Alchemy Master

Chapter 533, Assassination Attempt

“How naive. After offending me, Qian Zhengxi, you still think you can slip away from my grasp?” The Young Master sneered mockingly, then waved his hand. The black shadow in the pavilion bowed respectfully before withdrawing.

After travelling some distance from Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, Qin Yichen stepped down and shot skyward, rushing away at tremendous speed towards the distance.

At this velocity, after approximately a quarter of an hour, he had reached a dense forest a hundred kilometres from Heavenly Dragon Imperial City. His speed finally began to gradually slow down before he landed on a massive tree.

Qin Yichen then raised his head, gazing towards the horizon behind him, and suddenly smiled. “You three have been stalking me for so long. Aren’t you tired?”

“Hehe, your senses are rather sharp!” As Qin Yichen’s words fell, a cold, sinister laugh rang out from nowhere. Sharp whistling sounds suddenly arose from nearby, and three figures flashed into view.

Of these three figures, only one was the bodyguard from beside the Young Master earlier. The other two were Mid Stage Martial Kings, and another whose face appeared rather aged, with Yuan Energy fluctuations reaching the terrifying level of Late Stage Martial King Realm!

They stared at Qin Yichen with mocking gazes. After surveying their surroundings, they sneered contemptuously. “Brat, you are so caring. To think you would find yourself such a scenic burial ground!”

“How do you know this place wasn’t prepared for you all?” Qin Yichen also chuckled softly, cold gleams gradually condensing in his dark eyes.

“You seem rather confident.” The Late Stage Martial King Elder smiled faintly. “I thought someone who dared offend our Sixth Young Master would be someone remarkable. I never imagined it would merely be a small mouse that had fled until exhausted and finally dared to stop! Surrender yourself and I can grant you an intact corpse!”

“Butler Bai, Young Master said he wants his head…”

“Oh? What a pity then…”

The three spoke amongst themselves, looking as though they had already decided Qin Yichen’s fate. They did not even regard this youth as an opponent—such teasing was like a cat toying with a mouse.

“Indeed, what a pity. I had hoped that ballless guy would come himself. Ah, it seems this will require some effort after all.” Qin Yichen continued their casual conversation, chuckling softly.

“You’re seeking death!” Upon hearing him insult their Young Master, the three Martial Kings’ expressions finally grew cold. The Late Stage Martial King stared at Qin Yichen with particularly icy eyes.

“You’re all too talkative.” Qin Yichen shrugged his shoulders with an indifferent smile.

“Seize him. No need to hold back. I want to see just how hard his bones are!”

The Late Stage Martial King Elder’s eyes narrowed slightly, his expression gradually becoming somewhat ferocious.

“Yes!” Upon hearing his words, the two Martial Kings stepped forward, both fixing Qin Yichen with cold stares.

“Just these two aren’t enough. You there, why don’t you join them?” Facing the threat of two Martial Kings, Qin Yichen showed not the slightest fear. Rather, he somewhat impatiently mocked the Late Stage Martial King standing further back.

“You two, stand down. I shall tear him apart myself!” The moment Qin Yichen’s words fell, the Late Stage Martial King Elder’s expression darkened. Though he had not originally intended to personally take action, dense killing intent finally arose in his heart.

*Boom!* As he stepped forward, a powerful Yuan Energy storm suddenly erupted from within him. Mighty Yuan Energy swept across Heaven and Earth, instantly whipping the forest sea below into waves of green surges.

Witnessing this scene, Qin Yichen’s expression finally became slightly more serious. This was indeed expected of an expert from a First Tier Force of Heavenly Dragon Imperial Dynasty. Such a presence was far more formidable than any expert he had previously encountered in the Ten Corner Region!

However, if they thought this alone could finish him, they were still far from it!

Qin Yichen sneered inwardly. With a thought, Yuan Energy on the verge of breaking through to Mid Stage Martial King Realm also erupted from within him.

“You are an Early Stage Martial King? Just where did you get your arrogance from?”

Sensing Qin Yichen’s aura, all three Martial Kings were stunned. Had they been shouting at a fellow for ages who was merely a duck with a hard beak?

“Ridiculous! Such strength might be decent in some weaker Regions, but in Heavenly Dragon Imperial City, it amounts to absolutely nothing! Today, this old man shall teach you that one must understand the principle of keeping a low profile when conducting oneself! But, whether you’ll have the opportunity to learn depends on whether you can persist until that time!”

The Elder fixed his gaze on Qin Yichen, his words filled with dense killing intent echoing faintly in the sky above this forest. The Elder then moved his sleeve, extending one palm and pointing his finger at Qin Yichen from the air.

*Boom!…* As his somewhat withered finger pointed, the space beneath seemed to twist. A Yuan Energy beam approximately thirty metres violently shot forth.

For a Late Stage Martial King, just a casual finger strike possessed power far more terrifying than the full-strength attacks of Mid Stage Martial Kings!

Qin Yichen raised his head, gazing at the violently approaching Yuan Energy beam, and took a deep breath. His robes began moving without wind at this moment, rustling loudly, and his gaze suddenly became sharp and fierce.

*Boom!* As his arm pulled back, dense white light suddenly flickered on his right fist. Then, as he threw his punch, a white fist imprint approximately several metres in size also struck forth, finally colliding directly with that Yuan Energy beam in a hard confrontation.

*Boom!*

The two clashed head-on, immediately producing a thunderous roar that resonated throughout. Yuan Energy storms also raged wildly, and the dense forest below was forcibly flattened across a vast area.

Those Yuan Energy aftershocks automatically dissipated within one metre of the Late Stage Martial King Elder, not even stirring his robes.

In contrast, Qin Yichen was buffeted by the raging Yuan Energy aftershocks. However, when those aftershocks touched his body, they caused him no harm whatsoever. Instead, they mysteriously disappeared, as though devoured by his body.

“Hmm?” After the hard confrontation, Qin Yichen suddenly exclaimed softly, his gaze sharply sweeping towards a certain part of the forest before withdrawing.

“Oh? You actually blocked it?” A trace of surprise flashed through the Late Stage Martial King Elder’s eyes. Though it was merely his casual finger strike, to have it broken by a young man who had not even reached the Mid Stage Martial King Realm left him somewhat incredulous.
