Chapter 3156: Chapter 3157: Multi-headed Dragon

Is this dome the Hundred Dragons Kingdom?

”Does the Hundred Dragons Kingdom leaving the Undying Mirror Sea mean they don’t plan to participate in this gathering?” Angel curiously asked.

Luigi pondered for a moment and shook his head, ”It’s hard to say.”

”You know about that big event in the Hundred Dragons Kingdom two thousand years ago, right?”

Angel nodded. Two thousand years ago, a young mirror dragon from the Hundred Dragons Kingdom was ambushed and killed on the road. Glaipnir had told him about this. But is this related to the Hundred Dragons Kingdom’s departure from the Undying Mirror Sea?

Angel speculated, ”Could it be that the Hundred Dragons Kingdom is worried that the gathering of various tribes in the Undying Mirror Sea will pose a threat to the young dragons? So they choose to leave at this time?”

Luigi: ”No, those adult mirror dragons of the Hundred Dragons Kingdom possess combat power far superior to other races, especially when they are at the base with the backing of support—their combat power is unparalleled. They’re not worried about other tribes gathering... Plus, all the tribes in the mirror aren’t foolish enough to provoke the Hundred Dragons Kingdom actively.”

”The reason the Hundred Dragons Kingdom chose to leave is that the curiosity of young mirror dragons is too strong...”

There were several routine gatherings among tribes held at the Undying Mirror Sea, and at that time, the Hundred Dragons Kingdom did not withdraw, resulting in some minor disturbances.

Routine gatherings among tribes, just the thought alone reveals many novel things there. Moreover, the gathering is held nearby the Undying Mirror Sea!

For the young mirror dragons trapped in the Divine Kingdom for years, it’s like a ball of yarn in the eyes of a young kitten, tickling their immature hearts.

Thus, cases of young mirror dragons secretly ”breaking out” to join the gathering occurred.

And every gathering at the Undying Mirror Sea would have similar situations.

Because the aura of the Undying Mirror Sea is too chaotic, and the external life-extinguishing mirror light can block the sight of adult mirror dragons, the young ones often succeed.

Although these young dragons are always carried back safely, this became a concern for many worried adult mirror dragons.

Ultimately, the adult mirror dragons decided that whenever gatherings are held at this Undying Mirror Sea, they would withdraw first and strictly watch the young dragons to prevent their escapes.

Adult mirror dragons who wish to join the gathering can go on their own.

Thus, seeing the Hundred Dragons Kingdom’s dome leaving the Undying Mirror Sea does not mean they have opted out of the gathering; it only means a large number of mirror dragons won’t attend.

Of course, they might choose to opt out. After all, the mirror dragons do not have much affection for Pirush.

And that’s why Luigi finds it ”hard to say.”

After listening to Luigi’s narrative, Angel is left with one thought: Naughty kids aren’t confined to any one race.

However, to come back to the point, is such a forced suppression of the young mirror dragons’ actions truly a good educational method?

Angel rubbed his chin, thinking to himself: Regardless of whether this educational method is good or not, it’s a good opportunity for them.

The curiosity of mischievous children is innate. And curiosity itself is a key to unlocking the doors of wisdom.

As long as the adult mirror dragons aren’t foolish, they should understand this principle.

Right now, their forced suppression of the young dragon’s actions is just a two thousand-year-long post-traumatic stress reaction. They know they’ve gone too far, but they’d rather intensify the constraints than see young dragons die from neglect.

Angel can’t immediately cure their ”illness,” but he can use a subtle way to temporarily solve the plight of the young dragons.

As for the solution—it’s naturally the Dream Crystal Plains!

Let the young dragons log into the Dream Crystal Plains; as long as they don’t deliberately seek death, encountering accidents is difficult. Moreover, entering as a living creature, they can log off anytime in danger.

Meanwhile, in reality, the young dragon’s bodies remain in the Hundred Dragons Kingdom, and adult mirror dragons needn’t worry about their escapes.

Doesn’t this perfectly resolve the young dragon’s ”curiosity” problem?

The only deficiency might be the attraction problem of the Dream Crystal Plains.

The current Dream Crystal Plains is just vast crystal plains, crystal mountains, essentially nothing else, potentially causing visual and psychological fatigue.

Unlike the Wilderness of Dreams, which has cities, wild forests, unique ecosystems, and unknown creatures.

The attraction of Dream Crystal Plains is severely lacking and might not satisfy the young dragon’s curiosity unless they luckily stumble upon an instance...

And the instances aren’t necessarily interesting. Like the Uriel Dungeon, Luigi might care a lot, but Angel personally finds it uninteresting.

In terms of fun, it’s not as good as the Tomorrow Town instance, which tests intelligence, vision, and details.

So, if you genuinely want to capture the young dragon’s heart, you must consider the problem of attraction.

This attraction cannot rely only on authority.

If tribes can settle in the Dream Crystal Plains, or even hold gatherings there, it would surely be more attractive to young dragons than simply using authority to construct things.

Though thinking about this now is premature; they haven’t even seen adult mirror dragons yet, considering their children’s issues is too early.

Without considering these distant thoughts for now, Angel and Luigi continue chatting.

”You mentioned earlier that Mirror Dragons don’t like Pirush?” Angel asked, ”Did Pirush ever deceive Mirror Dragons?”

The Mirror Dragons are already a race at the pinnacle of the Daylight Mirror Domain, how could Pirush, a race of weak individual ability, dare to go against all norms and provoke the Mirror Dragon’s whiskers?

Luigi shook his head: ”No, not really. The greatest criticism of Pirush, apart from their somewhat problematic racial character, lies in their Pipi Castle’s ability to move within the Undying Mirror Sea, occupying areas with high concentration of aggregation energy for cultivation. Yet, the region where the Hundred Dragons Kingdom is located is often in the depths of the Undying Mirror Sea, where Pipi Castle’s strength cannot ward against the mirror extinction death light there.”

So, even if Pipi Castle can move, it cannot take advantage of the Hundred Dragons Kingdom.

”Since Pirush and the Mirror Dragon Clan have no interaction, why would Mirror Dragons disfavor Pirush? Is it due to personality?”

Luigi: ”No, it’s because of Baba Ragon.”

Angel: ”???”

Weren’t we discussing the relationship between Mirror Dragons and Pirush? Why has Baba Ragon suddenly come into the picture?

Angel knew that Baba Ragon currently resides in Pipi Castle learning invention techniques, but how did he get entangled in the Mirror Dragon enmity?

Could it be that Baba Ragon is wanted by the Mirror Dragon Clan?

And since Baba Ragon is hiding in Pipi Castle now, the Mirror Dragon Clan can’t stand Pirush?

”No, if Baba Ragon were truly wanted by the Mirror Dragon Clan, Pirush wouldn’t dare to shelter him.” Luigi waved his hand and said, ”The real reason is that Baba Ragon himself is originally from the Hundred Dragon Divine Kingdom.”

Angel: ”...”

”Baba Ragon is a Mirror Dragon? But didn’t you say you met him at Everstanding King City?”

Luigi said seriously, ”Baba Ragon used to reside in Everstanding King City, and now he lives in Pipi Castle. There’s no argument about that.”

Angel: ”What I mean is, if Baba Ragon is a Mirror Dragon, why doesn’t he live in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom?”

Luigi shrugged, ”Because Baba Ragon harbors resentment towards the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.”

Angel sniffed out the scent of gossip.

Originating from the Mirror Dragon Clan, yet harboring resentment towards the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom—could it be, he’s a rebel?

Luigi was preparing to explain when Laplace suddenly said, ”That’s enough, let’s split up here.”

Upon hearing Laplace’s words, Angel instinctively lowered his head to look down, discovering they had already reached the edge of the Immortal Mirror Sea.

Not far away stood a dome, in the flickering mirror light, one could vaguely see inside the dome, where a huge Crystal City radiated a sparkling brilliance.

”That’s the Crystal City of the Crystal Eye Clan, I’ll head over with Glaipnir, and we’ll meet later in Crystal City,” Laplace said to Angel.

Angel nodded, ”Alright.”

Laplace said nothing more, and with Glaipnir leaning on a cane, they exited the Mirror Corridor, treading upon the immortal mirror light, flying straight towards Crystal City.

Only when their figures were obscured by light and shadow did Angel withdraw his gaze, and he continued to look at Luigi.

Luigi muttered softly, ”So we’ve reached the Immortal Mirror Sea? I wonder where Pipi Castle is now...”

After speaking, Luigi lifted his head to look at Angel, ”Let’s talk while we search.”

Although he said ”let’s” talk and search, Angel was actually of no help at all; he couldn’t determine where Pipi Castle was. The only thing he knew was that Pipi Castle’s dome was golden, and from this golden dome, tentacles could extend, resembling a glowing spider, swiftly moving across the Immortal Mirror Sea.

Angel benefited from the creativity of Pipi Castle’s dome when attaching wings and collectors to the Heart Space.

”Where were we? Oh, I remember now, Baba Ragon resents the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.” Luigi continued while searching for Pipi Castle, ”Baba Ragon is quite unique in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom as it’s part of the rare multi-headed dragon lineage among the Mirror Dragons.”

”Multi-headed dragons, as the name suggests, have more heads, each with its own personality and mystical abilities. However, what’s significant is the colossal size of multi-headed dragons.”

”Multi-headed dragons are gigantic Mirror Dragons, one of the six great dragon clans in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom. An adult multi-headed dragon typically appears only dozens of meters long, but deeper inside the Mirror World, their body can extend for over a thousand meters.”

”Baba Ragon, however, is somewhat special. Although categorized as a multi-headed dragon, his mother was a miniature dragon... And unfortunately for him, while he inherited the multi-headed dragon appearance, his size was inherited from his mother, even smaller than her, with a form that’s visibly smaller than ours.”

”Such ultra-miniature dragons are known as Mini Dragons in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.”

Of course, the term Mini Dragon is not malicious but merely descriptive. But for the famously multi-headed dragon Baba Ragon to have only a Mini Dragon’s body resulted in one outcome: he felt very insecure.

Especially, since he lived in the multi-headed dragon territory, surrounded by multi-headed dragons thousands of times larger than him, the environment amplified his internal sense of insecurity.

”His insecurity made the young Baba Ragon highly sensitive.”

At this point, Luigi sighed, ”And young Mirror Dragons are generally quite...”

Luigi paused, seemingly choosing his words carefully, hesitating for a long time; Angel chipped in with a phrase, ”Little brats.”

Luigi’s eyes lit up, nodding, ”Exactly, little brats.”

”Little brats often do inexplicable things, especially toward peers who don’t look quite the same, holding a mocking attitude.”

”Perhaps for them, it was not meant maliciously, just a joke. But for the sensitive Baba Ragon, it was humiliating.”

”Baba Ragon grew up in such an environment and chose to leave as soon as he became an adult.”

”Upon leaving, he never returned to the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.”

”Over the years, Baba Ragon experienced a lot and now temporarily resides in Pipi Castle.”

”Of course, if that’s all, the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom wouldn’t care about Pirush, just an externally residing Mirror Dragon. There are many such dragons in the Mirror Domain.”

”The reason the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom dislikes Pirush is that they discovered the Dragon God’s mark appeared on Baba Ragon...”

The so-called Dragon God’s Mark, unrelated to a deity, is a bloodline legacy left by the creator of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.

Any Mirror Dragon born in the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom might receive the Dragon God’s Mark.

Receiving the Dragon God’s Mark signifies that this Mirror Dragon holds significant potential. Almost all kings of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom possess the Dragon God’s Mark.

Angel: ”So, the Dragon God’s Mark equals the credential for the king of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom?”

Luigi nodded, ”Sort of, but it’s just a credential, or the potential for kingship, though still unable to directly ascend the throne. Because while the Dragon God’s Mark is rare, each generation always has a few Mirror Dragons possessing it; it’s not exclusive.”

”However, the Dragon God’s Mark ending up outside, coupled with Baba Ragon—a holder of the Dragon God’s Mark—having expressed clear unwillingness to return to the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom, this hits the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom’s pride hard.”

”The high-level officials of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom won’t blame Baba Ragon, since blaming him questions their ancestors. So, they’ve shifted their anger onto Pirush.”

”They feel Pirush’s ingenious inventions seduced Baba Ragon... so they disdain Pirush.”

Upon hearing this, Angel mostly understood the entire process and reason.

Angel: ”Do the high-level officials of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom genuinely believe this explanation?”

Luigi shrugged, ”Personally, I think they comprehend the true reason, but these things can’t be said openly. Saying it directly would be admitting fault, so they need a scapegoat, and Pirush makes a perfect scapegoat, especially since its reputation isn’t very good...”

If the high-level officials of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom truly believed Pirush corrupted Baba Ragon, they would have the power to storm Pipi Castle and take Baba Ragon. But since they haven’t done so, it implies that they understand internally that Pirush is merely a scapegoat, and what’s crucial is Baba Ragon’s personal intentions.
