Chapter 3166: Chapter 3167: VIP Passage

After leaving Pipi Castle, they took the carriage and headed back.

During this process, a small incident occurred.

They were robbed.

Yes, they were indeed robbed.

Moreover, the location where they encountered the robbers was within the generally recognized safest area of the inner city.

Fortunately, the robbers were quickly subdued; Luigi gave them a good thrashing and then pressed a white button on the carriage. Within a few minutes, the city’s defense team came to arrest them.

This was indeed a small matter, but during the process, Angel noticed many details.

The robbers were three green Pippi Lu, but one among them was dyed. It wasn’t tooth color dye but rather facial color; he dyed his face red and dressed in a large red robe, posing as a Red Skin Pippi, standing at the end.

According to the city defense team’s claims, they dye themselves into Red Skin Pippi specifically to deceive outsiders. Each clan knows the Red Skin Pippi holds high status, so seeing one in a group stops anyone from calling for guards, allowing them to successfully rob some money.

This act of skin dyeing is strictly prohibited in Pipi Castle, with severe punishments, yet this behavior remains common.

From small details, it’s apparent that some Pippi Lu often possess a risk-taking spirit, willing to take unconventional paths.

These presumptuous Pippi folks are bold enough to gather in the inner city for robbery, which is not surprising given the poor perception held by various clans towards the Pippi Lu.

The efforts of Duke Pishu and the Pika Sage are slowly undermined by these common folk.

Aside from gaining deeper insight into the traits of the Pi Luoxiu Clan, Angel also noticed some things he previously overlooked.

First, regarding the button on the carriage.

Luigi called the city defense by pressing the white button.

Interestingly, the carriage has not only the white button but also green and red buttons. If the white button calls the police, then what are the green and red buttons for?

Soon, Luigi provided the answer.

The green, red, and white buttons all connect to city defense guards, signaling a call. However, the green button, pressed by Green Pippi Lu, may not trigger police action; the red button, pressed by Red Skin Pippi, ensures police response; the white button, pressed by non-Pippi Lu, certainly triggers police action in the inner city and likely does so in the outer city.

Overall, it’s a button that responds based on status, highlighting the snobbish nature of the Pippi Lu.

Snobbery and discrimination are pervasive everywhere.

This deeply rooted prejudice and discrimination in the city’s defense probably count as a primary trait.

Angel found it difficult to comment on this but could only sigh again about how challenging it is for Duke Pishu to lead...

Besides the button, Angel also observed another aspect: spatial ability.

Both the robbers and the arriving city defense captain appeared to have spatial ability. Angel witnessed firsthand how they expelled weapons, punitive tools, and even their vehicles from their mouths.

While the scenes appeared somewhat... odd, fitting such large items inside the body implies they have innate spatial ability, doesn’t it?

Faced with Angel’s wonder, Luigi shook his head: ”Not quite. A small portion of Pippi Lu does possess spatial talent, but most do not. What you saw wasn’t spatial ability, but rather a kind of spatial artifact.”

”This spatial artifact is called a Golden Silk Stomach Bag, reportedly a kind of artificial organ implanted within bodies. The inventor is the contemporary Pika Sage.”

”I don’t fully understand its operation,” Luigi paused, ”but, to my knowledge, Pippi Lu has external sales of these Golden Silk Stomach Bags. If you’re interested, you might inquire with Pippi Lu at the gathering later.”

”It’s a shame I haven’t seen this exhibition catalog yet, but I imagine they’re selling Golden Silk Stomach Bags...”

Initially thinking it was a spatial ability, Angel realized it was actually an artificial organ-turned-spatial artifact. Nevertheless, Angel became even more intrigued; spatial artifacts can’t be widespread in the Wizards’ Realm, so how did Pippi Lu invent and modify this?

If the gathering truly offers Golden Silk Stomach Bags for sale... perhaps Angel can find a way to acquire one?

...

Soon, they exited the inner city and outer city, passed through a transition zone, and arrived outside the light shield of Pipi Castle.

Reaching here, they were able to use the Mirror Corridor.

After they left the light shield through the corridor and returned to the Immortal Mirror Sea, Luigi surveyed the environment outside... In the vast ”galaxy,” countless mirrors were ceaselessly emerging and disappearing, and apart from the golden dome of Pipi Castle, no other reference objects were visible.

This was noticeably different from the scene when they entered.

Upon entering, numerous domes were visible outside. Now, they have vanished.

This signifies the movement of Pipi Castle once more.

As Angel pondered this, he glanced back and indeed found the golden dome representing Pipi Castle running towards the depths of the Immortal Mirror Sea, uncertain of where it would stop this time...

The mobility of Pipi Castle is actually quite useful; the only drawback is: upon exiting, one might get lost.

Just as now, Luigi had already lost his bearings.

Luigi looked around for a long time but couldn’t locate any dome to pinpoint the position, eventually sighing: ”Let’s ascend first, and I’ll perform a location fix after leaving the Immortal Mirror Sea.”

Luigi could sense the position of Laplace and Glaipnir, so rerouting wouldn’t be too difficult; however, amidst the chaotic aggregation energy of the Immortal Mirror Sea, such mental communication would be affected.

To achieve precise location-fixing, they indeed needed to leave the Immortal Mirror Sea first.

The Mirror Corridor continued upwards, and within a few seconds, they reached high altitude; Angel gazed down, appreciating the endless galaxy below, while Luigi connected with Laplace nearby.

Before long, Luigi completed the location fix.

”Pipi Castle has moved to the other side of the Immortal Mirror Sea. Judging by distance, Crystal City isn’t far from here,” Luigi spoke while extending the corridor forward.

The corridor twisted and turned, stretching into the darkness’s end.

Luigi: ”Let’s go, absent unexpected events, we should arrive in about five minutes.”

Angel stroked his chin and casually remarked, ”And what if there is an unexpected event?”

Luigi: ”...Even with an unexpected event, it wouldn’t exceed ten minutes.” The reason being simple: with Laplace nearby, any surprise can be effortlessly conquered.

The journey was uneventful, and within about five minutes, they reached the edge of the Immortal Mirror Sea.

Nearby, a crystal-clear, glass-like dome stood amidst the transient mirror light, exceptionally sacred.

Through the dome, enormous crystal structures stretching like mountains within could be faintly seen.

This was indeed the Crystal City of the Crystal Eye Clan.

Through the Mirror Corridor, Angel saw the densely packed mirror creatures of different species, like a surging Black Tide, converging towards the Crystal City.

These were undoubtedly the races participating in the gathering.

Although many species in the rumors were unwilling to attend the gathering supported by the Pi Luoxiu, the current situation showed that even if a few were absent, it didn’t seem to make much difference.

While Angel was marveling at the numerous species attending, the next second he found himself in the dense queue.

No matter what race you were, there was only one door to the Crystal City, and to enter, you had to register. And to register, you had to queue.

The only fortunate thing was that they were using the ”VIP passage.”

Glaipnir had arranged for them to use the VIP passage through his connections, but even so, there were quite a few mirror creatures queued ahead of them.

After all, you’re not the only one with connections.

Unless you want to start a massacre here, you have to queue up.

The VIP passage is also a Mirror Corridor, but it’s wider and can accommodate a larger capacity. As they entered the VIP passage, it felt like moving from a narrow path to a broad road.

The order of the queue was based on the connectivity of the Mirror Corridor.

They were the one hundred thirtieth group to enter the VIP passage, so they were also one hundred thirtieth in line.

The number seemed large, but the speed of progress was faster than imagined.

Every minute, twenty groups could advance, making entering the Crystal City possible in a maximum of six minutes.

Taking advantage of this queuing opportunity, Angel observed the other species around him, and he had to admit that those who could use the VIP passage appeared quite extraordinary.

Even though there were still plenty of strange-looking beings, their inner emanating aura was undeniably remarkable.

It might also be because he had recently encountered Pi Luoxiu, and Pi Luoxiu’s inherent aura had left such a deep impression that he now perceived other species as somewhat metaphysical.

Excluding this reason, Angel had to admit that quite a few races here, just their calm presence, were extremely intimidating, especially the larger species with the most powerful presence.

There were also several at the True Knowledge Wizard level.

Despite having seen many True Knowledge Wizards before, Angel still felt a bit uneasy now...

More than eighty percent of the species present, Angel did not recognize, but at this moment, everyone was gathered on this VIP passage. Although it wasn’t crowded to shoulder bumping levels, whispering wasn’t an option.

Therefore, even if unfamiliar, Luigi didn’t dare to explain at this time.

Regardless of recognition, Angel silently noted the appearance of all the surrounding species. These might be potential future premium clients, possibly becoming the backbone of creating the Crystal Origin of Dreams.

While Angel was quietly observing the surrounding species, he was also being observed.

After all, the scent of the Material Realm on humans was too strong; Angel couldn’t conceal it even if he wanted to.

Humans were very rare in the Mirror Domain, mostly like Dudubi, empty-hearted people washed ashore from the Sea of Void Mirror. Most empty-hearted people came out as ”products” from the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, holding low status; therefore, seeing a human able to queue in the VIP passage naturally drew considerable attention.

Angel noticed several gazes falling on him, but he didn’t care, as long as it doesn’t lead to a confrontation like with Pi Luoxiu...

”You, stop.”

As Angel was thinking this, he heard a wave of mental fluctuation beside him.

The mental fluctuation carried a clear message, unspoken yet more expressive than words.

This wave of mental fluctuation drew almost all species’ eyes to this side. Everyone was curious to see what was happening.

Angel turned back to see, not far away, a giant and terrifying Mirror Dragon flying out from a Mirror Corridor, heading straight for him.

At first, Angel thought someone else had provoked this Mirror Dragon, but as it flew towards him, Angel instinctively sensed trouble; was he always meant to be accident-prone?

As Angel frowned, waiting for the Mirror Dragon to speak, he realized this giant Mirror Dragon, over twenty meters long, stopped in front of him, but those silver eyes weren’t looking at him, instead focusing on... Luigi.

”Luigi, I can smell you.” The Mirror Dragon’s mental fluctuation lingered around, and Angel was witnessing this kind for the first time, even feeling that the surrounding space rippled due to the fluctuation.

From the Mirror Dragon calling out Luigi’s name directly, it was clear they were acquainted.

”You and this human have met it.” The vast Mirror Dragon didn’t ask; its voice was filled with certainty.

Here, the ”it” whom the Mirror Dragon referred to wasn’t specified, but Angel could almost confirm it as Baba Ragon; only Baba Ragon was related to and noted by the Mirror Dragon.

Luigi: ”We met, but I went to it for other matters this time, didn’t ask about its opinion on the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom. You asking me is pointless.”

The giant Mirror Dragon fell silent for a moment, then slowly spoke: ”I want to meet it.”

”If you want to meet it, just go. Why tell me?” Luigi replied irritably.

The giant Mirror Dragon said: ”It won’t meet me, but it’ll meet you.”

It implied that the Mirror Dragon wanted to meet Baba Ragon, but Baba Ragon didn’t want to meet it, requiring Luigi as a guide.

Luigi: ”If I take you to meet it, it’s equivalent to betraying a friend... I won’t!”

The giant Mirror Dragon didn’t speak, its cold silver eyes quietly observing Luigi.

After half a minute, as Luigi was feeling slightly uncomfortable under its stare, his gaze suddenly landed on Angel.

”If you truly want to see it, I can show you a way.”

As he spoke, Luigi leaned towards Angel and gestured with his eyes suggestively.

Angel understood after a while, along with Luigi’s secret signals.

He was inquiring if Baba Ragon was online.

Angel hesitated a bit, then gently nodded.

Shortly after they left Pipi Castle, Baba Ragon already had its pacifier in its mouth, logged into the Crystal Origin of Dreams, and until now hadn’t gone offline, probably still researching.

Luigi realized, turned to the giant Mirror Dragon and said, ”I have a way to let you meet Baba Ragon, but I won’t be involved.”

Giant Mirror Dragon: ”???” If you’re not involved, how can Baba Ragon meet me?

Luigi didn’t explain further, merely saying, ”We can talk about it at the gathering; you’ll know then.”
