Chapter 3175: Chapter 3176: Visitors from Another World

Luigi cursed all the way, criticizing the Changhuo Clan thoroughly.

”War maniacs,” ”crazy black rods,” ”rumor masters,” ”dark forces”... various labels were placed on the Changhuo Clan’s head, but his accusations were not totally unfounded, as Luigi always managed to provide examples to prove his point.

After giving instances where the Changhuo Clan was evidently involved, Luigi mentioned a few rampant rumors that were yet to be verified.

For example, the division between the Tooth Fairy and the Ancient Tooth Fairy.

Everyone knows that the internal division of the Tooth Fairy is associated with two significant events: the spread of the empty-hearted Tooth Fairies and the Queen’s ascension.

Although there is a clear timeline, and the events themselves are obvious, the explanations behind these two events have some illogical aspects.

”I have interacted with many Tooth Fairies, and they are actually quite simple and kind-hearted; they don’t care much about ’gain and loss.’ But since the proliferation of the empty-hearted Tooth Fairies began, anti-intellectual voices within the Tooth Fairy increased, filled with resentment towards scholars of the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, thinking they enjoy tilted resources without any returns... Even though what they said is factual, those ’voice-makers’ from the Tooth Fairy also haven’t contributed anything to the clan, yet they too receive tilted resources.”

”Initially, this hateful voice was just a small spark within the Tooth Fairy, but after the Tooth Fairy Queen ascended to power, the spark suddenly spread like wildfire. Similar sounds spread everywhere within the Tooth Fairy, and eventually, the Tooth Fairy Queen severed the resource support to the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy.”

”Thus, the Tooth Fairy and the Ancient Tooth Fairy split.”

Luigi looked at Angel at this point: ”Did you catch it? What really caused the division were those suddenly amplified anti-intellectual voices. Are those ’voices’ truly from the Tooth Fairy itself?”

Luigi spread his hands and shrugged, stopping what he was saying.

But his meaning was clear.

He suspected those anti-intellectual voices were actually orchestrated by the Changhuo Clan.

However, this suspicion lacked any evidential support.

”Haven’t the Tooth Fairy and Ancient Tooth Fairy considered that their division might be influenced by the Changhuo Clan?” Angel asked, as Luigi’s narrative was from a macro perspective but did not address the involved parties.

Luigi: ”This is the cleverness of the Changhuo Clan; they thoroughly isolated the Tooth Fairy and Ancient Tooth Fairy. Whenever either party mentions the other, it’s with disdain or glaring disgust, completely swayed by emotion without questioning whether there’s something fishy behind the division.”

”And those Tooth Fairies willing to contemplate this possibility are isolated by the group naturally. Gradually, they become more estranged; even if they have doubts internally, they are sure to look down on each other outwardly.”

Angel nodded, understanding that this was the so-called ironclad thought or tide of correct thought. Once you go against the tide, you become a target for criticism.

If this was indeed orchestrated by the Changhuo Clan, their scheme was really sophisticated.

But it was not flawless.

In the transcendent, concealed world, shattering such a hardened thought requires generations of struggle; but in the extraordinary world, wouldn’t a single prophecy solve it?

Whether or not the Changhuo Clan was involved can completely be tested through prophecy.

Angel expressed his opinion, and Luigi sighed, staying silent. At this moment, Laplace beside them spoke softly: ”If prophecy was effective, he wouldn’t have been puzzled with guesses.”

Angel was confused: ”Prophecy is ineffective?”

Laplace shook her head: ”Not ineffective, all related prophecies show... no intervention.”

Therefore, after talking for most of the day, Luigi raised numerous doubts but concluded with mere speculation, lacking any substantive evidence.

Luigi: ”Prophecy isn’t entirely trustworthy; if prophecy were that useful, the rumors of ’Void Mirror Demon’ wouldn’t have spread so fervently. Prophecy can be blocked, just like how anyone trying to prophesize about us now would be hindered by the barrier you’ve manifested.”

The barrier released by Laplace not only obscures sight but also blocks both inside and out, with a certain prophecy-blocking capability.

And the rumors of the ’Void Mirror Demon’ spread so fervently precisely because the Sea of Void Mirror inherently possesses prophecy-blocking effects. Virtually all prophecies related to the Sea of Void Mirror remain ineffective.

To sum it up in one sentence: Prophecy is not universal.

Angel pondered, looking towards the alien-eyed girl walking in front: ”Does Laplace think the division of the Tooth Fairy has nothing to do with the Changhuo Clan?”

As Luigi inherently carried a stance, expressing more emotion, what about Laplace? Didn’t she just straightforwardly refute the uselessness of prophecy, implying that the Changhuo Clan was unrelated?

Angel was very curious about Laplace’s thoughts.

Laplace paused for a moment before replying softly: ”No, I don’t believe the Changhuo Clan is entirely innocent either.”

”...Ah?” Angel originally thought Laplace would take an opposing stance, unexpected was her remark that on one hand refuted Luigi, yet now seemingly stands side by side with him?

Laplace: ”A clan daring to stir up trouble everywhere, inciting chaos all around, is it possible without anti-prophecy capabilities?”

Angel thought it over carefully; indeed, with a name containing ”puzzle,” a born inciting clan, how they dare to spread agitation indiscriminately without some concealed tactics?

”However, the Changhuo Clan isn’t stupid; some issues they willingly openly provoke, while others, even if involved, they wouldn’t dare to reveal.”

”If their involvement with the division of the Tooth Fairy is real, they absolutely wouldn’t dare expose it.”

Whether it’s the Tooth Fairy Paradise or Ancient Tooth Fairy, their powers are considerable. Especially the Ancient Tooth Fairy, holding almost the entire economic lifeline of the Daylight Mirror Domain.

Like this gathering, it’s indeed supported by Pirush and hosted by the Crystal Eye Clan, yet this gathering was made possible by the Ancient Tooth Fairy.

Without a race like the Ancient Tooth Fairy, reputedly reliable and defensibly capable, no one would believe the gathering could be successfully hosted.

After all, throughout the gathering various races differ not only in appearance but in civilization, habits, and even survival modes. The human saying that ”alien clans aren’t trustworthy” applies here.

With differing outlooks, how to co-exist?

At other times, the Mirror Domain races wouldn’t trust each other, only during routine gatherings where top-tier races guarantee backing, they become slightly reserved.

So, if the Changhuo Clan indeed ignited the Tooth Fairy internal division, they absolutely wouldn’t dare publicize the matter. They couldn’t bear the counterattack from the Ancient Tooth Fairy.

Thinking from this perspective, the Changhuo Clan must possess anti-prophecy capabilities.

They aren’t necessarily innocent.

But relying solely on this to convict isn’t possible either. Therefore, although Laplace mildly stands with Luigi, she didn’t make a definitive statement.

In conclusion, knowing that there’s something suspicious about the matter suffices.

However, for Angel, the ultimate outcome of this matter isn’t of concern; as an outsider, he just listens for merriment.

...

On the road ahead, they encountered many peculiar alien clans from the side paths.

As long as Luigi had seen the alien clan before, he would casually lecture Angel about them.

However, there were also alien clans within whom Luigi had never heard of, like a floating light green ”slime” that Luigi did not recognize.

Although Luigi didn’t recognize it, Laplace seemed to have seen this kind of ”slime”: ”I don’t know their exact name, but they shouldn’t be a native Mirror Domain race. I saw them in the Sea of Void Mirror, and their living environment tends toward...”

Laplace paused midway, seeming to search for a suitable description, pondering for a while before saying, ”Probably akin to the Chen Chi World environment.”

Chen Chi World, the civilization of evil fire.

Angel didn’t know much about this world, just seen a brief introduction in the Conquest chronicles. It is said to be a civilization world that developed from fire, with some highly aggressive evil fire deities.

To summarize, it’s a world filled with flames everywhere. Compared to the fire territory of the Tidal World, Chen Chi World is the true fire paradise.

The fire territory of the Tidal World is still built on ”earth,” while in the Chen Chi World, even the so-called ”earth” is composed of ”special flames.”

One could say, Chen Chi World barely qualifies as a pure elemental world.

If these green ”slimes” live in a place similar to Chen Chi World, could it also be a pure elemental world?

Angel did not use spiritual power to sense the green slime, but even so, he discovered slight ripples of wind in the space.

This is a kind of creature that can control the Wind’s Force.

The place they live in, perhaps, is a world of wind?

Regardless of where they live or what their race is, their appearance here means that this gathering actually includes not only the involvement of Mirror Domain races but also some extraordinary beings from ”other worlds.”

This also means that at this gathering, one can not only see the ”specialties” of various Mirror Domain races but also the goods from foreign realms.

This made Angel look forward to this gathering even more.

However, that being said, the green slime is not really the first ”other world” extraordinary life they encountered.

Angel himself, as a ”human,” also belongs to an outsider.

Thinking of this, Angel suddenly had a thought: ”Perhaps, I can meet other humans here?”

”Humans?” Laplace clearly heard Angel’s muttering, giving a slight glance, ”Isn’t there one over there.”

Angel was startled; he just said he might encounter humans, and the next second they appeared? This fast?

Angel hurriedly raised his head, following Laplace’s gaze.

Sure enough, a human accompanied by a humanoid creature towering at four meters emerged from a nearby branching path.

From the back view, this was a long-haired human, hair of deep purple, tied with a black hairband into a high ponytail.

As for the attire, it somewhat resembled the ”exorcist attire of the dark church,” a complex and exquisite short uniform that did not hinder movement. From the back view, this human has long legs clad in black trousers.

As for the humanoid creature next to this human, its appearance was similar to humans except for its enormous size, extremely muscular body, and a face covered by a cloth veil.

Angel had previously seen this race outside the Crystal City, a race from the Mirror Domain called the Ersi Clan.

This race’s numbers are not many, but their rank is on par with the Crystal Eye Clan because they possess a very powerful talent: reinforcing the mirror space.

Their faces are shrouded with veils, supposedly bringing misfortune to those who see them. Therefore, they never show their true face.

While Angel was observing this peculiar duo, the high ponytail person seemed to notice the gaze from behind.

He turned his head, his gaze landing on Angel.

Yes, it’s ”he,” not ”she.”

Angel had assumed from the back view this was a man due to the broad shoulders and tall stature, though the long, deep purple ponytail almost reaching the waist misled Angel.

Now that he turned around, Angel saw his full appearance.

The exorcist attire clung to his body, accentuating his figure; combined with his heroic face and noticeable Adam’s apple, Angel confirmed this was a man.

He too seemed surprised to have encountered three ”humans” here.

To him, Angel, Luigi, and Laplace all appeared as human or at least human in appearance.

He was also aware the sense of being watched came from the red-haired, golden-eyed youth among them, whose gaze wasn’t concealed nor did it bear malice.

After a brief thought, he turned and said something to the Ersi Clan beside him before walking toward Angel.

Angel noticed the ponytail man’s approach as well.

Angel wasn’t surprised that the ponytail man was coming over. As long as there was no malice, Angel was also willing to engage with others in this ”foreign realm.”

However, the scene where the ponytail man spoke to the Ersi Clan before approaching caught Angel’s attention.

This scene reminded Angel of another human he encountered in the Mirror Domain.

Dudubi, also known as ”Mirror of the Ebbing Tide” Yagluo.

Yagluo had lost his memory, living in the City of Hot Gold, with his partner being a pink orb named Duduli.

Now seen, the ponytail man conversed with the Ersi Clan, who kindly bent down, evoking a sense of déjà vu for Angel.

Could this man also be an empty-hearted person retrieved by the Ancient Tooth Fairy? Then fell into the hands of this Ersi Clan? And just like that, did an unexpected connection spark?

Imagining this scene, Angel couldn’t help but shiver a bit.

Surely... it couldn’t be such a coincidence?

As Angel imagined, the ponytail man had already reached near Angel, standing five meters away. He nodded lightly at Angel and then surveyed everyone, opening with wonder, ”Are you all... humans too?”
