Alchemy Master

Chapter 204, Ascending the Rankings

Translator: Silavin

*Pa!* This time, no one blocked Qin Yichen. His almost solidified Spiritual Energy Attack directly broke through Du Yuanhong’s offensive and, without losing momentum, shattered Du Yuanhong’s Divine Soul Bead into pieces.

*Bang!* With his Divine Soul Bead shattered, Du Yuanhong’s mind was turned to mush. His eyes widened in disbelief before he collapsed to the ground.

After dealing with him, Qin Yichen turned his gaze toward the stunned Huyuan Songqing. “You defeated Dog, it’s now your turn.”

“You… just you wait!” Seeing Qin Yichen’s cold gaze, Huyuan Songqing nearly lost control of his bodily functions. In the Second Heaven, he needed to use half his Spiritual Energy to resist the Spiritual Energy Attacks from the Spiritual Refinement Array. Even at full strength, he dared not  face Qin Yichen head-on, let alone now!

At this moment, facing Qin Yichen’s murderous gaze, he no longer had the courage to shout threats.

*Whoosh!* In the next instant, Huyuan Songqing crushed the Talisman in his hand, his figure instantly disappearing from the Second Heaven.

Qin Yichen did not take this small interlude too seriously. If he really killed Huyuan Songqing, his future days would be even more restless.

He casually took out the Alchemy Card from the lifeless Du Yuanhong’s embrace, and seeing over three hundred Contribution Points on it, he contentedly continued forward.

Qin Yichen’s main purpose in challenging the Spiritual Refinement Array was to change the Spiritual Refinement Ranking – this would be his first step toward entering the Alchemy Ranking!

Qin Yichen soon passed through the Second Heaven Ninth Layer without much difficulty and entered the Third Heaven.

…

When Qin Yichen had just entered the Third Heaven, outside the Spiritual Refinement Array, except for him and Bian Lingzhu, all other New Apprentices had already left.

With Huyuan Songqing’s strength, entering the Third Heaven should not have been too difficult, but unfortunately, he had made an enemy of Qin Yichen.

“Tsk tsk… only half an hour, and the New Apprentices that have not reached the Spirit Realm in their Spiritual Energy cultivation have all come out. Even someone at the Spirit Realm has also come out. Looks like this batch of New Apprentices isn’t that impressive.”

“Hey, that kid called Qin Yichen is still inside. Let’s just wait and see when he comes out.”

“He most likely won’t take too long. I bet he’ll be out within ten minutes.”

Seeing New Apprentices coming out one after another, many Senior Apprentices were freely discussing, some even setting up betting pools.

…

“Spirit Realm Spiritual Energy Attacks, but they are too scattered. As long as one’s Spiritual Energy mastery reaches the Entry Realm, it is more than enough to pass through the Third Heaven.”

Walking in the Third Heaven Ninth Layer, Qin Yichen softly muttered.

Then, with a step, Qin Yichen’s figure disappeared from the Third Heaven Ninth Layer and entered the Fourth Heaven First Layer.

…

As Qin Yichen entered the Fourth Heaven, some commotion occurred outside the Spiritual Refinement Array.

Under the huge Spiritual Refinement Ranking tablet, a golden light suddenly flashed, then quickly climbed up the ranking, erasing the original name in the hundredth position.

‘Spiritual Refinement Ranking One Hundredth Place… One Star Apprentice, Qin Yichen!’

As the golden light dimmed slightly, a line of flickering golden characters appeared in everyone’s view, and instantly, the previously noisy crowd of Apprentices fell silent.

“How is this possible?!” Huyuan Songqing’s already ugly expression grew even worse after seeing this scene.

After killing a Two Stars Apprentice, Qin Yichen could still reach the Fourth Heaven of the Spiritual Refinement Array. Just how strong was he?!

Without doubt, being able to reach the Fourth Heaven meant that Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy Mastery had reached at least the Understanding Realm!

The Understanding Realm was something that most people could never reach in their entire lifetime. Even many Three Stars and Four Stars Apprentices had yet to reach that level.

To have Understanding Realm level of mastery at below twenty years old… Just thinking about it was terrifying.

Even Zhao Ritian had only reached Understanding Realm at twenty years old.

Could he actually be comparable to Zhao Ritian?!

However, while they were still in shock, they saw the Spiritual Refinement Ranking continuing to change…

Ninety-one, ninety, eighty-nine…

Qin Yichen’s ranking was rapidly rising. Only when it reached seventy did the upward trend finally slow down.

‘Spiritual Refinement Ranking Seventieth Place… One Star Apprentice, Qin Yichen! Spiritual Refinement Array Fourth Heaven Seventh Layer!’

Looking at the data on the Spiritual Refinement Ranking, everyone was too shocked to speak.

“That guy is truly a monster…” Bian Lingzhu murmured, her eyes flickering with uncertain thoughts.

The two Instructors were also somewhat dazed. They had not expected this youth, who looked so ordinary, would possess such strength.

“This matter must be quickly reported!”

The two exchanged glances, and just as they were about to report, they saw Elder Xiao Lin walking over.

“Elder Xiao Lin!” The two Instructors bowed respectfully.

Elder Xiao Lin nodded to them and fixed his gaze on the Spiritual Refinement Ranking.

“Fourth Heaven Seventh Layer, huh? Looks like his mastery of Spiritual Energy isn’t just at the Early Stage of the Understanding Realm…”

As an Elder, Elder Xiao Lin naturally could judge and analyse better than the Instructors.

“Just how did he do it?” Elder Xiao Lin also wondered to himself. This was simply too monstrous.

He remembered that when he was Qin Yichen’s age, he had barely just reached the Entry Realm.

Yet, Qin Yichen was not just excellent in Spiritual Energy, but also in Alchemy, medicine recognition… he was terrifyingly strong in various aspects.

Most people could not achieve such accomplishments even if they focused all their energy on one field, but Qin Yichen excelled in everything. He was truly a complete talent!

…

While things were in uproar outside, Qin Yichen in the Spiritual Refinement Array started to find walking a bit difficult.

After all, his Spiritual Energy cultivation was still too weak. If not for his superior mastery over Spiritual Energy, he would not have been able to reach this step.

*Whoosh!*

Taking the final step, he finally appeared in the Fourth Heaven Eighth Layer.

However, as soon as he entered, the surrounding pressure surged like a tide, compressing his Knowledge Sea and making his head throb with pain.

The surrounding Spiritual Energy Attacks felt like small knives cutting at his skull one by one, causing great pain.

*Siii…* Qin Yichen could not help but draw in a cold breath, his steps becoming somewhat unsteady as he felt dizzy.

“Come on. It’s only the Eighth Layer!” He had no intention of giving up. Instead, he fully activated his Spirit God Technique to resist the Spiritual Pressure and Spiritual Energy Attacks, walking forward with great difficulty.

Meanwhile, his ranking on the Spiritual Refinement Ranking rose from seventieth to sixty-fifth.

“Could he be trying to reach the Fourth Heaven Ninth Layer?”

“Back then, even Zhao Ritian could only reach the Fourth Heaven Ninth Layer…”

More and more people came to the front of the Spiritual Refinement Array, continuously exclaiming.

Back then, Zhao Ritian could reach that step because he was twenty years old, and moreover, he had the resources of the Millennial Zhao Family. He also had various Masters guiding him since childhood.

However, Qin Yichen was just a youth from a small dynasty, without any backing.
