World Evolution: Starting With The Wind Monarch

”Hold on tight, and keep your eyes closed, or you might faint,” Evan warned Lia after they left the city.

Before Lia could even understand what he meant, he suddenly picked her up in a princess carry.

Lia was startled by his sudden action, but before she could say anything, a green barrier appeared around her body.

Bang!

She heard a loud bang, and her surroundings suddenly turned into a blur.

Looking at the rapidly changing scenery, Lia felt her head spin, so she quickly closed her eyes.

Evan glanced at her and chuckled before pushing his Wind Aura to its limit and running at full speed.

Thanks to his enhanced physical abilities and Wind Aura, it took him less than half an hour to reach his home.

Evan stopped in front of the house and gently put Lia down.

The moment her feet touched the ground, Lia immediately sat down, feeling dizzy.

Seeing her pale face and dizzy expression, Evan couldn’t help but laugh.

”I told you to keep your eyes closed, but you just had to open them again and again to look around.”

Lia pouted when she saw him laughing at her, but she couldn’t say anything because her head was still spinning.

Shaking his head, Evan helped her stand up.

Once she recovered from her dizziness, he led her toward the front door and knocked.

After waiting for a while, they heard footsteps approaching from inside, and Alfred opened the door.

Seeing Evan, a look of surprise appeared on his face. However, the moment he noticed the little girl standing beside him, his surprise immediately turned into shock and he pointed at Evan with trembling fingers.

”Good, good, good! You really are my grandson. Even I have never kidnapped a kid, but you just went out for the first time and immediately kidnapped one. You are worthy of inheriting my Imaginary Villain Organization!”

Lia’s face instantly turned pale when she heard Alfred’s words, and she took a step back with tears gathering in her eyes.

She had already been kidnapped once, and now hearing that Evan was also a kidnapper made her blood run cold.

Hearing Alfred’s words, Evan’s expression immediately darkened.

”Old man, if you don’t stop your nonsense, believe it or not, I will tell Grandma about your hidden collection!”

The moment Alfred heard the words hidden collection, his face instantly changed color.

He hurriedly covered Evan’s mouth and looked behind him to make sure Venisa hadn’t heard anything.

Only after confirming that she wasn’t there did he sigh in relief.

”My dear grandson, there is no need to get so serious. I was just joking with you.”

Evan looked at his grandfather’s panicked expression and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

So, he simply pointed toward Lia.

Alfred followed his finger and saw the little girl standing there with tears in her eyes.

Seeing her crying, he immediately realized that his joke might have come at the worst possible time, and an awkward expression appeared on his face.

Evan shook his head and walked toward Lia, gently patting her head.

”Don’t worry. He’s my grandfather. You don’t have to pay attention to anything he says.”

Evan sighed before continuing.

”He fell onto his head when he was one year old, so his mental condition isn’t quite right. Just ignore whatever he says, okay?”

”Really?” Lia asked, still feeling doubtful.

”Yes. His mental condition isn’t good, so don’t mind him.”

Hearing Evan, Lia’s expression slowly relaxed, and she looked at Alfred with pity in her eyes.

Alfred froze when he heard what Evan was saying and he genuinely wanted to give his grandson a good beating, but seeing Lia calm down, he somehow managed to suppress his urge.

However, the moment he noticed the pity in her eyes, his mind went blank.

’I am the leader and sole member of the Imaginary Villain Organization! How can a kid who isn’t even ten years old look at me with pity?!’

He gritted his teeth and glared at Evan.

’All of this is because of this ungrateful grandson of mine. If I don’t teach him a lesson, how can I ever call myself a proper villain?’

Alfred’s eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at Evan.

Suddenly, Evan felt as if he had been marked by a predator.

The hair on his body stood on end, and he instinctively looked around.

However, he didn’t find anything amiss.

The only thing he saw was Alfred looking at him with a smile.

It was a completely harmless smile, the kind that could probably calm down even a crying baby.

But for some reason, that smile sent a chill down Evan’s spine, and one thought immediately appeared in his mind.

’He is definitely up to something.’

Just as Evan was thinking this, Alfred spoke.

”I see you’ve become quite powerful, Evan. How about we spar a little? I want to see just how great my grandson has become.”

In fact, Alfred and Venisa were already aware of how strong Evan was.

When he had left for the Dark Forest, both of them had secretly followed him.

They had seen him fight a tough battle against the Forest Tiger to obtain his first skill and had even watched him run away when the Rank One Bear suddenly appeared.

Although they had already expected him to be strong after learning about his enormous mana reserves and magic, both of them were still dumbfounded by his growth over the past few days.

They had only returned home after he successfully killed the group of Shadow Wolves as tt that point, they felt that he was strong enough to survive in the outer area of the Dark Forest on his own.

Evan’s mouth twitched when Alfred asked for a spar.

”Sure. Let’s spar tomorrow. I’m not in my best condition today. Since you want to see my greatness, I’ll show it to you tomorrow.”

Evan maintained a calm expression as he spoke.

But inwardly, he was already thinking about escaping.

While they were talking, Venisa also came down from the second floor.

”You came back early.”

She walked over to Evan and carefully checked his condition to see if he was injured.

Evan smiled when he saw this and hugged his grandmother.

”Something happened, so I decided to come back before leaving again.”

”What happened?” Venisa asked curiously before noticing Lia standing nearby.

”Let’s talk inside,” Evan said and they all went into the living room.

Evan told them everything that had happened in the Dark Forest, including how they had encountered the slave traders and how he had decided to take Lia with him to Sky Pearl City.

After hearing everything, Venisa looked at Lia and spoke gently.

”Little Lia, you can stay here without any problem. In fact, it will be good for us as well. The house has been very empty since Evan left for training, so having you stay with us will keep us company.”

”Thank you,” Lia quickly replied, looking somewhat nervous.

She was currently sitting beside Evan and holding onto his sleeve.

”Did you give those kidnappers a good beating?” Alfred suddenly asked.

”Of course.” Evan grinned.

”After I was done with them, even their mother wouldn’t have been able to recognize them because I changed their faces with my punches.”

”Good.” Alfred nodded with satisfaction.

He then began asking Evan for more details.

Evan didn’t hide anything and told him everything he had done, including how he had threatened Mike using a wind bullet by aiming at that area.

Alfred’s eyes immediately lit up, and he burst into laughter.

Lia, who was sitting beside Evan, slowly backed away from him.

The more she listened to Evan and Alfred’s conversation, the more she felt that something was wrong.

She looked toward Venisa, who was staring at Evan and Alfred with an expressionless face, and moved closer to her because she felt that Venisa was the only normal person in the house.

Venisa sighed when she saw this and took Lia’s hand.

”Let’s go to the other room before we get infected by their villain virus.”

Lia didn’t understand what a villain virus was, but she still followed her.

Meanwhile, Alfred was still laughing as he patted Evan on the shoulder.

”Good! You didn’t disappoint me.” He paused before his smile widened.

”I can’t wait to see how strong you’ve become when we spar tomorrow.”

The smile on Evan’s face stiffened and he nodded weakly.

’I need to find a way to escape before tomorrow.’
