Chapter 1564: Chapter 538: Crisis and Search (3)

And at the entrance of Rein Mansion, it’s bustling with traffic every day, like a marketplace.

The beautiful lady Jennifer used to be troubled by not finding a business partner in the Imperial City, but now she’s torn over which partner to choose.

It’s not just that there are so many partners to choose from, but each one is more influential than the last. Just among the trade associations with Duke family backgrounds, there are more than ten, while those at Marquis level exceed thirty, and as for Earl level, they are countless...

Whether it was the beautiful lady Jennifer or Cleya, who had seen much of the world while studying at the Royal Academy, both were astonished by the influence brought by Rein’s victory.

Only the barbarian girl Lagaray found it normal since, in the tradition of the Barbarian Tribe, the strong own everything.

And Rein’s mother Emma couldn’t stop smiling, her previous illness cured, because every day many noble ladies and young misses would take the ’Madam route’ to visit her, offering warmth and greetings with genuine enthusiasm.

However, not everyone enjoys the hustle and bustle. For Bo He, it was a bit of a nuisance.

Whenever she wants to play a little in the yard, the enthusiastic noblewomen would praise her, pull her in by the hand, and engage in lively conversation, requiring her to sit properly, smile, and nod as she recently learned the noble etiquette.

Back in the study, Rein said to Matteo beside him:

”Matteo, decline all visits except for familiar faces.”

On one hand, he plans to think carefully about finding the secret enclave of the Dragon Scale Brotherhood. On the other hand, he doesn’t want to waste time expanding noble connections.

At his level, unless it’s an Imperial Guardian of similar strength, this kind of formal courtesy is meaningless.

Because he himself is the ’network’ one seeks, not the other way around.

”As you command, Lord Rein,” said the petite Matteo, bowing.

But soon after, there came a knock at the door.

Hmm? Rein frowned, hadn’t he just instructed Matteo...

”Lord Rein, it’s Viscount Hamadi,” came Matteo’s voice from the door.

Hamadi?

Suddenly, a spirit light flashed in Rein’s mind!

Yes, that matter might be tricky for all official departments of the Empire, but for the Federation, it’s different.

”Invite him to the study.”

”As you command, my lord.”

...

Soon, Hamadi’s familiar figure appeared at the door of the study.

”Lord Rein, congratulations on defeating the Crown of Pantoscoke,” Hamadi bowed deeply to Rein and said.

Hamadi’s understanding of Rein definitely exceeds that of most Imperial Nobles. Especially in matters related to the Federation, he’s already informed from specialized channels, so upon meeting Rein again, his mindset drastically changed, and he lowered his posture considerably.

”Thank you, Lord Hamadi. You’re too kind,” Rein smiled slightly, gesturing for him to take a seat.

After some pleasantries, Hamadi stated his purpose, firstly extending congratulations from the Federation, and secondly conveying an invitation from Haleem, the head of the Federation Mechanical Research Institute.

Rein took it and found the content was mainly Haleem hoping Rein could visit the Federation once more to collaborate and exchange on ancient goblin mechanical creations.

”Please thank Lord Haleem for his invitation. However, I fear I cannot spare the time currently. Perhaps after some time, I will go. I also look forward to discussing insights into mechanical manufacturing with Lord Haleem.”

”Alright, Lord Rein, I will certainly convey your message.”

”Additionally, is there anything you need us to do recently? Please rest assured, even if our capabilities are limited, we will pass it up the chain.”

Hamadi’s question was just a casual query, with no real expectations.

He understood well that Rein now was different from before, with rapid development in strength and greatly expanded networking—what could possibly trouble them?

Even Hamadi couldn’t think of anything.

Just as Hamadi was standing up to leave, Rein smiled slightly and said:

”Lord Hamadi, there is indeed something that might require your assistance.”

”Hmm? Please, instruct us,” Hamadi was first slightly taken aback, then his eyes lit up with excitement.

”I would like to ask you to investigate a secret enclave belonging to an organization called the Dragon Scale Brotherhood. It should be located within a Small Secret Realm. I don’t need you to enter, just help me determine the approximate area.”

Rein carefully considered his words.

”Rest assured, Lord Rein, this matter will be entrusted to us,” Hamadi was genuinely pleased!

”If the target is in the Imperial City, within three days, we should be able to provide you with confirmation. But... you truly don’t need us to handle it directly?” Hamadi gazed at Rein eagerly.

Although he didn’t yet know what specifically it was, he believed even if they couldn’t resolve it, the Federation surely could.

The esteemed Lord Rein is asking for the first time, so Hamadi must make sure the matter is handled beautifully.
