Alchemy Master

Chapter 122, Time to Make a Name

Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce!

A rising business that had entered the sights of the people in the Royal City in just a few short days, and in one day, became a highly sought-after First Tier Family!

The reason it was still a First Tier Family was because, until now, the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce did not have its own Alchemy Grandmaster. However, Qin Yichen did not need to worry about these things anymore.

That day, after Master Gu Ye and Zhou Tianwei made an appearance, the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce became where every Alchemy Master in the entire Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty wanted to join!

This was, after all, the Business Alliance that Master Gu Ye had joined.

As long as they performed well, there was hope of entering Master Gu Ye’s sight, and if he took notice… that would undoubtedly be equivalent to ascending to Heaven in a single step.

Shu Ruyan indeed had great foresight. Among the Alchemy Masters she recruited, besides two Second Grade Alchemy Masters and seven First Grade Alchemy Masters, there were also more than ten Alchemist Assistants.

This was not to say that the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce could not recruit more First Grade Alchemy Masters, but rather, she chose to consider long-term development.

Firstly, not everyone could afford Pills. So, she set the number of Second Grade Alchemy Masters at two, because High Grade Pills were not something everyone could afford, and besides. Furthermore, what other Business Alliances and the Four Major Families sold were definitely much worse than what they could potentially refine.

Since that was the case, it was better to have some more excellent, talented apprentices.

The High Grade Pills that Qin Yichen refined were sold out in a single day. The Yuan Healing Pill was actually bid up to three thousand silver coins each.

The Qi Bursting Pill was not far behind. These two types of Pills brought the Business Alliance nearly twenty thousand silver coins in income.

In this era where Withered Frost Grass was cheap, this could already be considered nearly twenty thousand in pure profit, because the cost was only a few dozen silver coins.

Of course, others did not know about this. They believe good Pills surely used expensive medicinal herbs, and there was also the possibility of failure. If it failed several times, it might even result in a loss.

Nevertheless, their success still brought the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce into the sights of the Four Major Families.

As soon as Zhou Tianwei returned, she was called by the Zhou Family Patriarch, Zhou Yongsi.

It was not just outsiders who were confused, even Zhou Yongsi, the Zhou Family Patriarch, was completely unaware.

“Tianwei, what’s the deal with the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce?” As soon as Zhou Tianwei entered, Zhou Yongsi directly asked.

When those few new medicines came out, how could he, as the Zhou Family Patriarch, not know their value?

He did not understand why Zhou Tianwei knew about these things but had never mentioned them before?!

Especially since the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce was giving profits to Zhou Tianwei, not to the Zhou Family… this was even more intriguing.

“Patriarch, it’s best not to have designs on the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.” Zhou Tianwei was even more direct, advising the Patriarch.

The more she understood about Qin Yichen, the more she felt he was unfathomable. If the Zhou Family wanted to swallow him up, the one who would suffer would definitely be the Zhou Family.

However, Zhou Yongsi’s face darkened, becoming somewhat unpleasant. He saw it as Zhou Tianwei not allowing the Zhou Family to touch her personal income.

“Tianwei…”

“Patriarch, do you know that even my Master only took a ten percent of the profits?” Zhou Tianwei sighed, forced to reveal some inside information.

“What… what did you say!?” Zhou Yongsi thought he had misheard, looking at her with a face full of astonishment.

“Tianwei has said all she can. Patriarch should think thrice before making a decision.” After saying this, Zhou Tianwei turned and walked out of the hall, heading towards her own quarters, leaving Zhou Yongsi standing alone in silence.

Perhaps, just as Qin Yichen said, the Zhou Family was only safe when in one’s own hands!

Compared to the Zhou Family, although the other three Major Families had not made a move, they had begun to intentionally or unintentionally exclude and reject the Zhou Family. After all, the Zhou Family was associated with the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce. If it developed, after several years, the Zhou Family would definitely dominate alone!

The other three Major Families would not sit idly by and watch this happen.

…

Time flew, and soon came a grand event in the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty, the annual Alchemy Competition.

During these few days, the population flow in the Royal City was increasing at a rapid rate, obviously, the Alchemy Competition attracted not just Alchemy Masters, but even more people from various places who came to watch the excitement.

Being able to witness such a grand event would give them something to boast about in the future.

On this day, when the first ray of sunlight broke through the constraints of the horizon and shone on the largest city in the Heavenly Unicorn Dynasty, figures wearing Alchemy Master robes began to appear in twos and threes on the quiet streets.

These noble Alchemy Grandmasters, each rarely seen on ordinary days, were shrouded in a layer of mystery. In people’s hearts, they were treated with a deep sense of awe.

Today, however, these high-status Alchemy Masters could be seen everywhere on the streets.

Although their walking routes differed, their destination was the same – the tallest building standing in the Royal City… the Royal City Alchemy Guild!

This was not to say that the Royal City Alchemy Guild was above the authority of the Royal Family, but rather, a country could exist without a Royal Family, but it could not exist without Alchemy Masters. The fact that the Royal City Alchemy Guild building was taller than the Royal Palace indirectly demonstrated the importance of Alchemy Masters.

Qin Yichen, as usual, got up early and practised the Nameless Cultivation Technique in his small courtyard until the Sun rose before finishing.

“Today is the day I make my name known!” He looked at the slowly rising red Sun on the horizon, his eyes filled with determination.

He had had enough of being oppressed, and he did not want his loved ones to live with their heads bowed before others! If one had to watch others’ faces for everything they did, letting Family members be bullied and humiliated, what meaning was there in regressing!?

He entered the room, washed up, changed into a proper Alchemy Master robe, then hung the Medal on his chest.

His Medal was still the most ordinary and basic, without even a pattern. He had also forgotten to take an assessment to exchange for a higher-grade Medal.

Qin Yichen did not mind though.

Afterwards, he walked out of the room with a refreshed look, entering the hall.

Inside, Shu Ruyan and Shu Xin, the two Sisters, were already sitting there waiting for him.

Although Shu Ruyan was still the Chairman of the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce, the core of the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce had long since become Qin Yichen. Shu Ruyan was very clear about this point.

Without Qin Yichen, this seemingly promising Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce would completely collapse in an instant.

“You’re up?”  Seeing Qin Yichen come out, Shu Ruyan put down her teacup.

“En.” Qin Yichen nodded, looking at her beautiful face, and joked, “It’s rare for our Chairman to not be guarding her Medicine Shop today.”

These days, Shu Ruyan has been staying in the Medicine Shop every day, afraid that something unexpected might happen.
