Alchemy Master

Chapter 221, The Deacon Takes in a Disciple

Translator: Silavin

In Elder Xiao Lin’s courtyard, under Qin Yichen’s encouraging gaze, Lin Miaohan stood before a Pill Furnace.

After taking a deep breath, she began refining a Pill.

From the moment she started, Elder Xiao Lin began to take this young woman seriously, since Lin Miaohan could now manage without measuring the ingredients.

This was certainly the result of Qin Yichen’s special training. He knew very well how important this point was, so he had Lin Miaohan and others focus on this. With his experience, in just two short years, Lin Miaohan had mastered this Technique.

Although not as natural, quick, and accurate as Qin Yichen, she was compareable to Zhao Ritian.

This made our Zhao Ritian quite depressed.

This was something he had taken pride in…

He felt his confidence was being trampled.

There was also Lin Miaohan’s Pill Refining Technique.

When Zhao Ritian’s gaze turned to Qin Yichen, it was full of resentment. Clearly, the Alchemy Technique Lin Miaohan had mastered was superior to the one he had exchanged for that one kilogram of Heavenly Lightning Yuan Stones.

There were two streams of tears in his heart. After all, he, Zhao Ritian, was actually being surpassed by a woman.

Obviously because, except for Spiritual Energy cultivation, Lin Miaohan was stronger than him in every aspect.

Elder Xiao Lin’s eyes grew brighter and brighter. At this moment, his gaze towards Lin Miaohan was like looking at a precious treasure.

“I…”

“I’ll take her as my Disciple!” Just as he was about to speak, a voice came from the courtyard entrance rang out.

“Deacon Min?” Everyone’s gaze turned over, then Elder Xiao Lin’s face turned red as he blocked him from the front.

“No way! I’ve already accepted her!”

“Has she formally become your Disciple? Huh?” Deacon Min glanced at him indifferently.

He had been watching the whole process.

“Uh…” Elder Xiao Lin never expected that this man, a Deacon of all things, would play such tricks. [Good Heavens, even a Deacon is snatching away Disciples…]

“Xiao Lin, let me tell you, you’re too impetuous right now. You should focus your mind on the Dao of Alchemy… let me focus on teaching the younger generation.” Deacon Min soon put on airs and started lecturing Elder Xiao Lin, “Alright, enough lecturing. I’m taking this girl with me, you just focus on your cultivation.”

He quickly pulled Lin Miaohan away, and Elder Xiao Lin could not stop them no matter how hard he tried.

He wanted to cry but had no tears!

This was the power of hierarchy! One rank simply higher crushes the other.

This was of course an unexpected surprise for Qin Yichen. With Deacon Min as her Master, who would dare touch Lin Miaohan now!?

Lin Miaohan remained in a dazed state throughout though.

Just like that, she had entered the Alchemy Tower that all Alchemists dreamed of? Moreover, she’d been accepted as a Personal Disciple of a Deacon!

Of course, she did not know how precious those Alchemy Techniques Qin Yichen had taught her were, but Deacon Min, Elder Xiao Lin, and Zhao Ritian understood very well.

This was also why Elder Xiao Lin and Deacon Min were fighting to take her in as a Disciple.

“You value beauty over friendship!” As soon as Deacon Min left, Zhao Ritian rushed up, spraying spit on Qin Yichen’s face, “I don’t care, you must teach me that Technique!”

Hearing him say this, even Elder Xiao Lin cast over an expectant gaze.

“I’ll demonstrate once, how much you learn depends on yourself.” Qin Yichen had no choice but to give in to his pestering. He demonstrated the Alchemy Technique Lin Miaohan used in slow motion, then took the opportunity to slip away while the two were trying to comprehend it.

When he saw Lin Miaohan again, she had already become the Deacon’s Personal Disciple.

She even had several Alchemy Tower Apprentices trying to curry favour with her, and they were not low-ranked – all were Three Stars, with some Four Star Apprentices among them.

“Qin Yichen.” Upon seeing Qin Yichen, Lin Miaohan immediately shook them off and ran over.

“Ah, our Big Sister Miaohan is now so popular.” Qin Yichen glanced at those unfriendly gazes, paying them no heed, instead greeting Lin Miaohan in a teasing tone.

His mischievous smile made Lin Miaohan blush and lower her head.

This intimate scene made those pursuers very uncomfortable.

“Who is that guy?” That Four Star Apprentice narrowed his eyes, looking at Qin Yichen with hostility.

No one had expected Lin Miaohan to suddenly be taken as a Personal Disciple by Deacon Min, but undoubtedly, Lin Miaohan had become the Alchemy Tower’s new noble, becoming the pursuit target of most male Apprentices.

Let alone her status as a Deacon’s Personal Disciple, just her appearance attracted many men.

If they could pursue her successfully, for many, it would be like ascending to Heaven in one step. For those from weak Family backgrounds, the significance was even greater. If they had a Deacon backing them, their status, their Family’s status, would naturally be different.

“Seems to be that new Apprentice, called Qin Yichen or something…” Someone recognized Qin Yichen, showing some wariness toward him.

Since entering the Alchemy Tower, Qin Yichen had emerged as a dark horse, entering the Alchemy Ranking. Although not yet among the top ranks, everyone knew that with his talent, reaching the top ten was just a matter of time.

“Hmph, so this is that bumpkin from a third-rate kingdom?”

The Four Star Apprentice was not at all impressed, and after learning Qin Yichen’s identity, he walked forward with a challenging attitude.

Those Three Star Apprentices naturally followed.

They were happy to see conflict between the two, as long as they could benefit from it.

“So you’re Qin Yichen?” The Four Star Apprentice appeared with a somewhat disdainful tone, full of arrogance, as if even acknowledging Qin Yichen’s existence was doing the other party a favour.

“Oh, Big Sister Miaohan, you have something on your face, let me wipe it off for you.” Qin Yichen completely ignored him, instead intimately rubbing Lin Miaohan’s pretty face with his palm, feeling her soft, smooth skin.

His self-absorbed attitude immediately made the Four Star Apprentice’s face darken.

A new Apprentice dared to ignore him?!

“Kid, I’m talking to you!” Those words came out through his clenched teeth, everyone around could hear the anger in his tone.

However, Qin Yichen acted as if he had not heard him, saying calmly to the still confused Lin Miaohan, “Oh, it was just a fly, I’ve shooed it away.”

This indirect insult made the Four Star Apprentice explode.

“Qin Yichen!” Just as he was about to grab Qin Yichen’s collar and berate him, a voice came over.

It was Zhao Ritian.

This was a voice he could not forget.

It could be said to be the presence of their nightmares.

They soon saw Zhao Ritian walk over, heading straight for Qin Yichen.

“Come with me, that old man is looking for you.” Zhao Ritian similarly ignored them, speaking to Qin Yichen.

Of course, they dared not get angry now, even feeling relieved that Zhao Ritian was not coming for them.

“Old man? Who?” Qin Yichen asked puzzledly.

“Who else could it be, that old man of course. You’ll know once we get there.” Zhao Ritian showed some impatience.
