Chapter 2990: Chapter 2991: Cha Cha Mirror

When Angel returned to the Qingkong Poetry Room, he did not find Adanis.

However, Angel could sense that there were still some lingering traces of Adanis’s aura in the chamber. From the extent, location, and disarray of the remnants, it could basically be deduced that after leaving the Heart Space, Adanis didn’t linger in the chamber at all and left immediately.

Moreover, she seemed to have left in a hurry.

It was understandable; Adanis had a slip-up this time, and with her prideful nature, she probably wouldn’t want to meet Angel anytime soon.

No one to disturb him was also good; Angel took this opportunity to refine a new mirror.

He had previously told Laplace that it would take just ten minutes to finish the refinement, but the actual process took half an hour.

The delay was due to his constantly changing plans.

Initially, Angel only intended to casually refine a mirror and inscribe a sturdy Magic Pattern. However, after seeing the half-length mirror floating in mid-air, exuding a Mysterious Aura, he changed his mind.

He wanted to experiment with Mysterious Concrete Object on this half-length mirror... Since that was the case, why not modify it and combine it with the new mirror?

Thus, the refinement time gradually increased.

Finally, after a full half-hour, Angel completed the new mirror.

The new mirror, like before, used Arcane Platinum as the base and Kombu Silver as the surface. However, at first glance, it seemed far from a mirror, resembling more of a thumb-sized glass marble.

The glass bead emitting a faint red glow was embedded at the top of the half-length mirror, perfectly blending with the surrounding Beast Engraving, leaving no sense of discord.

This Beast Engraving was concretized by Angel using a Mysterious Concrete Object.

Its function was even simpler than those light spots in the Heart Space, serving only as ”embedding”... at best, it could be said to have an ”aesthetic” function.

The original half-length mirror couldn’t bear other things, but to combine the new mirror with the mysterious half-length mirror, Angel created the Beast Engraving for embedding.

Moreover, the Beast Engraving could stretch in coordination with the embedded items as necessary.

For example, the embedded glass bead, which seemed small, was merely an appearance. Once Angel activated it, it could instantly expand, covering the half-length mirror, forming a new surface.

The new surface only served as sturdiness without any mystery.

Thus, the new surface could serve as a link, leading to Rabbit Mountain!

Looking at the newly minted half-length mirror, Angel was actually still somewhat dissatisfied.

The half-length mirror was still lacking something, for instance, the wings Angel wanted to test hadn’t been added... Also, the ”Beast Engraving” embedding effect was ultimately just a transformation application; it was currently impossible to add new plugin effects to Mysterious Objects.

Perhaps the Psychokinesis System of Hante World could offer some surprises, but unfortunately, he had no time to visit now.

As for research on avatars... it could be done, but achieving it in one go was quite challenging.

Angel sighed lightly and activated the glass bead.

Instantly, the new surface appeared before Angel, looking much plainer compared to the originally deeply mysterious surface.

Angel reached out and placed the item given to him by the Rabbit Girl to open the passage on the surface.

Time slowly passed.

A few minutes later, the surface flickered, then went completely dark.

Instead of reflecting the outside world, a pitch-black space appeared, and before long, the Rabbit Girl’s timid figure emerged in the dark space.

At first, the Rabbit Girl seemed hesitant, but once she confirmed that the person standing outside the surface was Angel, she quickly walked over.

Soon, the Rabbit Girl had clambered onto the surface, half of her body emerging from the mirror.

”Ah, I’ve been waiting for you to come!” the Rabbit Girl rarely showed such excitement, poking her little head out of the mirror and examining the half-length mirror: ”Is this the mysterious object? You’re amazing; I just heard the main body and the Astrologer saying you crafted a mysterious object, it stunned me! I was wondering why you hadn’t connected to Rabbit Mountain yet, but little did I know you silently pulled off a big move!”

The Rabbit Girl might have been captivated by the mysterious object, muttering incessantly, revealing her thoughts in a torrent of words.

Angel wasn’t surprised that the Rabbit Girl knew about the half-length mirror. After all, the Rabbit Girl had always been in Rabbit Mountain, as long as in the Daylight Mirror Domain, Laplace contacting the Rabbit Girl was simple; one Mind Sharing, and all events were transmitted.

”This isn’t a mysterious object, just a regular surface I embedded. Under the surface is the real main body.” Angel paused: ”Moreover, even the main body isn’t a mysterious object, still a distance from a mysterious object.”

”I was wondering why the surface didn’t have a mysterious aura, but the frame did... no wonder.” The Rabbit Girl showed a hint of realization: ”By the way, what’s this mysterious object’s name? I just know it corresponds to the Heart Space, oh, is it a name as well?”

Angel: ”This isn’t an actual mysterious object...”

Rabbit Girl: ”So it doesn’t have a name? How about I give it one? How about Rabbit Ear Mirror? Actually, Rabbit Rabbit Mirror could work too.”

Angel sighed, knowing it would be difficult to explain the difference between a Half-step Mystic Object and a genuine mysterious object to the Rabbit Girl.

If it can’t be explained, so be it.

However, the Rabbit Girl did raise a question that Angel needed to ponder.

What should this mirror be named?

The Rabbit Girl’s suggestions, Angel found, lacked much reference value; Rabbit Ear Mirror was sheer nonsense, where were the rabbit ears? And Rabbit Rabbit Mirror, the repetition felt too childish.

But speaking of rabbits, Angel couldn’t help but think of the rabbit Cha Cha.

Perhaps, this mirror could be called... Cha Cha Mirror?

”How about it? Is the name I suggested okay? If Rabbit Ear Mirror and Rabbit Rabbit Mirror are not, maybe Rabbit Mirror, or White Rabbit Mirror, Little White Rabbit Mirror?” The Rabbit Girl seemed to have naming fever, eagerly watching Angel.

Angel didn’t respond directly but instead asked: ”The surface is already connected to Rabbit Mountain, right?”

The Rabbit Girl nodded: ”Yes, connected. In the future, you can use a code knock on the surface, and I will come... or send my little rabbits.”

Angel: ”Since it’s connected, let’s leave it at that for now. I need to test other data of the mirror.”

Angel spoke with a hint of issuing a dismissal order.

The Rabbit Girl reluctantly withdrew her head back into the mirror, but before leaving, she hadn’t forgotten to ask: ”You haven’t told me yet, what’s the mirror’s name?”

Angel was silent for a moment, softly saying: ”The official name is Indestructible Heart Mirror, but it can also be called... Cha Cha Mirror.”

The Rabbit Girl tilted her head: ”Cha Cha Mirror? Why is it called Cha Cha Mirror?”

Angel: ...Why are you only focused on Cha Cha Mirror, didn’t I say the official name is Indestructible Heart Mirror?

Though internally retorting, Angel still replied seriously: ”The reason it’s called Cha Cha Mirror is because when I refined this mirror, I encountered a rabbit that greatly assisted me, who claimed to be called Cha Cha.”

The Rabbit Girl’s eyes lit up: ”Rabbit? Cha Cha?!”

Seeing the Rabbit Girl’s expression, Angel knew she wanted to continue asking about the rabbit Cha Cha, so he quickly stopped her: ”If you want to know about the rabbit Cha Cha, I’ll tell you when I next visit Rabbit Mountain. For now, I have other things to attend to.”

The Rabbit Girl thought for a moment, then nodded: ”Alright, next time, you’ll have to tell me about the rabbit Cha Cha!”

With that, the Rabbit Girl slowly disappeared into the mirror.

However, just before she completely vanished, her voice came through:

”The main body mentioned before that your naming skills were poor, but I think she was wrong this time... Cha Cha Mirror sounds nice, I really like it.”

The voice grew fainter until it completely vanished.

Angel was silent for a moment before helplessly saying: ”It’s the Indestructible Heart Mirror!”

But, by then, the Rabbit Girl had already left, with no one to respond.

Angel softly muttered to himself, ”In hindsight, I should have just called it Indestructible Heart Mirror earlier; the name suits the effect of the Half-length Mirror perfectly. But, Cha Cha Mirror isn’t bad either...”

...

Within the Heart Space, Laplace summoned a mirror using Aggregation Energy.

The mirror faced her directly.

She gently waved at her reflection in the mirror, and the ’Laplace’ in the mirror waved back, before stepping out from within the mirror.

The ’Laplace’ who stepped out of the mirror looked exactly the same as Laplace; the only difference lay in her eye coloration — though they were also green and yellow, the positions were swapped. From left green, right yellow, they changed to left yellow, right green.

If one didn’t look carefully, it was hard to notice these details.

And this ’Laplace’ was a Mirror Spirit avatar created by Laplace.

Previously, Laplace had also created Mirror Spirit avatars, but those were palm-sized, and she could create hundreds in an instant; they were mostly used for reconnaissance and lacked intelligence.

However, this ’Laplace’ in front of her possessed intelligence.

And this intelligence originated from Laplace herself.

Which was to say, she could multitask.

Since she could multitask, Laplace didn’t need to speak out commands; just a thought from her mind, and the Mirror Spirit avatar would begin maneuvering the Heart Space, setting off to explore for physical objects in the Sea of Void Mirror.

At the same time, the Mirror Spirit avatar took out a Photostone from the side to record surrounding reflections.

The Photostone was left by Angel to record reflections of other worlds in his absence.

While the Mirror Spirit avatar managed the Heart Space, Laplace fashioned a sofa and sat down, quietly awaiting Angel’s external testing...

Whether Angel’s test had begun, Laplane did not know, but after half an hour of waiting, Laplace did not witness any anomalies in the Heart Space due to the test. Instead, a piece of intriguing information came from Rabbit Mountain.

”Cha Cha Mirror?” Laplace murmured this name to herself.

To say it sounds unpleasant doesn’t seem right; yet to insist it sounds pleasant isn’t quite accurate either.

If we ignore the backstory told by the Rabbit Girl, that ”the tale behind the Cha Cha Mirror originates from a rabbit named Cha Cha,” the name holds little significance.

”However, though the name is a bit strange, it is still better than something like a Crystal Origin of Dreams,” Laplace mused silently.

She had assumed Angel would choose a serious name, something like ’Solid Mirror,’ ’Heart Mirror,’ or ’Eternal Heart Mirror’... Unexpectedly, he picked a name with a hint of childlike whimsy.

While Laplace savored the ’Cha Cha Mirror’ name with interest, she was entirely unaware that Angel had already named the mirror officially, and the official name was very close to what Laplace had guessed. The Rabbit Girl knew but chose to ignore the stern name altogether, since Angel said it could be called Cha Cha Mirror, then that’s what it would be called!

Time passed, and after about twenty more minutes.

Laplace suddenly frowned, stood up from the sofa, and gazed towards the top of the Heart Space.

In the midair, an eye seemed to be slowly opening.

Laplace, being well-versed with special spaces and having dealt with similar occurrences before, immediately knew that the eye opening represented the activation of a mirror passage.

Has someone entered through the Cha Cha Mirror? Is it Adanis?

Previously, Adanis had intruded into the Heart Space via the Cha Cha Mirror, only to leave hastily due to a misunderstanding.

But having fled doesn’t necessarily mean she wouldn’t return.

Now that the mirror passage opens again, Laplace naturally assumed the visitor might be Adanis.

Laplace promptly ordered the Heart Wall and ground to become opaque again to prevent Adanis from discovering that the Heart Space was wandering the Sea of Void Mirror.

Having done all this, Laplace knitted her brows and prepared for Adanis’s arrival.

Yet, half a minute later.

Adanis didn’t appear; instead, it was... a bewildered-looking Angel.

...

A few minutes later.

”So, you just tried entering the Cha Cha Mirror, and here you are?” Laplace asked in astonishment.

Angel nodded, ”That’s right, by the way, Cha Cha Mirror is just a nickname. Its official name is...”

Laplace furrowed her brow, ”Ordinary Magic Power can’t intervene with the mirror; did you use another type of energy?”

Angel was explaining the name of the Cha Cha Mirror but was interrupted by Laplace, leading his thoughts to follow her words.

”Sort of,” Angel nodded, ”Indeed, it wasn’t pure Magic Power; it combined with some other type of energy.”

Combining with other energy? What energy? Laplace was about to inquire, but her thoughts shifted, immediately stopping herself.

This obviously involved Angel’s secrets. Since he didn’t continue, pressing on would seem impolite.

Laplace didn’t press Angel further about the energy used to enter the Mirror Domain; instead, she solemnly stated, ”Entering a mirror and entering the Mirror Domain are two different concepts, with completely different levels of danger. And it’s further subcategorized: is it energy, physical entities, or living creatures entering?”

”If it’s a living creature entering a mirror, unless it’s a special mirror, there’s a high probability that the mirror will collapse instantly, making even escape difficult.”

”And that’s just entering a mirror; entering the Mirror Domain is more challenging and inherently more dangerous.”

”I don’t know how you made it in, but if what you possess isn’t Aggregation Energy, then you must be more cautious when conducting such cross-domain experiments next time.”

Laplace wasn’t trying to scare him; it’s just that the Mirror Domain and the Wizards’ Realm are ultimately two different worlds.

Angel’s act was a form of cross-domain travel.

Any cross-domain activity carries risks.

Moreover, Angel entered the mirror world from the absolute Material Realm.

Generally speaking, without a mirror creature using Aggregation Energy to stabilize the space, Angel’s entry into the ’interior of the mirror’ would lead to spatial collapse due to inadequate carrying capacity, not to mention traversing through a long passage to reach the Mirror Domain.

Therefore, in Laplace’s view, Angel’s test appeared too reckless.

The fact that Angel could stand here now was only due to his good fortune.

The entire process of the Heart Space connecting to the outside Cha Cha Mirror was very stable, including the stability inside the ’interior of the mirror,’ which was sufficient to carry a living being’s mass; otherwise, Angel would have perished.

Usually, such passages aren’t so sturdy; we can only say that the ’sturdy’ trait of the Cha Cha Mirror, under the enhancement of Mysterious Power, is remarkably extraordinary.

But this is only achievable with the Cha Cha Mirror.

If Angel were to use a different mirror, it would likely be a one-way trip.

Nevertheless, this also stems from Angel being exceptionally unique; he mastered a type of energy that could interfere with the mirror, which gave him a chance to enter the mirror world.

It would be impossible for other Wizards to interfere with the mirror surface, much less enter the Mirror Domain.

This actually acts as a form of protection for non-Mirror Domain beings.

Angel scratched his head, ”I, I understand. I’ll be more cautious next time I do such experiments.”

Laplace looked at Angel’s somewhat embarrassed expression and sighed inwardly, saying, ”However, this time your unintended consequence might be advantageous; if you can freely enter the Heart Space in the future, it would be much more convenient, otherwise each time you enter the Mirror Domain, you’d have to specifically find the Heart Space.”

”As for the sturdiness of the Cha Cha Mirror’s passage, I’ll handle the testing. Whether you can enter the Heart Space at will, I’ll provide you an answer later.”
