Alchemy Master

Chapter 525, The First Step Successfully Taken

“For instance, those Lingyan Herb, Hundred Year Old Lingzhi, and Nourishing Spirit Flower—these three medicinal herbs have also been researched by the Alchemy Masters of our World Aplenty Hall…” Feng Jianzhong slightly narrowed his eyes. Although he harboured doubts, he did not voice his questions directly. Instead, he maintained a puzzled attitude while asking Qin Yichen.

Grandmaster Lan Wen, being the Chief Appraiser of World Aplenty Hall, also took the Pill Formula. After scanning it once, his brow furrowed tightly. This Formula appeared to have nothing unusual about it, but any Alchemy Master who understood the slightest bit about medicinal incompatibility would understand that this Pill Formula could not possibly form a Pill.

Both men gazed at Qin Yichen with incomprehension, awaiting the latter’s explanation.

“Have the two of you ever heard of… Compound Pills?” Qin Yichen felt no surprise at their reaction, as though everything was proceeding exactly as he had anticipated.

“Compound Pills? What is that?”

Feng Jianzhong and Grandmaster Lan Wen exchanged glances, murmuring this unfamiliar term, their eyes filled with bewilderment.

“Compound Pills are Pills that fuse different medicinal effects into one. This Clear Mind Pill is able to achieve its effect of treating mental disturbances precisely because it concentrates on clearing the mind and nourishing the Soul.”

Observing their expressions, Qin Yichen chuckled softly and began his explanation.

After nearly twenty minutes had passed, Qin Yichen finally ceased his explanation. At this moment, the eyes of both Feng Jianzhong and Grandmaster Lan Wen were filled with shock.

The Compound Pills that Qin Yichen described seemed to open an entirely new door before them—one completely different from ordinary Alchemy—allowing them to perceive a world unlike any other.

From ancient times to the present, there had never been any Pill that combined two different medicinal properties into one. If what this young man said was true, then these Compound Pills would absolutely be revolutionary!

During his explanation of Compound Pills, Qin Yichen had not revealed the most crucial element… Withered Frost Grass.

Withered Frost Grass was a material easily overlooked by people.

This was because it belonged to the Lowest Grade of medicinal herbs.

Qin Yichen’s reason for not revealing the secret of Withered Frost Grass was indeed driven by certain personal considerations.

Withered Frost Grass was very common.

This point was not incorrect.

However, throughout the entire Heavenly Dragon Imperial Dynasty, the region that produced Withered Frost Grass in abundance was only one place—the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty!

One could imagine what tremendous impact would befall the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty if the secret of Withered Frost Grass were made public.

Even if the Feng Family provided protection at that time, Qin Yichen would still be unable to safeguard Heavenly Unicorn.

The emergence of Compound Pills would certainly replace existing Pills to become the mainstream of the continent.

And Withered Frost Grass was the core and lifeblood of Compound Pills.

At that time, Heavenly Unicorn would certainly be torn apart. Moreover, if something went wrong, Qin Yichen currently lacked the ability to change anything.

This was something he was unwilling to see happen.

“Little Broth… I mean Sir Qin, the Compound Pills you speak of are not limited to just this Clear Mind Pill, I presume.”

After a considerable pause, it was still Feng Jianzhong, with his extensive experience, who first recovered from his shock. As a shrewd businessman, what he grasped first was the commercial opportunity hidden within those previous words!

Simultaneously, his mode of address towards Qin Yichen changed from the previous ‘Little Brother’ to a respectful title!

“Indeed, regarding Compound Pills, I do possess four or five Pill Formulas.”

Qin Yichen nodded and spoke in an understated manner.

“Four or five Compound Pill Formulas?!”

Upon hearing this, a gleam flashed through Feng Jianzhong’s eyes as he exclaimed loudly. He nearly could not restrain himself from jumping up.

One could hardly blame him for such loss of composure. Having heard Qin Yichen’s earlier explanation, he already understood what tremendous influence these Compound Pills would bring. Perhaps, as soon as they were released, they would absolutely bring an unprecedented impact to the Pill market of the Heavenly Dragon Imperial Dynasty!

Grandmaster Lan Wen, standing nearby, upon hearing this, also found his breathing becoming laboured.

Having spent so many years at World Aplenty Hall, as their Chief Appraiser, he had seen countless Treasured Wonders, and few items had surprised him. However, this was the first time anything had shocked him to such an extent!

Compound Pills—merely the concept contained within these two words, once publicised, would probably cause tremendous upheaval!

“Sir Qin, these Pill Formulas…”

Feng Jianzhong swallowed hard, blinking his eyes as he asked tentatively.

Qin Yichen frowned slightly. Originally, he had only wanted to exchange for some gold coins to purchase Shooting Star Spirit Crystals. One million—neither too much nor too little—would already have been sufficient.

However, after encountering Ouyang Haotian, Qin Yichen’s heart had undergone some changes.

Although the Clear Mind Pill’s effects were extremely good, ultimately its market was targeted only at Alchemy Masters. Even adding those Forces who wished to curry favour with Alchemy Masters, there was still a vast portion of the market that remained untapped.

After all, not everyone was qualified to become an Alchemy Master. Even in the Heavenly Dragon Imperial City region, amongst ten thousand people, there might not be even one!

During Qin Yichen’s contemplation, neither Feng Jianzhong nor Grandmaster Lan Wen pressed him, but instead watched Qin Yichen with anxious expressions.

Finally, under their nervous gazes, Qin Yichen slowly nodded and produced another Pill Formula.

“Yuan Healing Pill?”

Seeing these three words, both men’s brows furrowed slightly. There seemed to be nothing particularly special about it.

However, when Feng Jianzhong and the other man’s gazes fell upon the effects listed below the Pill Formula, their pupils gradually narrowed.

“Yuan Healing Pill, effects… treats Martial Artist injuries while rapidly restoring their Yuan Energy!”

*Siii* After reading this, Feng Jianzhong could not help but draw in a sharp breath.

This Formula was, to him, even more precious than the Clear Mind Pill Formula!

Why?

Because of the market!

The market for Clear Mind Pills was limited to Alchemy Masters. This consequently reduced the market size for Clear Mind Pills.

Yuan Healing Pills were different—they treated physical injuries and restored Yuan Energy!

They were simply essential items for all Martial Arts cultivators!

Even the lowest Martial Artists—who amongst them did not carry some medicine for healing?

These Yuan Healing Pills, apart from their injury-healing effects, could also restore Yuan Energy. These two effects, either one alone would be needed by countless Martial Artists. Having these two effects combined in a single Pill meant their popularity would require no imagination whatsoever!

“This Pill Formula carries the same price as the Clear Mind Pill Formula. What think you, Sir Qin?” After taking a deep breath, Feng Jianzhong finally suppressed his inner excitement and spoke slowly.

One million gold coins, plus a ten percent profit share—this price was truly substantial!

Qin Yichen offered no objection and nodded his agreement, thus finalising the transaction.

This was not merely a transaction, but rather the first step he was taking to approach the Feng Family.

The ten percent profit share was, naturally, his deliberate concession.
