Alchemy Master

Chapter 242, Public Exposure

“Lin Yi, if you were the one who developed it, why is it that you can’t explain how it achieves the effect of treating Soul injuries!?” Seeing Lin Yi speechless, Zhao Ritian immediately shouted aloud.

Qu Huazheng’s brows furrowed. With his experience, he had clearly noticed some inconsistencies.

“Hmph! This Spirit Healing Pill was developed through my three years of hard work. You only need to know its effects. As for how it works, I apologize but I cannot disclose that!” After a while, Lin Yi gritted his teeth and stubbornly replied. However, the credibility of his words was extremely low now.

“Are those from the Western Region really so despicable as to steal the Northern Region’s Pill Formula?”

“Nonsense! In terms of research and innovation, the Western Region has always been far ahead. Lin Yi’s talent in innovation is beyond doubt. Have you forgotten the formula Lin Yi displayed in the last summit?”

“Heheh, that’s uncertain. If the Northern Region doesn’t have Qin Yichen, perhaps I wouldn’t doubt Lin Yi, but now…”

“Exactly, I think Lin Yi is guilty!”

Whispers began to rise from all around. Initially, there were still some who admired Lin Yi and argued in his defense, but these arguments seemed exceptionally weak among the many condemning voices. They were quickly drowned out by the crowd’s chatter.

“Heheh… is this really considered a confidential secret that cannot be disclosed?” At this moment, Qin Yichen chuckled lightly, taking a small step forward. His black eyes swept across the crowd, and under his gaze, the previously clamorous crowd suddenly fell silent.

Clearly, countless people were waiting for Qin Yichen’s next words.

Seeing everyone’s reaction, Qin Yichen nodded with satisfaction. He turned his gaze toward Lin Yi. “Let me tell you – the Clear Mind Pill works by nourishing and stabilising the Soul, thereby achieving the effect of healing its injuries! As for why I know this principle while you don’t, that’s because this Pill Formula wasn’t developed by you, but by me!”

Qin Yichen raised his arm, finger suddenly pointing at Lin Yi, his words carrying a trace of powerful Spiritual Energy that made other’s ears ring.

*Tap!* Under this angry shout, Lin Yi’s body involuntarily stepped backward. This display of guilt triggered another wave of sighs from the crowd.

On the high platform, Qiu Yushu’s expression also changed, but before he could speak, a subtle yet terrifying wave of energy emanated from Peak Master Qu Huazheng.

“Lin Yi, is what Qin Yichen says true!?”

Suddenly, a terrifying Spiritual Pressure enveloped the entire vast square. Qu Huazheng’s voice rang out like thunder beneath the Alchemy Peak. This voice was like an emperor interrogating his subjects, making it impossible for anyone to think of lying.

*Bang!* Under this questioning, Lin Yi directly fell to his knees, his head hanging low, not daring to argue half a sentence.

With this scene, the matter of the Clear Mind Pill Formula had obviously come to light.

Once the matter had been cleared up. After a while, that oppressive Spiritual Pressure slowly dispersed.

“I never thought Lin Yi would be this kind of person…”

“How shameless, actually stealing someone else’s Pill Formula. If Qin Yichen hadn’t exposed him, he would probably still be righteously enjoying the benefits of claiming this Pill Formula for himself…”

“That Wang Daoyun isn’t anything good either. No wonder his Pill Furnace exploded in the second round. To think he had already conspired with Lin Yi!”

After the pressure dispersed, waves of discussion emerged from the crowd.

In the Northern Region’s group, Wang Daoyun’s head also hung low. The scene he feared most had still occurred…

After this incident, the names of Wang Daoyun and Lin Yi would spread throughout the Thousand Mist Empire at an extremely fast pace, but definitely not in a good way. Even with their prodigious talents, it would probably be extremely difficult for them to establish themselves in the Thousand Mist Empire in the future.

After a while, the clamorous crowd gradually fell silent. All eyes turned to the central figure on the high platform, waiting for Peak Master Qu Huazheng to handle the situation.

“Lin Yi, Wang Daoyun, you two are henceforth expelled from the Alchemy Tower!” Under everyone’s gaze, Qu Huazheng’s somewhat angry voice slowly spread out.

“Peak Master, I was wrong, please give me another chance!” Hearing Qu Huazheng’s merciless words, Lin Yi’s body trembled, his knees collapsing like jelly.

However, his plea fell on deaf ears. They did not earn Qu Huazheng’s forgiveness. Instead, there was disgust in his gaze.

Soon, from the Alchemy Peak Guards maintaining order at the side, two expressionless men approached Lin Yi, each grabbing an arm and carrying him away.

“Tower Master, Tower Master… please speak up for me!” Soon, Lin Yi’s figure disappeared into the sea of people, his desperate cries still faintly echoing.

Qiu Yushu’s face was extremely gloomy at this moment. Joking aside, asking him to plead for him? Could he not see that the Peak Master was livid right now? Moreover, how could a mere Tower Master change the Peak Master’s decision?

“Qin Yichen, was this Pill Formula truly developed by you?” After dealing with Lin Yi’s matter, the subtle waves of agitation around Qu Huazheng’s body also calmed down. His gaze returned to normal as he looked at Qin Yichen and asked.

“Strictly speaking, this Pill Formula was originally developed by Elder Xiao Lin of the Northern Region Alchemy Tower.” Qin Yichen cupped his hands and said.

“Oh? A Pill Formula that even my Alchemy Peak couldn’t develop was successfully created by an Elder from your Northern Region?” Qu Huazheng nodded and asked with interest. “How can your Pill achieve the effect of healing Soul injuries through nourishing and stabilising the Soul? These two effects are not that easy to combine, are they?”

Hearing Qu Huazheng’s words, everyone’s ears perked up. At this moment, their attention finally moved on from Lin Yi’s episode.

Indeed, nourishing and stabilising the Soul, thereby healing its injuries. How was this possible? These were two effects in one Pill.

“Hehe, Peak Master, this is what makes this Pill type special. It is a Compound Pill…” Qin Yichen said.

“Compound Pill? What’s that?” Hearing this unfamiliar term, curiosity surged in Qu Huazheng’s eyes. His intuition told him that this was no simple matter.

“A Compound Pill refers to a Pill that combines different medicinal effects into one…” Regarding the Peak Master’s question, Qin Yichen had no intention of holding back and directly explained the concept of Compound Pills.

Originally, he had planned to announce the matter of Compound Pills in front of everyone after the summit. However, since Qu Huazheng had questioned him at this moment, Qin Yichen naturally did not refuse and revealed some information.
