Chapter 45, You Call This a Dragon?

Lu Fan could not help but get angry. [These are people from Extremistis Country? Do they all think and act like this?]

Lu Fan had no desire to chat with them further. He directly asked, “Since you won’t sit, just tell me why you’re looking for me.”

Cui Hongtai smiled, displaying an arrogant attitude. “We’ve come to give you an opportunity to make a name for yourself.”

“An opportunity to make a name for myself?” Lu Fan did not understand.

Jin Zhu still did not speak, but indicated with her eyes.

Cui Hongtai nodded and directly shared an image with Lu Fan.

Lu Fan opened the image and was slightly surprised.

In this image was clearly an Egg, a Dragon Egg!

Armoured Earth Dragon Egg: (Platinum Grade Special Item)
Description: Dragon Tamer Skill can be used on it to tame it. Upon successful use, obtain Pet Dragon – Armoured Earth Dragon (Infant Form)

Armoured Earth Dragon (Earth Dragon species, Infant Form)

Level: 1

Gender: Male

Strength: 72

Agility: 67

Mana: 35

Endurance: 133

Armoured Earth Dragon Skin (Passive, LV1) – Naturally hard skin of the Armoured Earth Dragon Race. Any Attribute Attack blocked by skin has its power reduced by 10%.

Giant Tail Sweep (Active Skill, LV1) – Swing its giant tail to launch an attack on enemies.

The Dragon in this Dragon Egg had high Attributes, especially its Endurance, which had broken into three digits range. It was an existence that was normally unattainable for ordinary humans.

The power of the Dragon Race could be seen from this.

However, having seen the vast ocean, Lu Fan was hardly impressed. After all, he had seen what Xiao Ye’s Attributes were at Level 1. Compared to Xiao Ye, this Armoured Earth Dragon was more like a Lizard than a Dragon. At best, it was just a Lizard with slightly thicker skin.

Not to mention Attributes, just Xiao Ye’s Skills alone were countless times stronger than this Armoured Earth Dragon.

This Armoured Earth Dragon only had the Armoured Earth Dragon Skin Passive, without any other Passives like Dragon Bloodline or Dragon Physique.

Even for the Dragon Skin Passive, Xiao Ye has a 50% Damage Reduction, while it only had 10%, the difference was evident.

As for Active Skills, this Giant Tail Sweep was certainly not as powerful as Dragon Jaw Strike. Furthermore, this Earth Dragon could not use Lava Blaze like Xiao Ye could.

When looking at its pitiful 35 Mana, Lu Fan guessed that this Earth Dragon might never learn any Magic Attack Skills in the future.

In essence, it was just a big Lizard with slightly higher Endurance. It was merely more resistant to attacks. Even in its best defensive Attributes still had a wide gap when compared to Xiao Ye.

This was not surprising, as the Grade of Dragon Xiao Ye was could not be compared to the Grade this Armoured Earth Dragon was.

If Lu Fan remembered correctly, Xiao Ye’s Dragon Egg was a Mythical Grade Special Item, while this Armoured Earth Dragon was only Platinum Grade. Lu Fan did not know much about the Dragon Race, but he had heard that Dragons could also be divided into rankings, like Giant Dragon and Demi-Dragon based on the purity of their Bloodline.

The one before him should be an Earth Dragon, which was even lower than a Demi-Dragon. If its Dragon Bloodline was any thinner, it probably could not even be called an Armoured Earth Dragon, but would be called an ‘Armoured Dragon Lizard’.

Lu Fan really could not bring himself to be impressed by this kind of Dragon.

“Well? Surprised?” Seeing that Lu Fan had not spoken for a long time, Jin Zhu thought he was so stunned by this image that he completely forgot to react.

She raised her slender eyebrows proudly and smiled, “You don’t have much experience, so it’s understandable to be shocked when seeing such a powerful Dragon. Let me tell you, this is a genuine Dragon, possibly the only Dragon in the world that can be controlled by us Humans.”

“This Dragon Egg was a reward our Jin family obtained from a Secret Realms called the Abandoned Earth Dragon Nest. It is unparalleled in the world. There is no other second Dragon Egg in this world! Even if it’s only an Earth Dragon with a trace of Dragon Bloodline, it’s still a genuine Dragon, an extremely powerful existence! I believe you can see just how powerful and how great its future potential is from its astonishing Attributes, right?”

Lu Fan looked at the proud Jin Zhu. She was talking as if this Dragon Egg was some extraordinary existence. He really did not have the heart to tell her his thoughts, [You call this thing a Dragon? Should I show you Xiao Ye’s Attributes instead?]

[It’s fine. one should be kind.] Lu Fan chose not to rain in her parade. He suppressed his urge to laugh and nodded, glossing it over with, “En, the Attributes are quite good.”

“…” The smile on Jin Zhu’s face became a bit stiff.

She could not understand how Lu Fan was so calm. [Could it be that this man is so fearless because of his ignorance? Does he not understand what a Dragon Egg represents? Hmm, very likely. Either he lacked experience and didn’t understand what this Dragon Egg represented, or he does not understand how incredible the Attributes of this Armoured Earth Dragon is.]

[Maybe he is just being reserved. Knowing that this Dragon Egg has nothing to do with him, he is trying to act indifferent.] Thinking it must be as such, Jin Zhu felt a bit more at ease.
