Alchemy Master

Chapter 121, Guidance

At this point, Master Gu Ye was certain that Qin Yichen possessed Understanding Realm of proficiency over Spiritual Energy.

Thinking of this, his gaze towards Qin Yichen grew increasingly fervent. He was already somewhat eager to know what differences there were between the Understanding Realm and the Entry Realm.

Qin Yichen naturally knew what he wanted.

Just now, Gu Ye had given him and the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce ample face. At this moment, he naturally could not refuse Gu Ye’s request. Moreover, in his past life, Gu Ye had also shown him great kindness.

No matter how talented a person, to grow, they must have someone to guide them. Groping in the dark by oneself would be like Gu Ye, stuck in the same position for decades, unable to advance a single step.

*Whoosh!* Qin Yichen took out that somewhat battered small Pill Furnace.

“The so-called Understanding Realm is: spirit like a needle, force transformed into threads, long-lasting and tenacious…” Qin Yichen recited an abstruse and difficult to understand incantation. Beside him, Zhou Tianwei listened in complete confusion, while Gu Ye first froze, then furrowed his brow, seeming to be pondering something.

Qin Yichen did not disturb them.

As he read the incantation, a subtle change immediately occurred in the aura around him. He casually picked up some medicinal herbs and tossed them into the small Pill Furnace.

*Whoosh!* Immediately after, flames rose beneath the Pill Furnace. Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy controlled the temperature of the Pill Furnace, slowly refining the medicinal herbs within.

Seeing this series of actions, Gu Ye did not see him as being careless as ordinary people might. On the contrary, his eyes were filled with shock.

In any endeavor, proficiency through familiarity was greatly emphasized. Measuring herbs was the same. Qin Yichen’s movements in taking the herbs showed no hesitation at all, indicating that when he picked up those medicinal herbs, their weight was already in his mind.

[What a terrifying level of proficiency! Is this really something a teenager of just over ten years old can achieve!?]

*Hum hum…* Before Gu Ye could be too surprised, his pupils contracted. His attention was drawn to Qin Yichen’s hand movements above the Pill Furnace.

Qin Yichen’s palms seemed to wave casually above the Pill Furnace, patting left once, then tapping again. These seemingly unintentional movements were actually sending bursts of Spiritual Energy of varying force into the Pill Furnace, controlling each medicinal herb inside. The entire set of movements flowed like water, appearing to have no pattern, yet feeling very smooth.

In fact, Gu Ye eagerly anticipated each wave of this palm, as if his own Spiritual Energy was being cleansed by it.

With each wave of Qin Yichen’s palm, the medicinal herbs inside the Pill Furnace flowed accordingly. Each herb was perfectly refined into medicinal liquid, without the slightest error.

His entire set of movements seemed magical. Gu Ye and Zhou Tianwei stared unblinkingly, as if afraid of missing a detail.

*Pat!* Then, Qin Yichen’s palm suddenly flipped over, slapping down on the Pill Furnace. Immediately, some impurities erupted from within the Pill Furnace, casually swept aside by his hand.

At this point, inside the Pill Furnace, some liquid so clear it was almost transparent flowed quietly.

As Qin Yichen’s movements stopped, Zhou Tianwei’s body trembled slightly as she came back to her senses. However, Gu Ye kept his eyes closed, brow slightly furrowed, taking a long time to regain awareness.

“Old…” Seeing Gu Ye’s unusual state, Zhou Tianwei was startled. Before she could call out, Qin Yichen covered her mouth with his hand.

“Don’t make a sound. Whether your Master can enter the Understanding Realm depends on this moment.” Qin Yichen whispered in her ear.

Feeling the hot breath on her ear, Zhou Tianwei’s face instantly turned bright red. But before she could react, Qin Yichen had already stealthily moved away.

Although she wanted to scold him a few times in her heart, seeing her Master’s state, Zhou Tianwei could only suppress the shame and anger in her heart, quietly remaining in place, only glaring at Qin Yichen a few times with her eyes. [This bastard is getting more and more unrestrained in front of me!]

“Understanding, Understanding… I finally understand. So this is what the Understanding Realm is!” After about ten minutes, Master Gu Ye’s body suddenly trembled. Then he opened his eyes, filled with joy, first muttering a few times, then bursting into laughter.

All along, he could not take that final step into the Understanding Realm because he simply diod not comprehend what the understanding was.

But just now, sensing the Spiritual Energy Qin Yichen deliberately revealed, he… had an epiphany!

This was equivalent to a bright lamp lighting up in what was previously pitch darkness ahead.

Although Master Gu Ye had not broken through yet, it was now only a matter of time.

“Master…” Seeing him so out of character, Zhou Tianwei’s eyes flashed with astonishment. When has she ever seen her Master so crazy? It as though he was a completely different person.

However, she did not know that with her Spiritual Energy, she simply could not perceive the essence of how Qin Yichen had controlled his Spiritual Energy just now.

“Haaaaa…” After a while, Master Gu Ye finally let out a long breath, then cupped his hands towards Qin Yichen with some respect, “This old one will forever remember Master Qin’s guidance today!”

He had even changed how he addressed Qin Yichen.

In this world, whether on the Path of Martial Cultivation or the Path of Alchemy, those who achieve greatness are regarded as vanguards towards the unknown and teachers for those behind.

“Master Gu Ye is too kind to this youngster.” As Master Gu Ye was about to bow deeply, Qin Yichen hurriedly supported him, his face full of embarrassment. “Master Gu Ye was only stuck in place because of a lack of understanding of the Understanding Realm. Today’s matter was just a small effort from me, I really don’t dare claim credit.”

In fact, even without him, Gu Ye would have broken through in a few years. He had only brought the time forward by a few years.

However, their exchange left Zhou Tianwei feeling as if thunder had struck in her heart. It was only now that she realized Gu Ye was about to break through!

Understanding Realm! Even those Elders in the Alchemy Guild of the Central Province were only at the Understanding Realm.

Zhou Tianwei could not imagine what a sensation it would cause if this news spread!

[No… it seems like Qin Yichen had already reached the Understanding Realm long ago! What a monster! This guy simply isn’t Human!]

“Master Gu Ye, you should just continue to call me Young Master Qin, it feels strange otherwise.” Qin Yichen rubbed his nose bridge.

“This…” Gu Ye hesitated for a moment, but still nodded and agreed, not dragging it out, “Then I’ll call you Young Master Qin.”

“Young Master Qin came to the Royal City this time to participate in the Alchemy Competition, right?” As the saying goes, great kindness needs no words of thanks. Master Gu Ye did not keep mentioning the favor, nor did he say many polite phrases.

“En.” Qin Yichen did not conceal this.

The Alchemy Competition was a good opportunity to make a name for oneself. If he were truly just an unknown, his convenient Father-in-law probably would not even glance at him.

“Good, then we’ll talk in detail after the Alchemy Competition.” Gu Ye was already impatient to go back and experiment.

Qin Yichen naturally understood him and did not try to keep him. Soon after, Master Gu Ye hurriedly left.

Zhou Tianwei gave him a complex look, then also left the Soaring Joy Chamber Of Commerce.
