Chapter 2228: Chapter 2229: Forbidden Peak

In the great hall shrouded in mist.

Gentle Breeze Uranus did not sit on the high throne but instead summoned a cloud within the hall, shaping it with the wind to form a soft and fluffy cloud cushion, sitting cross-legged on it.

Angel also sat on the cloud cushion, directly opposite Gentle Breeze Uranus.

As they sat down and were about to speak, they saw Dangross, originally hanging on the Blood Night Shelter, flip over and jump onto the cloud cushion.

Initially, Dangross only felt tired of hanging and wanted a more relaxed position, but upon landing, it found the cushion soft and bouncy, instantly forgetting its original intent and treating the cloud cushion like a trampoline.

Upon witnessing this scene, Angel had black lines forming on his forehead.

After bouncing for a while, Dangross felt Angel’s icy glare sweeping over, realizing it was being too conspicuous. It silently retreated behind Angel, but even then, it didn’t stop playing with the cushion, bouncing up and down.

Moreover, Dangross wasn’t content playing alone; it subtly gestured to Toby, sitting on Angel’s shoulder, encouraging Toby to join in.

However, Toby didn’t even glance at Dangross, completely uninterested in the cloud cushion. After all, unlike Dangross, who was unrefined, Toby had grown up pampered by Greya. Soft trampolines were something he’d had enough of as a fledgling.

Without a response from Toby, Dangross was somewhat disappointed, and even its enthusiasm for the cloud cushion waned.

Gentle Breeze Uranus watched the scene with a smile, finally fixing his gaze on Dangross and Toby, contemplating something.

”Dangross is still in its elf phase, a bit childish,” Angel thought for a moment and spoke.

Since Dangross was someone he brought along, Angel felt a bit embarrassed about its immature behavior.

Gentle Breeze Uranus wasn’t bothered by Dangross’s antics but said, ”Dangross... so it is that Dangross.”

Dangross looked over curiously, with a gleam in its eyes, ”Has Your Highness heard of my name?”

Gentle Breeze Uranus nodded, ”I heard of a Fire Element Elf born from the ashes of Kalomchis, named Dangross.”

The Sage sitting below Gentle Breeze Uranus, also spoke, ”Given its connection to a former common ruler, the name Dangross has been heard throughout most of the Tidal Realm, carried on the winds.”

Hearing this, Dangross felt quite proud and threw Angel a look, the meaning clear: See? I’m someone of great destiny, you got lucky bringing me along.

While Dangross was basking in its self-satisfaction, it didn’t notice that neither Gentle Breeze Uranus nor The Sage showed much emotional change when mentioning Dangross. Instead, their eyes wavered significantly when they mentioned ”Kalomchis” and ”former common ruler,” turning their gaze directly to Toby.

Whether Dangross and Kalomchis were related, they didn’t know. However, Toby’s appearance had once been exactly like Kalomchis, naturally drawing the attention of Gentle Breeze Uranus and The Sage.

”Might I ask...” Gentle Breeze Uranus pointed to Toby, ”what is your name?”

”It’s called Toby, my companion.”

”So it’s called Toby. Earlier, I saw Toby transform into a massive flame creature, similar to the Kalomchis in records.” Gentle Breeze Uranus didn’t beat around the bush but asked directly, ”What is Toby’s relation to Kalomchis?”

”As far as I know, Kalomchis was a Flame Gryphon. Toby also has a Flame Gryphon form.” Angel paused, ”To my knowledge, there’s no direct connection between them, the only link being they both came from the human world.”

Gentle Breeze Uranus nodded; earlier, he thought Toby might be a descendant of Kalomchis, but it now seemed like they were just of the same clan.

Even if Angel said there was no link between Kalomchis and Toby, the fact that Flame Gryphons appeared twice when humans arrived in the Tidal Realm still made Gentle Breeze Uranus doubt the absolute lack of connection. Perhaps, as Mr. Feng often mentioned, this was fate or divine intervention?

Using the topic of Toby as a starting point, they finally moved on to the main subject.

Angel briefly shared his identity and some of his experiences in the Tidal Realm. He also presented the refined theatrical shadow box.

Due to the shadow box’s extensive content, which linked the human world, visions of the Tidal Realm’s future, and Mr. Magu’s proposals, it was quite complex. Though Gentle Breeze Uranus and The Sage quickly reviewed it, causing unimaginable waves in their minds, this was just on the surface. Delving deeper and reflecting more on the shadow box’s content would require more time.

Thus, seeing the shadow box, a complex expression flashed in Gentle Breeze Uranus’s eyes, and solemnly he said, ”The revelations in the Illusionary Realm are incredibly striking. Although Mr. Feng had mentioned such possibilities to me before, I never thought this day would actually come. My emotions are still hard to calm; I need to consult with Master Kamil before giving a response.”

Gentle Breeze Uranus’s voice trembled slightly, betraying the intensely complicated emotions he was trying to suppress.

”Of course.” Angel paused, taking out another set of the theatrical shadow box, which was intended for Green Field, hoping it could be passed on by White Cloud Village, given their close relationship.

Gentle Breeze Uranus didn’t refuse; even without Angel’s suggestion, he needed to consult Prosperity Grimer of Green Field. After all, the shadow box’s contents didn’t just concern wind element creatures but heralded a major transformation for all elemental beings in the Tidal Realm.

Having completed all this, Angel wanted to inquire about matters regarding Mr. Feng.

Specifically, he was intensely curious about Mr. Feng’s arrangements in the Tidal Realm.

But before Angel could ask much, he noticed Gentle Breeze Uranus frequently glancing towards the shadow box, indicating his mind was elsewhere.

Angel sighed; he had expected that the shadow box’s content might upset Gentle Breeze Uranus. But he handed over the shadow box first, as many answers required a background understanding on Gentle Breeze Uranus’s part. The theatrical shadow box was a means to explain that background.

Initially, Angel thought that since Gentle Breeze Uranus was trained by Mr. Feng, he might take things better. He did not expect such emotional fluctuations.

Given the circumstances, seeking information about Mr. Feng was evidently inappropriate now.

All he could do was reluctantly pause the conversation for the time being.

Although Feng’s matter can be put aside for now, Arnott’s issue still needs to be resolved early.

Immediately afterward, Angel briefly explained Arnott’s situation, including how he encountered it, why it was confined in the cage, and finally handed a glowing golden sand to Gentle Breeze Uranus.

Gentle Breeze Uranus received the golden sand, gently tapped it and placed it on his forehead.

After a while, Gentle Breeze Uranus put down the golden sand and said to Angel: ”Sage Cuproplatinum has already informed me of Arnott’s situation and punishment, it’s really troublesome for Mr. Pat, traveling thousands of miles to bring it back from Baya Desert.”

While saying this, Gentle Breeze Uranus glanced at Arnott, who was still sobbing and secretly looking at him with hopeful eyes inside the yellow sand cage.

Sighing, Gentle Breeze Uranus said: ”The rules of Baya Desert have always been strict. This time you were lucky to meet Mr. Pat. Because of this connection, you didn’t receive a severe punishment; otherwise, you would surely be captured by His Highness Sandstorm and locked in the sand cage for decades to redeem yourself.”

Arnott hung his head lower: ”...I, I just wanted to find my sister.”

”With no preparation, what do you have to search for Salmado?” Gentle Breeze Uranus: ”Salmado had been preparing for years on Wind Island and researched a lot before starting the pursuit far away. You ventured out recklessly, and you’ll never find your sister.”

At this moment, Arnott didn’t retort, just silently shedding tears.

”Although Sage Cuproplatinum didn’t make things difficult for you, trespassing into Baya Desert not only harms yourself but also the reputation of White Cloud Village, so you must face some punishment.” Gentle Breeze Uranus initially planned to confine Arnott for a few years to settle him, but seeing Arnott looking so aggrieved, he ultimately refrained from being too harsh: ”Just stay in this cage until you contemplate, then I’ll let you out.”

It seems Gentle Breeze Uranus didn’t show leniency, but in fact, after leaving Baya Desert, maintaining the yellow sand cage permanently is difficult. It can only be sustained for half a month or a month at most, by which time, without Gentle Breeze Uranus intervening, the cage will break on its own.

Thus, this is actually a very mild punishment.

After finishing talking about Arnott, Gentle Breeze Uranus looked at Angel: ”Sage Cuproplatinum not only spoke about Arnott’s situation, but also his thoughts on the Shadow Box... finally mentioning something about Mr. Pat, heard you have been searching for Mr. Feng’s deeds?”

Angel was taken aback. He initially planned to ask a few days later, but didn’t expect Sage Cuproplatinum to give Gentle Breeze Uranus a heads-up with golden sand.

”Yes,” Angel nodded in acknowledgment, ”but there’s no rush, Your Highness can let me know later.”

Gentle Breeze Uranus’s eyes flashed with gratitude: ”The Shadow Box you brought gives me a tremendous shock, I indeed need time to think. Here’s the plan: I’ll give you an answer the day after tomorrow and also inform you of Mr. Feng’s matters then.”

As Gentle Breeze Uranus was already impatient to look at the Shadow Box again, Angel temporarily took his leave.

When Angel left the palace, he also took Arnott along. According to Gentle Breeze Uranus’s suggestion, since Arnott was confined in the cage without anything else to do, he might as well be used to guide Angel, introducing Wind Island’s situation. Luckily, Arnott and Angel were relatively familiar with each other.

After leaving the palace, Angel met Sage Kamil at the corridor’s edge.

It seemed to be another avatar.

Kamil slightly bowed: ”Where does Mr. Pat plan to go next?”

Angel: ”No plans for now, do you have any advisement, Mr. Kamil?”

Kamil turned around, pointing southeast to Wind Island: ”There is White Sea Bay, where His Highness earlier placed all captured wind-element creatures.”

After a pause, Kamil pointed north to a solitary small peak: ”This mountain doesn’t have a name, but all the wind-element creatures on Wind Island call it Forbidden Peak because it’s considered a forbidden zone.”

Angel: ”So, Mr. Kamil specifically informs me not to approach that mountain?”

Kamil shook his head: ”Not at all, it is also open to Mr. Pat. The reason it is forbidden is that Gentle Breeze deliberately set it that way, because during the Cataclysm Era, Mr. Feng lived there. His Highness knows you want to pursue Mr. Feng’s deeds, hence decided to open the mountain to you.”

In short, Kamil came here merely to give Angel more options — whether to visit White Sea Bay to see the captives, or visit the mountain where Mr. Feng used to reside, or let Arnott guide him through Wind Island?

Angel thought for a moment and decided to visit the mountain where Feng used to live.

The wind-element creatures at White Sea Bay have already signed a covenant and are temporarily unable to leave... Moreover, Angel currently doesn’t need them. Their greatest purpose will be served when the wizards of Barbarian Cave infiltrate the Tidal World later.

So Angel decided to visit them later, giving them time to adapt to their new identity.

After making the decision, Kamil added: ”Moreover, Hurricane wants to visit his former subordinates at White Sea Bay. His Highness didn’t agree and asked me to pass on the message to you.”

Due to Gentle Breeze Uranus’s request, Hurricane is the only wind-element creature that hasn’t signed the Ding Yuan Mo Ke covenant and is currently confined in a small bottle. Part of the reason Hurricane agreed to be sealed in the bottle was hoping to let go of his subordinates. Knowing they are temporarily fine and arranged in White Sea Bay, he now hopes to meet them.

Angel didn’t immediately respond but asked: ”What does Gentle Breeze Uranus plan to do with Hurricane?”

Kamil hesitated and said: ”Not certain yet, it needs discussion with Storm Ridge’s Gale Huborio before making a decision.”

Despite the conversation, with Gentle Breeze Uranus’s Holy Mother-like personality, Angel roughly deduced Hurricane would eventually return to Storm Ridge.

Angel considered for a moment: ”Don’t rush their meeting yet. During this period, let Hurricane be with Gentle Breeze Uranus and learn about the Shadow Box content. When the time comes, they’ll have a chance to meet.”

Although Angel didn’t hold the captives at White Sea Bay in high regard, Hurricane remaining their former superior still holds substantial influence in his words.

To prevent them being influenced by Hurricane’s words, Angel decided to keep Hurricane isolated from them for a while longer. Nonetheless, if they are to work wholeheartedly for him within twenty years, they eventually must meet Hurricane.

Hence, Angel arranged for Hurricane to understand the future changes in Tidal World, making him realize the chaotic era of small skirmishes in Tidal World is ending, saying no more petty internal strife. It’s better to persuade his subordinates to focus on laying the foundation for the next twenty years, benefiting himself, Storm Ridge, and Tidal World.

Kamil also understood Angel’s intention and smiled, nodding: ”Alright, I’ll let His Highness know.”
