Chapter 3195: Chapter 3196: The Dragon with a Pearl Earring

”Is this... a human earring?” Kukurus recognized the item in Luigi’s hand, which puzzled it. Was that great being planning to popularize earrings? Or, human ornaments?

But human earrings can be bought in the Mirror Domain too.

In places like the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, the Everstanding King City, and the territories of various humanoid races, there are similar ornaments. Do these things really need promotion?

Luigi: ”This is just in the shape of an earring, its core has nothing to do with its appearance. If you don’t believe it, you can try it on.”

After Luigi finished speaking, he was about to hand the earring to Kukurus.

Kukurus: ”...”

”You want me to wear it? Are you serious?” Kukurus didn’t accept it and instead stared at Luigi with a peculiar look.

Luigi nodded: ”Of course, I’m serious.”

Kukurus pointed at his own head with his sturdy claw: ”Take a closer look... do I have ears?”

The Cave Dragon’s head has scales, fin wings, and horns, but no ears.

To be accurate, there are no visible ears.

The Cave Dragon’s ears are ”hidden ears,” located beneath the scales.

What Kukurus meant was, ”I don’t have external ear lobes to hang earrings from.”

Luigi said seriously: ”I understand, I understand, the Cave Dragon’s ears are under the scales, you can still wear it the same.”

Kukurus frowned: ”But aren’t earrings ornamental? What’s the point of wearing them under the scales?”

Luigi: ”I’ve already said, what’s important is the core of the item, not its external appearance. Understand? Even if you hang it from your nostril, it would still be useful.”

Luigi, as he spoke, forcibly shoved the earring into Kukurus’s hand, indicating for it to try.

Upon taking the earring, Kukurus scrutinized it for a while, with a somewhat disdainful look in its eyes.

The material of this earring is too poor, very low-level extraordinary material, the design doesn’t fit Kukurus’s aesthetic at all, it’s just a silver short chain with a decorative red pearl.

Kukurus prefers something more luxurious and delicate, but this one not only used poor material, its appearance is simple, and it doesn’t strike any chords with its inner aesthetic.

However, Kukurus could also sense a strange energy attached to this string of red pearl earrings.

According to Luigi, the shape is not important; the core is what matters.

Undoubtedly, this strange energy represents the core of the earring.

Unfortunately, the energy is attached too shallowly, and the material is too poor, Kukurus didn’t dare to delve deeper, for fear of accidentally breaking the earring.

Therefore, even though Kukurus sensed this energy, it still didn’t understand its use.

”Once you wear it, you can activate it.” Luigi introduced from the side: ”There are two ways of activation, manual activation, you just need to pinch the pearl; but I don’t recommend you do this, it’s easy to damage the pearl.”

Luigi glanced at Kukurus’s sharp and strong claw, then continued: ”The second way is to wrap any energy around the pearl, which can also activate it.”

While explaining, Luigi urged Kukurus to put on the earring.

Kukurus hesitated for a moment, then blew air to lift the scales covering the hidden ear and clipped the earring on the inner earlobe.

The scales haven’t closed yet, it’s clear to see, the red pearl falling on one side of its head, distinctly vibrant.

If Kukurus were a female dragon, it might have been enamored with it, but it was a male dragon, feeling nothing about the earring. Once the scales moved, the red pearl visible outside was now inside the scales.

From the outside, it looked no different.

On the other side, Luigi saw this and nodded with satisfaction.

He chose this women’s earring not to make a joke, but sincerely to pick the most suitable one for Kukurus.

In his opinion, any externally visible log-in device isn’t very suitable for Kukurus, and once Kukurus returned to its original form, those devices hanging outside its skin might fall off without it even noticing.

But with earrings, it’s different. Cave Dragons have hidden ears, covered by scales outside, the earrings definitely won’t fall off.

Moreover, once the earrings are worn, you can log in whenever you want without taking them off, quite convenient.

Considering these two factors, he chose the earring.

”Should I activate it now? Don’t you need to explain its effect to me?” Kukurus looked at Luigi in confusion.

Luigi: ”Its effect is to make you fall asleep and enter another... New World.”

”Fall asleep? New World?” Kukurus was dumbfounded for a moment as if realizing something: ”Dream Realm?”

Luigi just smiled without speaking.

Ha, Dream Realm? It’s not as simple as you think.

Without an answer, Kukurus continued to say: ”I remember my father telling me that the Dream Realm distanced itself from the Mirror Domain a long time ago...”

As a result, creatures in the Mirror Domain never dream.

But now, Luigi claims that once you fall asleep, you can go to a New World. This made Kukurus a little puzzled. According to his description, isn’t this just going to the Dream Realm?

However, even if they went to the Dream Realm, it seems to have no value?

The sleep dream only reaches the outermost layer of the Dream Realm, belonging to the self-dream. Aside from creatures skilled in entering dreams, others can’t enter the self-dream.

So how could sleep dreams possibly allow him to meet Baba Ragon?

Even assuming the sleep dream could directly reach the Dream Realm, it held no value. The Dream Realm has no path mark, it’s infinitely wide, infinitely layered, even if Baba Ragon and Kukurus entered the Dream Realm at the same time, they’d never meet.

Therefore, the more Kukurus thought about it, the more confused it became.

Is this earring really the promotion of that great being? Or is Luigi just messing with it?

”Don’t be suspicious, you’ll see once you enter.” As Luigi said this, he suddenly thought of something: ”Oh, when you go in, don’t imagine your consciousness to be so huge, otherwise it will be difficult to shrink it later.”

The body in the Crystal Origin of Dreams is a projection of consciousness. Ordinary people find it challenging to control the form of their consciousness, but Kukurus can.

”It’s for your own good. When you ’run into’ Baba Ragon in the New World, do you think Baba Ragon wants to see your colossal true body size, or the shrunken size?”

Shrinking consciousness? Body size? Kukurus didn’t understand Luigi’s words yet, but it didn’t ask, practice would reveal the answer.

Thinking of this, Kukurus planned to activate the earrings as Luigi had instructed.

But just then, Luigi stopped him: ”Wait, I suddenly remembered something else!”

Kukurus: ”???”

”Going in alone doesn’t seem very interesting, it’s hard to grasp the wonders of the New World. As for me, I could go in too, but I’m currently in the midst of conquering an instance, so I can’t join you,” Luigi said, speaking to himself without further explanation. ”So, to help you see the greatness of the New World, find another dragon you’re close to, or any living being will do, and go in together.”

As he spoke, Luigi took out another Log-in Device from the space.

This time, the Log-in Device was also a Red Pearl Earring.

Kukurus had a head full of question marks, completely not understanding what Luigi was saying, but he thought about it and still sent a message.

Not long after, in the misty cave, a ”person” floated in.

However, it was not a human, but a doll.

A white doll maiden, wearing a black princess dress, her body and face were stiff, only her joints could move. The only thing that could show the doll was ”alive” were her bright silver eyes, lively and spirited.

”She is...” Luigi looked at the doll with some confusion, unable to discern what race the doll belonged to, just feeling that her eyes looked familiar.

While Luigi was puzzled about her identity, the doll maiden floated to Kukurus’s side, raised her stiff arms, and gently hugged Kukurus.

Luigi looked at the doll maiden, then at Kukurus.

Suddenly realizing that her eyes, from the color of the pupils to the shape of the irises, were almost identical to Kukurus’s.

”She’s called Luskania, in human terms, she counts as my sister.” Kukurus stroked Luskania’s hair softly and said gently.

”Sister?” Luigi was stunned for a moment: ”I think I heard Baba Ragon mention it...”

”Baba Ragon?” Luskania suddenly turned her head, looking at Luigi with surprise.

Her voice, like her body, was very stiff, but her tone couldn’t hide the joy.

”You know Baba Ragon?” Luskania floated before Luigi, tilting her head, and softly asked: ”Is Baba Ragon doing well now? I haven’t seen him in a long time.”

When Luskania said this, her voice was slightly tinged with sadness.

Luigi did not hesitate, he said directly: ”He’s doing quite well in Pipi Castle.”

”Pipi Castle?” Luskania exclaimed: ”Baba Ragon went to Pipi Castle? I’d really love to go see!”

Luskania’s words revealed that she seemed unaware of Baba Ragon’s whereabouts.

Luigi looked at Kukurus with some confusion.

Kukurus was silent for a moment before speaking: ”Previously, Luskania had been asleep, not knowing the news of the outside world. She woke up half a year ago and has been adapting to her new body in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom...”

At this point, Kukurus stopped talking, seemingly unwilling to say more.

However, on the other side, Luigi caught two keywords from his words: sleep, new body.

Luigi realized that Kukurus was reluctant to talk further, so he did not ask more, though he made some guesses in his heart—

Baba Ragon once counted the ”Mirror Dragon” that bullied him and mentioned Kukurus; when talking about Kukurus, at that time Baba Ragon also said: ”Kukurus also has a sister, she never bullied me, but she rarely appears and is said to be very frail.”

Now, with Kukurus explicitly saying that Luskania is his sister, she should be the weak Cave Dragon mentioned by Baba Ragon.

But now Luskania appears in the form of a doll, and Kukurus mentioned that Luskania had been asleep for years and now has a ”new body.” Does this mean that Luskania’s original body had issues, forcing her to exist only in the form of a doll?

While Luigi pondered, Kukurus softly asked: ”Can Luskania go to this New World you mentioned?”

”What New World?” Luskania looked at Kukurus in confusion.

Kukurus didn’t explain but directly condensed the previous conversation with Luigi into a memory seed and injected it into Luskania’s brow.

Almost instantly, Luskania understood the situation.

However, while she knew of this so-called ”New World,” she, like Kukurus, didn’t understand what the New World represented.

Luigi nodded: ”She can.”

Nowadays, even though Luskania doesn’t have a true body, as long as her consciousness is present, she can be drawn into the Crystal Origin of Dreams. Luigi was very sure of this, as most of the people at Charles Palace were consciousness entities.

”However, you still need to be careful when entering, control your consciousness, don’t make your true body that large.” Even though Luskania is now in the doll state, she subconsciously recognizes her body as the original true form.

And a Cave Dragon’s true body, even if weak... is still enormously large.

If she enters the Crystal Origin of Dreams with that consciousness, she might revert to her original massive size, so it’s best to have some control.

Luskania said in confusion: ”I think I understand... but I don’t really.”

”No need to fully understand, you’ll know once you get there.” Luigi smiled and handed the earring to Luskania.

Luskania happily received the earring and successfully placed it on her white earlobe. After wearing it, Luskania spun around in front of Kukurus, seemingly showing off her new accessory.

”Once you’re ready, go ahead and activate them.” said Luigi, ”Soon, you’ll be able to meet in the New World. The current New World is a bit barren, but please refrain from defining it too early.”

”After entering, there will be a girl wearing a bunny hat who will get in touch with you. You can ask her any questions you have.”

Luskania nodded: ”Okay, once we enter, can we meet Baba Ragon?”

Luigi shook his head, ”I can’t confirm that, but if you visit often, there’s a good chance of running into Baba Ragon.”

Luigi was speaking earnestly, but in his mind, he was thinking of something else: Luskania seems to care quite a bit about Baba Ragon?

Luigi could sense that when Baba Ragon talked about Kukurus’s sister initially, there was no extra emotion involved, almost like discussing a stranger.

Moreover, from Baba Ragon’s tone, indeed, he hadn’t interacted much with Luskania.

Yet, this Luskania in front of him, from the moment she heard Baba Ragon’s name, seemed very concerned.

It was a bit odd.

Could there be a subtle relationship involved?

While Luigi pondered, Luskania, along with Kukurus, activated the Log-in Device, becoming the first guests to attend this gathering, entering the boundless Crystal Origin...
