Alchemy Master

Chapter 505, The Changing Situation

Translator: Silavin

“What do you think about the situation within the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor?” The Manor Master asked without inquiring too much about Qin Yichen’s background, changing the subject.

He asked this question, of course, because Qin Yichen had chosen Tian Liang to enter the Alchemy Manor.

Though he did not interfere with the affairs within the Alchemy Manor, this did not mean he was unaware of them. He was simply devoted to the Dao of Alchemy and disliked managing trivial matters.

However, Qin Yichen’s appearance this time made him feel that things had reached a point where he could no longer avoid getting involved.

If Qin Yichen had not come to his attention this time, would that not mean his Ten Corner Alchemy Manor would lose this talent?

“Uncle Shen, forgive my straightforwardness, but the current atmosphere in the Alchemy Manor is absolutely not good for the Alchemy Manor.” Qin Yichen’s expression was unusually solemn.

Currently, the Alchemy Masters in the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor spend their days forming cliques and flattering each other. Those who truly devoted themselves to diligent cultivation were extremely rare.

The Alchemy Manor existed to serve Alchemy Masters, not to serve those outside Forces.

Now, the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor was like a backyard for the Three Sects, cultivating Alchemy Masters specifically for them. Anyone who did not rely on them would be ostracised, suppressed, or even… eliminated!

“How do you think we should handle this?” The Manor Master rubbed his temples.

In fact, after the Pill Conference, he had considered taking action, but discovered it was a vicious cycle.

Due to the disparity in resources, independent Alchemy Masters inevitably could not compete with those backed by powerful Forces.

Now, the backbone of the entire Alchemy Manor consisted of people from the Three Sects. If he rashly suppressed them, it would cause enormous damage to the Alchemy Manor, and the situation would backfire.

“Add a Grand Adviser position for those that are independent.” Qin Yichen said, getting straight to the point.

It was precisely because of the Grand Adviser position’s special status that the factions with Sects backing them had been so fearless and brazen in suppressing those independent Alchemy Masters.

If independent Alchemy Masters could also have someone in the Grand Adviser position, the situation would certainly improve.

Of course, true fairness absolutely did not exist in this world.

Independent Alchemy Masters had fewer resources, so they had to put in twice the effort to make up for it and narrow the gap with the major factions.

Adding a Grand Adviser position for independent Alchemy Masters was actually providing independent Alchemy Masters with a reliable backing, giving them a good environment to grow.

“Why didn’t I think of that!” the Manor Master slapped his forehead.

In reality, he had been overthinking the matter.

“Then who do you think among the independent Alchemy Masters is most suitable for that position?” He asked again.

Although he asked casually, his trust in Qin Yichen was evident. If this matter were to leak out, it would certainly cause a stir throughout the land.

“Tian Liang!” Qin Yichen answered without hesitation.

“Tian Liang?” the Manor Master frowned.

Tian Liang’s talent was indeed exceptional, if not for what happened afterwards. But now, Tian Liang…

“Tian Liang is indeed a good candidate, but… I’m afraid he may struggle to command respect…” The Manor Master sighed and shook his head.

Even if he wanted to elevate Tian Liang, if Tian Liang lacked the strength to command respect, the position would be meaningless.

When all was said and done, strength was everything!

“Uncle Shen need not worry,” Qin Yichen smiled.

He certainly knew what the Manor Master was concerned about. Now that he had recovered, it was time to fulfil his earlier promise.

“Could you possibly…” The Manor Master’s eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the smiling youth before him, his pupils dilating.

Even he was powerless against injuries to the Knowledge Sea.

He had seen far too many examples of people who suffered lifelong regret due to such injuries.

If Tian Liang could be healed, would that not mean… Qin Yichen had a Pill that could treat one’s Knowledge Sea!?

How could that be possible? Even in the Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, such Pills did not exist. If they did, there would not be so many tragedies.

“If Tian Liang can recover, then the Grand Adviser position would certainly be his and his alone.” The Manor Master said in a measured tone, suppressing the shock in his heart.

Ultimately, he still harboured some disbelief.

“Then I thank Uncle Shen on behalf of Elder Tian Liang.” Qin Yichen said.

He had complete faith in Tian Liang’s character. If Tian Liang had been willing to bow his head to the Three Sects, he would not have ended up in his current predicament.

As for Tian Liang’s injuries, they were completely manageable for him.

The reason Pills that could treat Spiritual Energy injuries did not currently exist was because Compound Pills did not exist yet.

Soon, Shen Ling prepared the materials and brought them in.

“Go and prepare. In one month, we will head to the Heavenly Dragon Imperial City,” the Manor Master did not give many instructions. He believed that Qin Yichen had his own judgment and plans.

“Uncle Shen, this Junior will take his leave first.” Qin Yichen stood up, paid his respects to the Manor Master, and then left.

With only one month left, he had to seize the time to break through and stabilise his cultivation realm. Otherwise, there would be no way to deal with some of the things that would happen later.

However, before that, there was something he must do.

One day later…

Qin Yichen found Tian Liang and presented a Pill to him.

Tian Liang was visibly excited.

For him, he had awaited this day for too long. Hoped for this day, but dared not dream it in case he woke up from it in disappointment of reality.

After Qin Yichen had created so many miracles, he no longer had any doubts about Qin Yichen’s abilities.

He opened his mouth and swallowed the Pill.

The Pill dissolved as soon as it entered his mouth, transforming into a clear current that permeated his cerebral cortex.

Just like clear spring water flowing into dried-up fields, his originally barren Knowledge Sea was moistened and began to show signs of life.

*Aghhh…* Tian Liang couldn’t help but let out a soft groan before sitting down cross-legged.

Shortly after, a wave of Spiritual Energy rippled from his body.

Seeing this, Qin Yichen knew that the spirited and vigorous Tian Liang had returned.

After a long while, Tian Liang opened his eyes, and a flash of sharp light passed through them.

Feeling the surging Spiritual Energy in his Knowledge Sea, Tian Liang’s eyes grew moist.

He could scarcely believe this was real.

His injuries had actually been healed!!

“Congratulations, Elder Tian Liang!” Qin Yichen’s voice brought him back to reality, and at the same time, told him that this was real.

“I…” looking at the young man before him, Tian Liang’s mouth opened and closed several times, at a loss for words.

To him, Qin Yichen was like a saviour sent from Heaven, appearing before him and bringing him one surprise and shock after another.

“Elder Tian Liang, the Manor Master wishes to see you.” Just as he was about to express his gratitude, an announcement came from outside.

Tian Liang dared not disobey the Manor Master’s command.

Watching his departing figure, Qin Yichen knew that the structure of the Ten Corner Alchemy Manor was about to change.

And he had to begin preparing for his own affairs.
