Chapter 2205: Chapter 2206: Flora’s State of Mind

Flora naturally remembered that when Sanders found them, he mentioned that Angel’s Nightmare Realm was far larger than Sumishe’s Abyss of Magic.

But, such a real world, with even ”magic power” present in the air, is this really a Nightmare Realm?

Although Flora’s heart was full of doubt, this doubt was quickly suppressed because Sanders had arrived.

”This is Pat Manor. Yes, you heard right, it is Angel’s family manor. The reason Pat Manor appears in this world...” Sanders walked over from the castle within the manor and spoke slowly while looking at Flora and Sumishe’s dreamlike expressions.

From the construction of the Wilderness of Dreams to the legendary resurgence of the most useless mysterious object, Sanders explained everything.

Though not in depth, it was enough for them to fill in the details with their imagination.

Sanders explained as he led them out of Pat Manor.

By the time they reached the manor’s gate, Sanders had finished his extremely brief summary.

After hearing this scenario, which was almost comparable to a fantasy novel, Flora and Sumishe were left only with life-doubting shock on their faces.

”I’ll stop here for now. You will slowly understand more specific details in the future.” To explain the situation of the Wilderness of Dreams in great detail and cover every aspect would take at least three days and nights. Sanders was not an explainer, nor did he plan to waste his time here.

”If you want to understand the Wilderness of Dreams faster, you can go to the Sky Tower and find Frode. He has the most detailed research on the Wilderness of Dreams. However, before finding Frode, I suggest you first experience life here. This will give you a deeper understanding of this world... Especially Sumishe, as you will need to handle authority in the future, you must first understand the rules of this world.”

Even though Sumishe still didn’t understand many things, he nodded seriously when Sanders mentioned him: ”I understand.”

”That’s all for now. You can arrange your own time from here on out.” With that, Sanders prepared to leave them to explore on their own.

Although Flora was still in a bewildered state, she was somewhat aware of the situation outside. Seeing Sanders walking farther away, she quickly called out: ”Mentor!”

Sanders stopped in his tracks. His expression was calm, but there was a faint trace of impatience in his eyes.

”I want to ask, is this really, truly created by Angel?” Flora asked, ”How can he bear the burden of such a high-level Nightmare Realm with his strength?”

Sumishe also showed interest, as he himself had a Nightmare Realm, so he knew very well that a Nightmare Realm was not something that could be easily managed.

Back then, Angel could only handle a Luxury Nightmare Realm the size of a hall, and even so, Sumishe was a bit surprised when he heard about it.

Now, how could Angel manage such an enormous Nightmare Realm on a world scale, far surpassing the Sleepless City’s Nightmare Realm by countless times?

”I can confirm that this is indeed Angel’s Nightmare Realm. As for how it was created and sustained, it has to do with his physique,” Sanders replied flatly.

”Even so, can he really manage such a Nightmare Realm’s Principal Body?” Flora was still skeptical.

Sanders: ”Angel doesn’t need to fully sustain this entire Nightmare Realm; he only needs to bear the most core authority. Otherwise, do you think Sumishe would have the opportunity to bear authority?”

Flora: ”Even with the core authority, there’s no way Angel’s power could sustain it, right?”

Sanders: ”Angel has already become an Official Wizard.”

Flora: ”But, Angel...”

”Enough.” Sanders interrupted Flora, understanding her nature too well. Although she seemed to be questioning reasonably, it was merely a psychological imbalance.

To Flora, Angel was just a beginner. She witnessed Angel when he was still a weak mortal, so when she found out that Angel had suddenly changed and his actions reached an unattainable height, her feelings were complex and unbalanced.

Surface-level inquiries like: why, and on what grounds.

But deep down, it meant: unfair, unreasonable.

These were all that Flora’s mind was occupied with at the moment.

On the other hand, Sumishe, having had little contact with Angel and only occasionally hearing about his exploits, was more accepting of Angel’s achievements. After all, when he first heard of Angel, he was already said to have dabbled in the mysterious realm of alchemy, starting at such a high point. Reaching such heights later, though surprising, seemed logical.

Such is the nature of distance, bringing the unknown, and such unknowns are elusive. To Sumishe, Angel was just such an unpredictable variable. But Flora and Angel were too close, Angel’s trajectory too clear, which instead triggered her jealousy.

Sanders stared quietly at Flora, his gaze like a piercing sword stabbing straight into the dark corners of Flora’s heart, exposing the chaotic emotions to the light.

Flora noticed her emotional loss of control under Sanders’ gaze pressure, and her face turned pale, stepping back subconsciously.

”Hold still.” Sanders’ tone carried a commanding firmness.

Flora immediately stopped her retreat.

”Previously, even in the toughest times, you persisted in researching the Blood Fusion Virus, leading me to believe you were ready to embark on the path of true knowledge. Yet now it seems you aren’t,” Sanders said coldly, ”Using uncontrolled emotions to avoid the truth, placing your superiority above truth—just this alone makes it hard for you to achieve transcendence.”

”I...” Flora suddenly found herself at a loss for words.

Sanders: ”Comparing yourself to Angel or anyone else is meaningless for you. It’s best for you to recognize your own inner self soon, or even if you step on the path of true knowledge, hidden dangers beneath the surface will still hinder your progress.”

Having said that, Sanders turned and left without hesitation.

Flora, on the other hand, was left in a daze.

Sanders’ words weren’t kindly advice, but rational words that shattered Flora’s subconscious superiority hidden deep within her sea of awareness.

This breach of emotional defenses left Flora faintly at a loss, even affecting her physical strength, rendering her momentarily unable to stand firmly, eventually needing to lean against the gate of Pat Manor for support.

Beside her, Sumishe sighed deeply and walked to Flora’s side: ”The mentor wasn’t wrong.”

Flora, after several minutes of distraction, gave a bitter smile: ”I understand.”

”Remember, no matter what, Angel is part of our Illusion Demon Island lineage. His success only benefits us. It’s okay to understand in depth, but there’s no need for doubt,” Sumishe patted her shoulder, ”We prosper together and we suffer together.”

Flora understood this reasoning too, but long-standing accumulated emotions triggered her subconscious resentment. Now that Sanders pointed it out, she realized her loss of propriety. However, Sanders’ bluntness, while waking her up, also left her slightly uncomfortable.

Taking a deep breath, Flora suppresses the hint of emotion, nodding lightly to Sumishe.

Sumishe: ”Come on, let’s explore this new world.”

...

Sumishe and Nya both prepared with a heart full of exploration to see this new world.

But before they could see this new world, they were captured as recruits.

”Oh, Nya? And Su... Your Excellency The Facade! You actually came in too?” Just as Nya and Sumishe were about to part ways to explore on their own, a joyful voice came from not far away.

”Of course, you both belong to Illusion Demon Island, if Illusion Demon found you, he definitely would let you in.”

Accompanied by a burst of rose fragrance, a figure walked over and affectionately looped her arm around Nya’s.

Nya turned her head and saw that the newcomer was her friend, ”Rose Crown” Lianna.

Nya’s eyes lit up with joy, just as she was about to say something, Lianna hurriedly pulled Nya away: ”Don’t talk about anything else right now, you just happened to arrive, come with me to New City first...”

Nya was involuntarily pulled away by Lianna, after walking a few steps, Lianna noticed Sumishe still standing in place and quickly called out: ”Your Excellency The Facade, come along, later I’ll brew tea made from the finest Demon Plant for you!”

With one pulling and one coaxing, Lianna successfully tricked Sumishe and Nya onto the flying boat heading to New City.

On the flying boat—

”We just arrived, haven’t had a chance to look around this city, and you dragged us away.” Nya leaned against the window of the flying boat, looking at the bustling city below, her expression a bit lonely.

Lianna held Nya’s hand and said: ”What’s there to see in Originheart City? The city planning is like child’s play, sustainable resources haven’t kept up, if it weren’t the first city in the Wilderness of Dreams, backed by powerful support, it wouldn’t thrive. Still, going to New City is better, it’s the most extraordinary city I’ve seen... although not yet completed, it’s much more interesting than Originheart City.”

Lianna spoke of New City with enthusiasm, her face full of longing.

”What is New City?” Lianna’s description aroused Nya’s curiosity.

”It’s the Extraordinary City of the Wilderness of Dreams, and also the venue for an upcoming Tea Party. You’ll know what I mean soon.” Lianna gave Nya a knowing look.

Nya understood that Lianna was deliberately keeping them in suspense, creating intrigue. It didn’t matter, as they were heading to New City now anyway.

Lianna: ”By the way, where have you been? Illusion Demon went out of his way to find you, but you weren’t online for a long time.”

”Online?” Nya was puzzled for a moment.

”It means entering the Wilderness of Dreams. People often say this in the tree group, I find it quite fitting.”

Nya nodded thoughtfully in understanding, then under Lianna’s urging, briefly recounted their recent happenings, except for the damage to Sumishe’s Nightmare Realm.

”Investigating the blood virus came across the Red Plague believers and God’s Chosen? The Bishop of the Heretical Judgment Hall? You really are unlucky.” Lianna said sympathetically, ”If you need help, I’ll find people for you.”

Nya: ”Fortunately, the Mentor arrived, everything is safe now.”

Lianna: ”That’s good. Anyway, if you need to find anyone, simply come online anytime.”

Lianna smirked: ”Speaking of which, the Wilderness of Dreams is really convenient, we can chat here despite being far apart, and even offer mutual aid at any time... I must say, Angel is indeed a genius, designing such a groundbreaking masterpiece, I can’t wait to see the world’s reaction when the Wilderness of Dreams emerges.”

Nya’s lips moved, finally nodding in agreement: ”Yes, he is the pride of Illusion Demon Island.”

Beside, Sumishe heard Nya’s words, his face showing a faint smile.

Lianna didn’t know the intricacies and continued to lavish Angel with praise.

Eventually, Sumishe interrupted: ”Our understanding of the Wilderness of Dreams is still limited, Mentor wanted us to experience it ourselves, but you dragged us onto the flying boat... since we’re already here, why don’t you tell us more, including New City you mentioned, and this tree group, tell us about them?”

Lianna pondered for a moment, she brought Nya and Sumishe onto the flying boat to recruit helpers for building New City, interrupting their understanding process of the world, so it made sense for her to explain. Moreover, there wasn’t much else to do on the flying boat, opening their eyes and watching their surprised expressions was a rare pleasure.

With this in mind, Lianna nodded: ”Since Your Excellency The Facade asked, how could I refuse?”

Sumishe: ”... Just call me by my name.”

Lianna smiled: ”You’ve now entered True Knowledge, addressing you this way is out of respect. Back to the topic, I’ll start with the cities in the Wilderness of Dreams...”

...

As the two newcomers opened the door to the new world, in reality, Angel’s flying boat had reached the border region of Baya Desert.

The loose desert sands gradually consolidated, and the ground became relatively solid.

As Angel observed the changes in the terrain, the Sand Hawk flying ahead suddenly screeched: ”Not following the rules His Highness set, since I’ve encountered you, I must take you down!”

As soon as the words fell, the Sand Hawk turned into a yellow sand arrow, rushing straight ahead.

Angel was drawn to the movement of the Sand Hawk, unsure of what it was referring to, he looked forward in curiosity.

In the distance, the Sand Hawk transformed into dust, wrapped in a storm.

Dark sand scattered in all directions.

”This scene looks somewhat familiar.” Angel watched the sweeping sands, reminding him of the time he entered Baya Desert and encountered the Wind Sand Brigade. At that time, the sky was covered in sand, obscuring visibility, similar to the scene before him.

Bringing that past situation into the present, and recalling the Sand Hawk’s previous shout, Angel seemed to understand the current situation.

It must be a wind-type creature intruding into Baya Desert, entering alone, flying in the air, violating the no-fly rule set by the Sandstorm rules, and getting bumped by the Sand Hawk.

Currently, the Sand Hawk is engaged in a battle with the wind-type creature.

Angel believed that since White Cloud Village bordered Baya Desert, they surely knew the rules here and wouldn’t rashly intrude.

So what’s with this wind-type creature that broke in?

Seeking some thrill from being compulsively reckless, or is it yet another naïve daredevil?
