Three Towers Game

Chapter 1535: Chapter 493: Heading to the Underground Mecha Combat Tournament

Finally, acquiring a brand-new Mechanical Body, Wen Xishu felt as if even the air in the Mechanical City was fragrant at this moment.

What Wen Xishu needs now, however, is not purely a powerful mecha; he needs a ”human-like simulation.”

The core of human-like simulation lies in retrieving things from when he was human.

For example — the Sequence.

With a ninety percent compatibility rate, coupled with the original capabilities of Daedalus, Wen Xishu has basically regained his original Sequence Power.

It’s just regrettable that those items still can’t be used. It seems only by becoming a pure human can he use the item slot.

And now, having become part of the Mechanical Race, even though incredibly close to being human, he is not human.

Being able to use the Sequence, in a sense, is the ability of Daedalus, rather than this body being highly compatible with him.

”I must find a way to become a real human, and quickly.”

Time is very pressing; otherwise, Wen Xishu might face a problem —

Like Deceit Five from Three Towers Corporation, saved indeed, but permanently erased by rules due to exceeding the seven-day limit.

Wen Xishu isn’t human now and naturally can’t return to the Bunker. If he manages to become human but finds out he’s timed out...

It seems the outcome won’t be good.

...

...

One of the Rusted One’s strongholds is at the repair station in the Lower City District.

This is the place Old Yan told Wen Xishu about, rc-19, a member of the Mechanical Race who remembers his name as Yan Zhengji.

Introducing oneself with a human name clearly shows some ideas in this person’s heart.

Outside the repair station in the Lower City District is an extremely chaotic place.

Here you can see many D-level, C-level mechas, lying on the ground like bodies, but occasionally they twitch.

Working requires a fee, money from pawning memories can naturally be used for work, but often various fines are paid during the process.

Causing many bodies to work for a short time before having to be dismissed.

The dismissal here certainly doesn’t come with n+1, as this place is beyond the reach of labor laws.

The residual human traits within their core remind them not to continue pawning humanity and memories, or they will become ”consumables.”

But severe mechanical depression makes them crave work, yet they are just a bunch who can’t afford the work fee.

So they can only seek cheap, hallucinogenic energy agents to alleviate depression.

This stuff, supposed to be contraband, is allowed by the Upper District due to its ability to make the mechanical life in the Lower District indulge and temporarily overwhelm their humanity with immense pleasure.

Energy agents like those providing pleasure akin to KFC, without side effects, are simply beyond ordinary Mechanical Race consumption, not to mention the average middle class.

Walking here, Wen Xishu felt like entering a dynamic puppet gallery.

He watched the mechanical lives lying on the ground, like broken puppets, but occasionally these puppets would move, twitch, roll, or convulse.

Occasionally, one or two would stand, bodies extremely twisted, torso, limbs, all folding at ninety degrees, appearing extremely bizarre.

Wen Xishu is no longer a common Mechanical Body without a name like ”ts74”; he is ”Xishu.” This proves he is now a high-ranking existence.

A body like his, walking on the streets, inherently attracts attention.

However, Mechanical City differs from the human world; nobles aren’t easily robbed in Mechanical City.

Bodies like Wen Xishu’s are not to be touched, even by those in a hallucinogenic state, for their core warns them this is an extremely dangerous target.

After walking for a while, the distinct features of the Lower City District visibly decreased, and the streets were no longer filled with the stench of hallucinogens and low-quality machine oil.

Gradually, Wen Xishu surprisingly arrived at a relatively clean area.

The repair station in the Lower City District.

The signboard of the repair station is dull during the day, but it appears rather cool at night; nights in Mechanical City have always been a light show.

Currently, it’s daytime, but the repair station is still operating.

”Who are you?” A body numbered ”rc-4478” looked at Wen Xishu with caution.

A body like Wen Xishu’s appearing here indeed seems extremely bizarre.

Like a fully armed general in armor, arriving at a primitive tribe with only leaves to cover critical parts.

The gap between them is even more exaggerated than this.

Wen Xishu alone could destroy the entire Lower City District repair station if he had a reason to do so.

”You are not welcome here; your body, we can’t repair,” rc-4478 stated.

Wen Xishu said:

”I’m looking for Old Yan. Last night, Old Yan gave me an address; I was switching bodies then, so I didn’t come here. Now, I’ve come to fulfill the meeting. I mean no harm. If I did, you’d already be dead.”

rc-4478 was instantly intimidated by the aura Wen Xishu emitted.

This is the kind of intimidation only seen in carbon-based lifeforms, or natural organisms, but he indeed felt this now.

He was intimidated.

”I... I’ll contact him right away.”

Wen Xishu nodded.

The human-like simulation body is indeed impressive; actually, Wen Xishu himself couldn’t carry out ”aura intimidation,” but several options popped directly in the body options.

One of which is ”simulated food chain oppression.” Simply put, it blurs the intimidation of the body’s level value, giving people a feeling of being prey.
