Chapter 37, Why Are You Jealous of My Aunt?

To Lu Fan’s surprise, after he said this, Han Ke hugged him even tighter.

“You’re not dirty at all… I’m afraid I’m dreaming, if I let go, this dream will end, and you still won’t be back…” Han Ke’s seemed to be choking from her own tears, making Lu Fan feel immense distress.

Lu Fan had clearly seen how haggard she looked. It was clear that she had it tough these past few days, constantly worrying about him, almost falling ill.

He really should not have left without saying goodbye. It ended up causing her so much heartache.

Still, if he hadn’t gone to the Mountain Stone Plains, how would his fate have turned around?

Feeling both distressed and guilty, Lu Fan patted Han Ke’s back and softly said, “Alright, Auntie, don’t cry anymore. I’m really sorry. It was all my fault. I left for the Wilderness without telling you. Don’t worry, I won’t do that again.”

“En-hmm…” Han Ke responded, and in just this short moment, her tears had already soaked Lu Fan’s shoulder.

However, Han Ke soon felt something unusual about Lu Fan’s body. After sobbing a couple of times, she asked, “Fan’er, what’s that on your body? Why is something hard poking and moving against me…”

“Ah?!” Lu Fan was stunned, because this statement sounded quite strange no matter how he heard it.

Han Ke slightly loosened her hold on Lu Fan, looked down, and screamed. Frightened, she fell onto the ground.

Han Ke, with a pale face, pointed at Lu Fan’s chest and asked, “Fan’er, you… you have a Lizard on you!”

Lu Fan looked down and indeed, Xiao Ye had poked her head out from the collar of his shirt. It must have been because Han Ke hugged him too tightly earlier, which pressed against Xiao Ye.

Xiao Ye was obviously unhappy. She had already been curled up in Lu Fan’s clothes for so long, to then be pressed by Han Ke for such a long time. Now, she was even being called a ‘Lizard’ again. The anger in her heart made her directly crawl out of Lu Fan’s clothes and stand on Lu Fan’s shoulder.

“Ang!” A not-too-loud Dragon Roar sounded, and Xiao Ye spewed fist-sized flames from her mouth, seemingly threatening Han Ke.

Seeing such a small Dragon crawl out of Lu Fan’s clothes, Han Ke was completely dumbfounded, not knowing whether she should be surprised or scream in fear.

Lu Fan patted Xiao Ye’s head. He made her swallow the flames in her mouth. He seriously warned, “Xiao Ye, behave yourself. This is my Aunt, she’s the person closest to me!”

“Ang—yi—” Xiao Ye understood and indeed stopped showing off to Han Ke. Instead, she looked at Lu Fan as though the world had forsaken her, asking. ‘If she’s the person closest to you, then what about me?’

Lu Fan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. He questioned in his mind, [Wait. Why are you getting jealous of my Aunt?]

Regardless, Lu Fan’s admonishment was effective. Xiao Ye no longer showed any hostility towards Han Ke. Instead, she flapped her wings and curiously wandered around the first-floor of the shop. She would occasionally open the steamer baskets used for steaming Buns. She was checking to see if there might be any unexpected surprises.

Her behaviour was just like that of a mischievous child. Although she had the appearance of a Dragon, such a personality, coupled with her small size, made Han Ke no longer as afraid of her.

Han Ke still found it incredibly unbelievable. Pointing at Xiao Ye, who had just bitten a steamer basket to pieces and was immediately spitting out the wood chips with a *pui pui* sound, she asked in shock, “Fan’er, what… what is that thing? Where did you catch it from?”

Lu Fan smiled and explained, “Don’t be afraid, Auntie. This is a Dragon, it’s my Pet Dragon.”

“You know, I’m a Dragon Tamer, right? Without a Dragon, this Profession would be useless. But I was very lucky. In the Wilderness, I found a Dragon Egg and picked up this small Dragon. Now, I’ve awakened my Dragon Taming Skills. For the major exam, getting into the top Universities definitely won’t be a problem now!”

“This is your Pet Dragon!?” Han Ke was further taken aback.

She didn’t know much about Profession Change, but she knew what kind of existence the Dragon Race was. Even Demi-Dragons with only partial Dragon Bloodlines were extremely terrifying existences. How could Lu Fan possibly pick up a Dragon just by going out!?

Still, with the facts right in front of her, Han Ke had no choice but to believe it.

She looked at Xiao Ye again. At this moment, the little Dragon had started a life-and-death struggle with a cleaning cloth, quickly tearing it to shreds.

[Hmm… such a small cute little creature, perhaps it only had a trace of Dragon Bloodline. After all, the Dragons are world-destroying existences. Such a small thing can’t possibly be a Pure Blood Giant Dragon.

In any case, it was a good thing that Lu Fan could rely on a Pet to unlock his Profession Skills, and have a chance at the major exam. It was worth celebrating.

Little did Han Ke know that this mischievous creature in front of her was not only a Pure Blood Giant Dragon, but it was also one of the most powerful breeds among Giant Dragons – the Black Dragon King.

If Xiao Ye knew that Han Ke only thought of her as a Lizard with a trace of Dragon Bloodline, she would probably be furious.
