World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

After picking up the skill scroll, Evan looked around the bear’s body once more to see if there was anything else. However, to his disappointment, he didn’t find anything else.

Since he couldn’t find anything useful, Evan searched for the mana core inside the beast’s body, and to his surprise, he found one.

When he took out the mana core, Evan saw that it was much larger than the unranked mana cores he had found before.

’Well, it was bound to be bigger than those cores. After all, it’s a Rank One mana core.’

Evan put the mana core inside his Storage Ring.

After he was done, Evan quickly left the area. He had come quite deep into the Dark Forest while chasing the bear, and he had also caused a huge commotion by using the Fire Tornado.

With such a huge commotion, he was sure that some magical beasts would soon come to the location of their battle.

Evan ran toward the exit of the Dark Forest. While running, he took out a healing potion and drank it to heal his broken ribs.

After running for around an hour, Evan finally came near the entrance of the Dark Forest. This time, he didn’t climb the tree and simply left the Dark Forest.

After coming out of the Dark Forest, he sat down under the shade of a tree and finally opened his Status Window.

[According to your evolution journey, you can choose a Job Class from the following options:

1) Magic Swordsman

2) Mage

3) Martial Warrior

4) Ruler of the Wind

5) Elemental Apprentice (CAN EVOLVE)]

When Evan saw his Status Window, he wasn’t surprised by the Stat Points he had received after killing the Silver Bear.

After all, he had been only at Level 20 at that time, yet he had managed to kill a powerful Rank One magical beast.

Evan looked at the other notifications, and when he saw the options for his Job Class, he was surprised to see that there were five options for him to choose from.

Usually, people only received two options, while only a very small number of people received three.

Yet he had five options to choose from.

He looked at every option carefully and seriously thought about which one he should choose.

’The Magic Swordsman Class probably appeared because I occasionally use Black Star together with my mana. I also like using it because I can save my mana by fighting with my sword instead of constantly using my skills. If I choose this Job Class, my swordsmanship will increase greatly...’

His eyes lingered on Magic Swordsman for a moment before he looked at the next option.

’Mages are too heavily dependent on their mana to cast spells. If I choose this Job Class, I’ll probably be able to use my mana more efficiently, but I don’t want to rely solely on casting spells to fight.’

Evan looked at the next option and found that it was almost the complete opposite of a Mage.

’Martial Warriors depend on their physical strength, martial skills, and martial arts. I probably got this Job Class because my Strength stat is so high.’

Evan thought about it for a moment before dismissing the option as well.

’If I choose this class, I’ll truly be letting down my high amount of mana and Magic stat.’

When Evan looked at the fourth option, a smile appeared on his face.

’Ruler of the Wind, huh? I’m sure that if I choose this Job Class, I’ll be able to use my Wind Monarch skill to its full potential. It will surely give me a huge boost in power, and I’ll be able to use Wind Monarch in ways I never even thought of.’

However, Evan’s expression soon became thoughtful.

’But then... what is this feeling I’m getting from this last option?’

Evan looked toward the fifth option.

He didn’t even know what this Job Class meant or why it had appeared among his Job Class options.

He knew why he had received the other options, but he couldn’t understand why this fifth option had appeared.

”And what does this side note mean?”

Evan looked at the note beside the Job Class in his Status Window.

’Can Evolve... What does that mean?’

Evan became more and more confused as he thought about it.

He thought for a long time and finally decided to choose Ruler of the Wind.

However, just as he was about to make his choice, a strange feeling suddenly surged in his heart, as if he would regret it if he didn’t choose Elemental Apprentice.

He paused and took a deep breath.

’Should I ask Grandpa and Grandma?’

Evan thought about it for a moment before shaking his head.

’No. This is my evolution. I have to make this decision on my own. I can’t always ask them about everything.’

He stared at the options on his Status Window for a long time before finally making up his mind.

’I don’t know if I’m making the right choice or not, but my heart is telling me that I should go with this option.’

With that thought, Evan chose his Job Class.

The moment he made his choice, a new notification appeared before him.

[You chose to become an Elemental Apprentice. From now on, you will not get any options to change your Job Class during your future evolutions. You can only evolve the Elemental Apprentice Class into its next level during your evolution.]

[As this Class evolves toward its final form, you will be able to wield power that is impossible for normal Evolvers to come into contact with. However, to obtain such power, you have to start from the basics.]

[To begin your journey toward obtaining a Job Class that will evolve alongside you, you must first prove that you are worthy of this power.]

[To become an Elemental Apprentice, you must meet the following requirements:]

Evan read the requirements he needed to complete to obtain his Class and rubbed his eyes.

’I must be seeing things. There is no way this can be true.’

After rubbing his eyes, Evan looked at the requirements again.

But there was still no change. Everything remained exactly the same.

Seeing this, Evan started to laugh.

”Hahaha...”

His laughter continued for a long time before he finally looked at the Status Window with a pale face.

”I am dead.”
