Three Towers Game

Chapter 1540: Chapter 494: Rule-Free Fighting Tournament (Part 3)

Therefore, this place is the last dance for many ”people”.

Wen Xishu finally arrived at the contestants’ preparation area.

This was the final destination of Old Yan’s escort journey.

”Your number is 994, I can only accompany you up to here, inside I can’t go, because only participants can enter inside, hearing your number means you are going to battle.”

”Besides, thank you for coming here, at this moment, you are already fighting for your life. Don’t chat with the people inside, don’t reveal too much information.”

”There are people inside who will try to get you to talk, trying to find out your weaknesses. Because there are jamming devices inside, no one can probe each other, nor can they invade. So only verbal communication is possible.”

”Ah... I talked too much, actually, you are very smart, I should be going now.”

Old Yan was a bit excited.

He rarely let himself get this emotionally stirred.

He felt everything today was too fast, so fast it was unbelievable.

Wen Xishu agreed to this, just like a fool, came to this place where the mortality rate is nearly one hundred percent.

Those who manage to survive here are basically Mammon’s lackeys.

But he came, just so peacefully, he agreed.

If Wen Xishu dies...

Maybe the dream of becoming human again should also shatter.

He always felt that Wen Xishu was smart, looking at his calm demeanor, at his eyes...

But again, he wondered, why is this kid so reckless?

He didn’t even dare to watch Wen Xishu’s match, so when saying goodbye, he was emotionally stirred, his voice trembling slightly.

Wen Xishu just smiled:

”Remember to bet on me winning, guarantee profit.”

Is it arrogance? Is it ignorance? Or does he have strong means?

Old Yan couldn’t tell.

...

...

The contestants’ resting area is inside segments of railway cars, formed by piecing together abandoned vehicles.

Wen Xishu’s figure looked rather frail.

Either it’s the most dilapidated skeletal mechanical body, or it’s... the highest spec humanoid mechanical body.

Inside the car where Wen Xishu was, were all contestants about to participate, and each car had contestants from the same competition zone.

In other words, next, his opponents were in this car.

Wen Xishu quickly noticed a mechanical body.

It was a ”samurai”, completely red, with an Island Country style, with the words ”Red Armor” written on it. Painted with red Island Country general graffiti.

At his waist, equipped with a mechanical tachi.

His design was relatively brawny, but it was clear to the eye that this was a humanoid mech.

Just chose the kind of brawny muscle man humanoid mech.

The red armor was actually just the shell.

”Hey, that guy over there in the black cloak, I’m under Mammon, you understand what this means, right?”

Inside the car, only Wen Xishu was wearing a black cloak.

Wen Xishu didn’t look up.

”Damn it, talking to you, are you some Lower City District junk? Can’t show human reactions?”

”Take off your cloak for me, I want to see your true mechanical body form.”

A huge mechanical body, apparently piled up with various weapons, kindly reminded Wen Xishu:

”You’d better listen to him, he will spare your life when he defeats you, we... are very unlucky.”

Mammon’s logo is a standard mechanical coin.

Ordinary mechanical bodies don’t dare to print this logo on their bodies. And this red samurai had such a logo on him.

Before Wen Xishu came in, it had already gathered the weaknesses of all the other mechanical bodies in the same car.

The other mechanical bodies in the car, seeing a mechanical body with Mammon’s logo, could only resign themselves to bad luck.

Wen Xishu certainly didn’t take off the cloak, he just pretended to malfunction and said:

”I... I... cloak... is, is part of the mechanical body.”

Wen Xishu tilted his head, deliberately creating a stiffness only seen when doing the mechanical dance.

”Hah, turns out it’s garbage, looks like something’s been pawned off, now like an idiot, hahaha...”

The red samurai laughed.

Openly showing his ridicule.

This expression of ridicule was unique to human behavior, a behavior non-humanoid mechanical bodies wouldn’t even dare to do.

Wen Xishu slightly lowered his head, seemingly a bit self-conscious, as if accepting the fate of being scrapped.

Fortunately, senses between mechanical bodies in the car were jammed, again to prevent any mechanical body from transmitting Mammon’s intelligence.

Wen Xishu lowered his head to a seemingly drugged high angle, after all, he is now Mechanical Race, naturally can do to such an extent.

But in the eyes of the red samurai, it seemed even funnier. Of course, he was aware that those bottom-tier mechanical bodies liked using addictive stuff to alleviate mechanical depression.

Wen Xishu remained silent, just hoping to achieve twenty-four victories in the shortest time.

...

...

The battles between mechs are quick, rarely stalemating, some matches are decided instantaneously.

For example — invasion, lock.

Of course, some mechanical bodies, to prevent invasion, would do actions similar to Betou Chief’s, exploding themselves once invaded.

But audiences love watching this mutual destruction.

Soon, at the center of the gigantic arena, a huge phone-shaped Mechanical Race mechanical body flying in the sky began to shout:

”Now, it’s our eight-win General, Red Armor Pill’s turn!”

This mechanical body, though odd in shape, like an old styled landline phone, excelled at energizing the atmosphere as a host.

The audiences clearly cheered up.

Inside the car, the red samurai mechanical body said:

”Let’s see who’ll be the unlucky one among you.”

At the arena, the host soon started announcing the samurai’s opponent.

”And our Challenger, wow, a newcomer, 0 wins, we don’t even know his name, only his number 994, alright, can number 994 defeat the currently twenty-five points scoring, consecutively winning eight times Red Armor Pill!”

”Now, you all have three minutes to place your bets.”

During the three minutes, ads poured out from inside this host’s microphone body.

He is a microphone after all, loud enough sound, even with the audience collectively cheering, chanting ”Red Armor! Red Armor!” slogans, they could still hear every word from the ads.

Wen Xishu had no intention to listen to the ads, he simply got up calmly, walked to Red Armor Pill’s side.

Red Armor Pill suddenly got a bit bewildered because this black cloak mechanical body’s steps...so natural, natural enough, seeming like a human.
