Alchemy Master

Chapter 536, No Alternative

Xing Yuhuan would become the person in power of the Xing Family.

A future that was something only Qin Yichen knew.

Within Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, Qin Yichen could be said to have no foundation whatsoever. Befriending Xing Yuhuan was equivalent to befriending the Xing Family!

Qin Yichen naturally would not pass up this opportunity.

Although standing on the same battle line as Xing Yuhuan now might very well be inviting trouble, dangers were often accompanied by opportunities. Befriending him when Xing Yuhuan was in dire straits versus befriending him after he had already gained power were two different matters entirely.

After approximately ten-odd minutes, Xing Yuhuan appeared before Qin Yichen once again.

Although his complexion appeared to show little change, his originally somewhat disordered aura had clearly settled down.

“Your recovery is quite fast.” Qin Yichen spoke, the corner of his mouth carrying a trace of a smile.

“Who exactly are you?” Looking again at this person before him who was even younger than himself, there was some unusual colour in Xing Yuhuan’s eyes.

The medicinal effect of those Pill just now had clearly frightened him. Merely two Pill had actually restored his internal injuries and Yuan Energy to seventy or eighty percent. This could not help but make him take the person before him seriously.

This type of Pill, even with all his experience, were unheard of. If he had this type of Pill on him, how could he have fallen to his current state?

“Who I am is actually not that important. What is important is that we will not be enemies.” Xing Yuhuan agreed with this statement in his heart. If they were enemies, it would be absolutely impossible to share this type of Pill with him.

As a Martial Artist, he was very clear about the value of these Pills! Actually, the fact that he could still stand here meant he no longer regarded Qin Yichen as an enemy.

Friends? Perhaps they do not count on that, after all, this was only the first time the two had met.

*Haaa…* Xing Yuhuan sighed lightly. “Yeah, these things are no longer important… Perhaps I should not have returned this time.”

He had originally received his Father’s letter and returned to see his Father one last time, yet he had not expected that certain people within the Family would react so intensely.

They even wanted to immediately eliminate him!

Could it be that merely because he might threaten their positions, they would disregard even their blood related ties!?

He had to retreat.

However, It was not because he was afraid to fight. Rather, he was weary and disgusted with this kind of life!

“Hmm?” Hearing these words, Qin Yichen was startled and looked at him with some astonishment.

He heard the meaning in Xing Yuhuan’s words.

He did not know what had caused Xing Yuhuan to compete for the position of Patriarch of the Xing Family in his previous life, but now, if he did not persuade this future Patriarch before him, he might very well leave.

[Could it be that merely because of my two Pills, something had changed?] The corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth twitched slightly.

[Perhaps… If not for these two Pill, perhaps Xing Yuhuan would have been forced into a corner by those in the Xing Family before rising up in resistance out of hatred?]

“Well, in life, sometimes, we have no alternative.” When saying this sentence, the corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth also carried a trace of bitter smile. He did not wish to be enemies with anyone, but many things were beyond his control.

“No alternative…” Xing Yuhuan’s gaze looked towards the direction where Heavenly Dragon Imperial City was located, his eyes flickering, his heart seemingly becoming somewhat restless.

He suddenly thought of some things…

Although he had distanced himself from the Imperial City, he often encountered some inexplicable pursuits and assassinations. If not for a group of Fellow Brothers around him who protected him with their lives, he might not have made it to now.

Previously he had never quite understood why there were so many incidents targeting him, but now he could think it through.

It turned out that regardless of whether he was in the Imperial City or not, there had always been a mark on him that he could not wash away… the Son of the Patriarch of the Xing Family!

“You are right. Perhaps I truly have no alternative!” Suddenly, Xing Yuhuan’s gaze became resolute.

Perhaps, just as Qin Yichen had said, he had no alternative.

If certain people regarded him as a stumbling block and wanted to eliminate him, then even if he was just a stone, he would fiercely trip that person and make them fall headfirst with blood streaming!

Although he did not wish to take the helm of the Xing Family, it now appeared he must compete for it, even if it cost him his life!

Not for himself, but also to avenge those who had died for him!

*Phew…* His sudden fighting spirit made Qin Yichen breathe a sigh of relief.

[Thank god I managed to change his mind.] At the same time, it also made him realise that actually, he had only made Xing Yuhuan understand one thing earlier… some things could not be escaped from.

“Here are some more Pills. I hope they can help Brother Xing.” Qin Yichen reached his hand into his sleeve, quietly taking out a box of Pill from his ring and handing it to Xing Yuhuan.

These were all Pill he had prepared for himself, completely incomparable to the Pill of this world.

Xing Yuhuan hesitated slightly, but thinking of the effect of those Pills just now, he still took the box. “Many thanks!”

…

Qin Yichen then returned to the Imperial City alone.

At the entrance of the Shen Family, Shen Fangu was pacing anxiously, occasionally looking towards the street entrance.

After he learned of what had happened at the North Dipper Auction House, he had been worried sick.

After all, the one who Qin Yichen had offended was the Qian Family!

Qian Family’s gold business could even compete with World Aplenty Hall, which showed what degree their influence had reached in Heavenly Dragon Imperial City.

It was definitely not something that the Shen Family, a Second Tier Family, could afford to provoke.

However, what Shen Fangu cared most about now was Qin Yichen’s safety.

Qin Yichen’s talent was extremely high, far surpassing him, and even compared to those several dazzling prodigies within the Imperial Dynasty, he was not much inferior. Once his talent was displayed, it would definitely attract attention from all sides.

At that time, even if the Qian Family wanted to move against Qin Yichen, it would not be so easy. After all, within Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, it was not only the Qian Family that dominated alone.

For example, the Xing Family was not inferior to the Qian Family in the slightest!

“You’ve finally returned!” Upon seeing Qin Yichen appear at the street entrance, Shen Fangu quickly stepped forward to meet him.

“I have made the Manor Master worry.” Qin Yichen sighed.

Originally, he had wanted to resolve this hidden danger to avoid dragging the Shen Family into it, but he had not expected that Young Master of the Qian Family would not be there.

“You need not worry. His Qian Family cannot do anything to my Shen Family!”

Seeing the expression on his face, Shen Fangu seemed to know what he was worried about and spoke to comfort him.

To be able to be ranked as a Second Tier Force in Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, his Shen Family naturally also had certain foundations in place.

“So the Manor Master already knows.” Qin Yichen touched his nose bridge.

Without asking, it must have been Gongshu Zhiyi and the other who had told Shen Fangu.

However, this could not be blamed on them, after all, they were also worried about him.

“Come, let us go inside to speak.”

Having said this, Shen Fangu led Qin Yichen into the Shen Residence.
