Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 21, Blood Zombie

Sun Ge strode forward and swung his greatsword in a wide arc.

His Bronze greatsword was evidently enchanted. The blade burst into flames, cleaving through three Decaying Zombies by the waist.

Instant kill!

Sun Ge was, after all, a High Level Swordsman, his strength alone overwhelmed the Decaying Zombies. Thus killing these Low Level Elite Monsters was like cutting vegetables to him.

The Knight also made his move, holding a shield in one hand and a spear in the other. He directly used the Knight Skill, Charge, knocking back the three Decaying Zombies in front of him.

However, he did not have Sun Ge’s High Attack. After pushing back the Decaying Zombies, he thrust his spear, wounding them but unable to instantly kill them.

At this moment, the Archers and Mages at the back also exerted their power. A series of arrows wrapped in air spirals flew out continuously, along with fireballs, all accurately bombarding the Decaying Zombies.

As Elite Monsters, the Decaying Zombies had decent Attributes, but how could they withstand the attacks from Profession Change Players of Higher Levels?

Besides the Damage Output from Sun Ge, the Mages, and Archers, Qin Qiu also took action.

Qin Qiu chanted a spell, waving her staff. Suddenly, fist-sized white fireballs appeared in mid-air, blanketing the area.

To Lu Fan’s surprise, these white fireballs didn’t distinguish between friend and foe, enveloping even Sun Ge and the Knight.

Strangely, while the white fireballs caused extreme damage to the Decaying Zombies when they hit, Sun Ge and the Knight seemed unaffected. They just continued to fiercely slash away.

Possibly noticing Lu Fan’s confusion, Qin Qiu explained while casting the next spell, “This is the characteristic of my Profession, which allows me to heal while dealing damage. My Skills can both damage the enemies and restore my allies. Of course, compared to real Mages, my damage is lower, and compared to Priests, my Healing is also somewhat lacking.”

“I see…” Lu Fan nodded.

It seemed that Qin Qiu’s Hidden Profession was a combination of Mage and Priest.

Although both her Damage Output and Healing were somewhat lacking in comparison, it excelled in balance.

In a team, having Qin Qiu alone could replace two people’s positions. Moreover, as her Level increased in the future and she gained more powerful Skills, in larger-scale battles with more people, one Skill from her could potentially turn the tide of battle!

Soon, the first wave of Monsters was easily taken down by the group.

Lu Fan checked the Scoreboard Panel, and sure enough, Sun Ge, the Highest Level Swordsman, had the greatest Damage Output, ranking first.

Although Qin Qiu’s damage was not as high as the other Mages and Archers, her Healing was equally as impressive. When combining the two, she firmly held the second place, just one-tenth behind Sun Ge’s value.

Next were the Mages and Archers in the team.

Lu Fan and Cai’er had been in the second row, tasked to protect the rear, so they did not have many opportunities to attack, hence their Damage Output was zero.

After clearing all the Decaying Zombies, Sun Ge casually pulled out a piece of leather from his Inventory, wiped the sticky, foul-smelling black blood from his greatsword, then warned everyone, “Everyone, stay alert. That wave of Monsters was just an appetiser. Next, we still have over a thousand Monsters to kill!”

Everyone understood this. Without the slightest slackening, they followed Sun Ge and the other Knight, continuing to advance towards Despair Village.

Lu Fan certainly did not want to keep slacking off. Although all eight of them entered the Secret Realms together, and he, even Xiao Ye in the Pet Sub-Space, could gain Experience Points when others killed Monsters, Lu Fan still wanted to increase his Damage Output to get the reward for clearing the Secret Realm.

So, Lu Fan quickened his pace, arriving at the first row, clearly intending to be the Main Tank.

Sun Ge glanced sideways at Lu Fan but did not say anything. He wanted to know how powerful Lu Fan’s Hidden Profession was, which allowed him to Level Up alone in the depths of the Mountain Stone Plains.

The group advanced another two hundred meters, and the outline of Despair Village became more visible.

It was a small village in ruins, with single-story buildings houses built of mud and stone. The interiors were pitch black, but one could clearly hear whimpers and roars, indicating countless Monsters inside.

Perhaps the Zombies sensed the group’s movements. With a series of chilling howls, several doors of the houses on the outskirts of the village being smashed open, Zombies poured out one after another, like a tide. Their numbers were several times more than before!

Lu Fan saw that among the Decaying Zombies, there was a considerable number of another type of Monster – Blood Zombies.
