Alchemy Master

Chapter 535, Chance Encounter with Wild Lion

Just as Qin Yichen’s words fell, a gleaming long sword appeared, stopping merely centimetres from the back of Qin Yichen’s head. The cold Sword Qi made Qin Yichen’s head stiffen with tension.

“Who sent you here?” A cold voice came from behind Qin Yichen.

“Send me?” Qin Yichen was slightly stunned. He could tell from the tone of the person behind him that if his explanation contained even the slightest misunderstanding, the sharp weapon radiating lethal intent would instantly pierce through his skull.

Fortunately, his life was temporarily back in his own hands.

“Senior, I believe there has been some misunderstanding between us. Earlier, I was merely fleeing here to escape the pursuit of others…” Qin Yichen spoke slowly, his body tense. Should he sense the slightest movement from behind, he would fight with everything he had in a desperate struggle.

“Don’t try to resist. Your little tricks that managed to kill a Late Stage Martial King are indeed surprising, but if you think you can use such methods against me, you’re still far too lacking.” As if seeing through Qin Yichen’s thoughts, the voice behind him spoke with some disdain.

“Speak. Who sent you here? If there’s even a word of lie… hmph!” Qin Yichen shook his head somewhat helplessly. He could naturally hear that this voice had no intention of joking with him. Moreover, when asking about who had sent him, there was a barely suppressed anger in the voice.

“Senior, I truly was tracked here by someone and had no choice but to take action. If I have caused any offence, I hope you will understand. I shall leave immediately…”

Qin Yichen smiled bitterly, then recounted the conflict with the Young Master from the Qian Family at the North Dipper Auction House.

After finishing his explanation, Qin Yichen shrugged his shoulders, presenting an attitude of complete resignation to whatever fate awaited him.

“The Qian family?” After hearing Qin Yichen’s explanation, the person behind him murmured softly, as if pondering something.

At this moment, although Qin Yichen appeared nonchalant, his heart was tense to the extreme, and sweat unconsciously soaked through his clothing.

The person behind him, who could approach silently without detection by his Spiritual Energy perception, was definitely an expert who had surpassed the Martial King Realm.

Fortunately, after the powerful figure behind him contemplated for a moment, as if confirming the truth of Qin Yichen’s words, the oppressive aura that had filled this space suddenly vanished, and the sharp intent at the back of Qin Yichen’s head was also withdrawn.

Feeling the pressure disappear, Qin Yichen finally breathed a sigh of relief. That sensation of being suppressed by the aura, almost unable to move, was truly unpleasant.

“Senior…”

Afterwards, Qin Yichen turned around. Just as he called out, his pupils suddenly contracted, and he involuntarily called out the latter’s name. “Xing Yuhuan?!”

About one meter behind him, a figure stood suspended in mid-air. This figure was someone Qin Yichen had seen when entering the Imperial City – it was none other than the one titled Wild Lion, Xing Yuhuan from the Xing Family!

However, the current Xing Yuhuan appeared somewhat down and out, completely lacking the demeanour of the outstanding talent of the younger generation who was at the city gates.

Moreover, under Qin Yichen’s keen Spiritual Energy perception, he could detect that Xing Yuhuan’s aura was extremely chaotic, as if he had experienced a great battle and suffered serious injuries.

“Leave, and don’t mention this incident to anyone!” Xing Yuhuan glanced at him indifferently and said. Given his reputation, being recognised was not surprising.

“You’re quite severely injured.” However, Qin Yichen did not leave immediately. Instead, he spoke with a hint of a smile.

“I happen to have some Healing Pills here that should help with your injuries.” As his words fell, Qin Yuhuan took out a jade bottle containing Yuan Healing Pill that he had prepared for himself from his ring and tossed it over.

Xing Yuhuan frowned. How could he possibly lack Healing Pills?

*Snap!*

However, having witnessed Qin Yichen’s battle with the Qian Family’s Tenth Elder earlier, and thinking of the powerful Spiritual Energy fluctuations the latter had displayed, clearly indicating he was in the Spiritual Rupture Realm, he still caught the jade bottle without hesitation.

“Take them. My Pills are definitely better than what you’ve prepared for yourself.” Seeing Xing Yuhuan’s reluctant expression, Qin Yichen chuckled and said.

When speaking these words, an unquestionable confidence burst forth from him, surprising even Xing Yuhuan, who had met countless people.

Of course, he had no idea where Qin Yichen’s enormous confidence came from.

After all, as an Alchemy Saint in his previous life, he indeed had sufficient grounds to speak such words in the Six Imperial Dynasties!

Xing Yuhuan pondered for a moment. Perhaps due to the powerful confidence Qin Yichen had displayed earlier, he could not help but open the bottle. He knew his internal injuries best – if not for his powerful Yuan Energy suppressing them, he could not have persisted until now.

The Healing Pills he had prepared had limited effects on his injuries. At this moment, he was also somewhat desperate.

Tilting the jade bottle slightly, two round Pills rolled into Xing Yuhuan’s palm, and a Pill fragrance that made one feel comfortable throughout their body upon inhaling it spread forth.

“What amazing Pills!” Smelling this pill fragrance, a flash of surprise crossed Xing Yuhuan’s eyes. This Pill fragrance alone far exceeded the Healing Pills he had prepared for himself!

Subsequently, Xing Yuhuan flipped his palm and swallowed the Pills in one go. Immediately, he felt the two Pills dissolve upon entering his mouth, transforming into a warm current that flowed down through his meridian.

Under this warm current, wherever it passed, his originally damaged meridian seemed to emit comfortable sighs of relief.

“These Pills…” Feeling this change, Xing Yuhuan’s expression suddenly changed. Then, he cupped his fists towards Qin Yichen and shot down rapidly towards the forest below.

Clearly, having sensed the Pills’ healing effects on himself, he was eager to start focusing on recovering.

Qin Yichen was not surprised by Xing Yuhuan’s reaction. He smiled lightly and followed the former down, though he did not enter the forest. Instead, he concealed himself in a large tree with dense branches, spreading his Spiritual Energy perception.

Qin Yichen acted this way for his own reasons.

With Xing Yuhuan’s strength and the Xing Family behind him, no Force in the Imperial Dynasty would dare provoke him. What had reduced him to this state must be related to the Xing Family.

Currently, the Xing Family was in the midst of a transition, for a new Patriarch. Although Xing Yuhuan possessed exceptional strength, he was still just an Illegitimate Child looked down upon by the Nobility.

An Illegitimate Child who showed signs of surpassing those Pure Blooded Xing Family descendants in strength, who had returned to Heavenly Dragon Imperial City at this critical juncture, would certainly arouse suspicion and dissatisfaction from many.

Xing Yuhuan’s severe injuries, and the fact that he did not even have his Lion with him in his current dejected state, were likely connected to the Xing Family.

At this time, befriending Xing Yuhuan would definitely be beneficial for Qin Yichen!
