Chapter 2977: Chapter 2978: Tooth Fairy Father and Daughter

”Let’s put this matter aside for now and discuss it later.”

Facing Angel’s choice, Glaipnir frowned. She felt an Empty-hearted Person was quite valuable for cultivation, and she could help negotiate at the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy; it wouldn’t take long to cultivate a loyal subordinate.

But Angel refused.

This left Glaipnir somewhat puzzled; was it because he mistrusted the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, or... didn’t trust me?

Although Glaipnir didn’t quite understand what Angel was thinking, she didn’t inquire, simply nodded, accepting Angel’s decision.

Meanwhile, Wolftooth Di-Bone had almost finished speaking as well, not because his daughter’s story ended, but because he intertwined Dragon Tooth Qin’s matters with others, resulting in incoherent ramblings. Wolftooth Di-Bone realized this and fell silent, pondering.

Since Wolftooth Di-Bone ceased speaking, Angel also stopped transmitting his voice and turned to Laplace: ”You’ve seen this kettle now; are you sure it’s not a magical object?”

Angel asked mainly because of the energy loop on the kettle. Now, this pink-haired youth, though transformed into an Empty-hearted Person, could still absorb the special energy transmuted by the kettle and store it in his body. This clearly signified an inseparable connection between the pink-haired youth and the kettle.

Angel hadn’t found an effect like ”recognition of the master” on the kettle. The pink-haired youth absorbed special energy autonomously without recognizing a master; could this be what is called a ”magical object”?

Laplace couldn’t be so certain now. She examined the kettle carefully and, after a while, said, ”In the world I know, this type of kettle design is quite common. Magical objects encompass various types and forms of items, so maybe there are kettles among them.”

Thus, there’s a possibility that this kettle is a magical object.

”However, given that I’m observing that world through the reflection of the Sea of Void Mirror, I can’t sense the energy of that world, so I can’t make an accurate judgment.”

Angel understood Laplace; he too had seen some scenes of the Otherworld through the reflection of the Sea of Void Mirror. Those scenes were like watching a movie, you could only see the pictures, and perceive nothing else.

”Never mind, I’ll research it later.” Angel sighed, since the kettle was in his possession, he could study it anytime he wanted.

After speaking, Angel prepared to put away the kettle.

Just then, Wolftooth Di-Bone suddenly spoke: ”This kettle looks familiar to me.”

Glaipnir replied indifferently: ”Because you fished it out not long ago... but it’s not yours; I asked you to fetch it.”

Wolftooth Di-Bone retorted testily: ”Of course, I remember fishing it out; I mean, I think I’ve seen this kettle somewhere before... I should have handled similar kettles.”

Angel hadn’t intended to pay attention to this forgetful old man, but hearing his words, he was moved: ”Since you’ve handled it, you should know which world it came from, right?”

Wolftooth Di-Bone replied matter-of-factly: ”Of course I know. It’s from...”

As he spoke halfway, a big question mark appeared again in his wise eyes.

Wolftooth Di-Bone: ”From, from... which world? Yes, from that world!”

Angel was already too tired to respond, silently shifting his gaze to Glaipnir.

Glaipnir rubbed her aching temples and said softly: ”Alright then, go find Dragon Tooth Qin; she’s currently the thirteenth elder of the Elders Council of Mirror Sea Scholars, she should know these matters.”

Angel glanced at Laplace and transmitted: ”Is Dragon Tooth Qin reliable?”

Previously, Wolftooth Di-Bone mentioned many things related to Dragon Tooth Qin, but Angel barely listened.

Laplace paused for a moment before saying: ”She should be more reliable than Wolftooth Di-Bone.”

Angel: ”Does Dragon Tooth Qin also have a poor memory?”

Laplace shook her head: ”Not at all. As far as I know, Dragon Tooth Qin is a very knowledgeable scholar who loves reading; though she’s a bit... lazy.”

With Glaipnir’s added explanation, Angel understood Dragon Tooth Qin’s personality. It’s not so much laziness as it is being a homebody.

A typical Academy Faction member, she only commanded verbally, not physically. According to Glaipnir, Dragon Tooth Qin is the only Ancient Tooth Fairy in the Elders Council without ”seeking method” experience. She knows the theory but hasn’t practiced it.

In other words, Dragon Tooth Qin is entirely opposite of Wolftooth Di-Bone. Wolftooth Di-Bone is action-oriented, Dragon Tooth Qin is inactivity-oriented.

This also means Angel must personally seek out Dragon Tooth Qin for answers.

Angel pondered for a moment, eventually nodding.

He was looking for a companion to the gemstone lid, initially intending to contact the Ancient Tooth Fairies. Unfortunately, although Glaipnir correctly guessed Angel’s intention and brought Wolftooth Di-Bone, who had significant influence over the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, engaging with Wolftooth Di-Bone was as good as not engaging at all due to his forgetfulness.

Now, switching to another Ancient Tooth Fairy, Angel personally had no objections as long as the other party seemed somewhat normal.

This Dragon Tooth Qin, according to Laplace and Glaipnir’s description, appeared relatively normal.

Furthermore, Angel himself was somewhat curious about the kettle and the youth from the Otherworld within it. If answers could be found, he’d be willing to make the journey.

After Angel nodded, Glaipnir approached Wolftooth Di-Bone, explaining their request.

Wolftooth Di-Bone listened to Glaipnir’s request and didn’t immediately agree; instead, he cast his gaze toward Laplace.

Laplace stated calmly: ”I will go too.”

Wolftooth Di-Bone’s eyes lit up, and he agreed immediately, even eagerly offering to lead the way.

Although it was Angel’s request, undoubtedly, Wolftooth Di-Bone agreed due to Glaipnir and Laplace’s presence. Angel didn’t mind this.

He and Wolftooth Di-Bone were strangers; it was normal for the other party not to care about him.

Soon, Laplace opened the Mirror Corridor.

Wolftooth Di-Bone volunteered to walk ahead, indicating he would lead the way. While walking, he commented: ”I haven’t seen my daughter in a long time, I miss her.”

”Hasn’t Dragon Tooth Qin been at the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy recently?” Glaipnir asked, somewhat surprised.

She found Wolftooth Di-Bone at the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy; if Dragon Tooth Qin were there as well, Wolftooth Di-Bone wouldn’t say ”haven’t seen her in a long time.”

According to Glaipnir’s understanding of Dragon Tooth Qin, this homebody rarely moved, yet she recently left the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy?

Wolftooth Di-Bone: ”Yes, she hasn’t been at the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy lately. She went to... hmm, let me think, where did she go?”

Wolftooth Di-Bone suddenly paused, deep in thought.

Everyone: ”...” And you think you can lead the way?

When Angel was about to say ”Let’s just forget it,” Wolftooth Di-Bone suddenly said, ”Oh, I’ve remembered.”

Glaipnir: ”You’ve remembered where your daughter is?”

Wolftooth Di-Bone: ”I remembered my daughter left me a staff!”

In Glaipnir’s puzzled gaze, Wolftooth Di-Bone picked up the staff, pressed it against his curved tusk, and Aggregation Energy escaped from the Authority, rushing into the tusk.

Before long, ripples like water waves spread from the tusk.

The water-like ripples formed a faint phantom shadow in the corridor.

It’s somewhat like a holographic projection, but cruder, like an unstable transmission signal.

However, although the image wasn’t very stable and was quite rough, everyone could still clearly see the figure in the image.

It was a very old yet festive female Ancient Tooth Fairy; she was hunched over, leaning on a walking stick like Wolftooth Di-Bone. However, her attire was much simpler than Wolftooth Di-Bone’s luxurious style, wrapped in a rough hemp-like robe.

The reason for saying she’s ”festive” is because the old Tooth Fairy’s face was: a peachy face.

The peachy face was naturally amiable, coupled with her smiling expression and the pure white bubble hat she wore, giving a sense of friendliness and kindness.

”This is my daughter, my lovely little daughter.” Wolftooth Di-Bone’s voice became much gentler after seeing the figure in the image.

Though to Angel, the old Tooth Fairy in the image didn’t seem to have any relation to ”little.” But Wolftooth Di-Bone clearly didn’t think so, speaking with a tone of affection.

The festive old Tooth Fairy looked outside the image with a smile, as if she could see Wolftooth Di-Bone: ”Dad, Little Note invited me to the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom. I’ll be studying in the library of the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom for a while. If you want to find me, let Little Scale send you to the City of Hot Gold’s branch, and I’ll come as soon as I receive the message.”

”Remember, make sure Little Scale sends you, don’t be stubborn. If you don’t bring Little Scale, I won’t see you.”

Once the words were finished, the image slowly dissipated and disappeared.

This image was obviously pre-recorded and stored in the staff, and as long as Wolftooth Di-Bone carried the staff, he could activate the image at any time.

”See, I told you I know where my daughter is, she’s in the City of Hot Gold!” Wolftooth Di-Bone said proudly.

Glaipnir sighed and reminded him, ”It’s the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom.”

Wolftooth Di-Bone was taken aback, played the image again, confirmed that Dragon Fang. Tone said ”Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom,” and only then did he realize.

”Right, it’s the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom. That’s what I meant to say just now,” Wolftooth Di-Bone said spiritedly. ”Let’s go, we’re heading to the Hundred-Dragon Divine Kingdom!”

Glaipnir covered his forehead: ”We need to go to the City of Hot Gold first.”

Wolftooth Di-Bone’s eyes filled with question marks, clearly not fully comprehending again.

Glaipnir didn’t continue explaining to Wolftooth Di-Bone, instead, he turned to Laplace: ”Dragon Fang. Tone’s words seem to suggest Wolftooth Di-Bone should bring Shary. Scale with him, should he do that?”

The ”Little Scale, Little Note” in Dragon Fang. Tone’s words refer to Tooth Fairies that Wolftooth Di-Bone nurtured in his later years, essentially his students. Named Shary. Scale and Snake Fang. Note.

Now, these two Tooth Fairies have become key pillars of the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy, possessing considerable strength.

If Wolftooth Di-Bone went alone to the City of Hot Gold, it’s probable he wouldn’t even pass through the Immortal Mirror Sea, but with Shary. Scale’s assistance, entering the City of Hot Gold wouldn’t be an issue.

This is why Dragon Fang. Tone repeatedly reminded that Wolftooth Di-Bone must bring Little Scale when seeking him out.

Glaipnir paused for a moment, then said: ”I personally suggest bringing Shary. Scale.”

It’s not that they’re worried Dragon Fang. Tone wouldn’t meet his old dad, but since they have something to ask of Dragon Fang. Tone, it’s best to follow his rules. It’s unnecessary to cause any dissatisfaction over such a small matter.

However, contrary to Glaipnir, Wolftooth Di-Bone didn’t want to bring along Little Scale and kept persuading Glaipnir otherwise.

Glaipnir remained silent, leaving the decision to Laplace.

Laplace was silent for a moment: ”I don’t mind.”

After saying that, Laplace looked at Angel.

Obviously, Laplace was handing the decision over to Angel.

Wolftooth Di-Bone also looked at Angel, coughed a couple of times, and said: ”Young human, you don’t know the dangers of life, there are many things you can’t handle, listen to me...”

Angel didn’t finish listening to Wolftooth Di-Bone’s lecture, directly addressing Glaipnir: ”Take them.”

Wolftooth Di-Bone was a bit anxious, wanting to say something when Glaipnir cut him off: ”Alright.”

Although it was decided to bring Shary. Scale, not all of them need to go together.

Glaipnir will go to the Ancient Ruins of Tooth Fairy alone to find Shary. Scale.

Meanwhile, they would head to the City of Hot Gold first and meet up there in the end.

...

Glaipnir, disregarding Wolftooth Di-Bone’s attempts to keep him from leaving, departed the corridor to seek Little Scale.

The others continued their journey.

However, this time, Wolftooth Di-Bone didn’t chatter incessantly with everyone, clearly still upset, just muttering under his breath things like ”I’m not old yet” and ”I can do it alone”.

Laplace stayed silent, and Angel didn’t pay any attention.

At this moment, Angel was actually more focused on thinking about the ”City of Hot Gold,” or more precisely, the human who had forgotten the past residing in the City of Hot Gold—Yagluo.

Angel had previously promised Reeves that if he had the chance, he would help contact Yagluo and ask if he would like to meet his older sister, Grandma Yitai.

Angel’s initial thought was to wait for a future opportunity to visit the City of Hot Gold or wait until Yagluo entered the Crystal Origin of Dreams himself before reaching out to him.

After all, he had already given the Log-in Device to Yagluo.

But unexpectedly, the opportunity came so soon. Yagluo hadn’t even logged into the Crystal Origin of Dreams, and he was going to the City of Hot Gold again.
