Three Towers Game

Chapter 1501: Chapter 482: Gatekeeper of the Heavenly Court (2)

”You’re quite formidable. Do you know anything else about this plan?” Capricorn gave an extremely pure male evaluation—you’re formidable.

Jin Zhenyuan said:

”Child, shouldn’t you be asking me this question?”

Capricorn, rarely, seemed a bit embarrassed:

”My ability... has made me feel for a long time that I’m destined to not survive in the Twelve Constellations’ fate.”

”I’ve always been traveling, always searching for a place to escape, always avoiding.”

”Which results in me not doing much serious work.”

Jin Zhenyuan nodded. He could understand; after all, Capricorn was just a child.

In his eyes, many strong people in this world are just children.

Jin Zhenyuan said:

”After I arrived in the big world, I began investigating Longxia affairs. I learned that back then, Longxia’s executives were relatively aggressive, thinking they’d controlled that monster. So they decided to use that monster to reclaim the cities above ground.”

”You guessed the outcome; the monster couldn’t be controlled. They thought they had control over it, but they’d only managed to control one of its avatars. That monster absorbed countless individuals, naturally forming countless spirits, using one of them to communicate with Longxia’s leaders, projecting pure goodness.”

”This led to disaster when it was released, with other spirits taking control.”

”A super disaster ensued, although the underground passage wasn’t destroyed much, many people were forcibly devoured and fused.”

”Longxia organized an escape, with several places for refuge, one of which was Wind City.”

Jin Zhenyuan had actually already inquired about Wind City’s affairs; he knew of an interesting ’old acquaintance’ there—Wen Xishu.

Speaking of this, Jin Zhenyuan became interested:

”By the way, I have a question for you.”

Capricorn said:

”I’m just a wanderer; perhaps I can’t answer your question.”

Jin Zhenyuan shook his head:

”No no, you’ll surely answer this one. You know Wind City, right? You definitely know Wen Xishu is there too, correct?”

Capricorn was surprised; how quickly the topic shifted to Wen Xishu.

Of course, he knew this person, as Wen Xishu had grievances with almost every constellation.

Including Capricorn himself.

Capricorn said:

”So, you want to know about Wen Xishu?”

Jin Zhenyuan rarely paused his steps; when mentioning this legendary young man, his interest was clearly strong, making his mood quite good:

”Yes, I’m very curious about him. Is he considered an enemy by your group?”

Capricorn nodded first, then shook his head, showing a complex expression:

”How to put it, he’s not someone easily classified as friend or foe. But indeed, currently, he’s a thorn in Libra’s side.”

”What I know is limited; I only know he’s quite close with Scorpio and Virgin.”

”Aquarius seems to quite dislike him? But it’s limited to dislike, not hatred. Libra, though, truly loathes him.”

”I’m not sure about the big sister; maybe she treats him as a... mercenary?”

Jin Zhenyuan clicked his tongue in admiration:

”Remarkable.”

”So, I’m curious about one thing—why haven’t you tried to kill him?”

Capricorn shook his head:

”Let me tell you this: Wind City is the future gathering place for the Bunker People. But Wind City is special; it’s a birthplace of a time bug.”

”You know the Bunker timeline is actually independent yet related to the Three-Tower Battlefield timeline. They aren’t simple lines defined by ’past and future.’

More so, due to some mysterious rules, the future and past concurrently exist.”

”Because of the Three Towers, Wen Xishu and even the Bunker People have the chance to gain insights into the happenings at the Three-Tower Battlefield.”

”So, your Bunker People—oh, they are unique. They might know the future destiny and deliberately utilize the Three Towers to alter it.”

Jin Zhenyuan understood. His smile grew even brighter now, knowing that due to some mechanism, the old acquaintances wouldn’t be eliminated, providing him some relief.

”To give an example: if you learned on one journey that you’d die in the future from eating a strawberry, what would you do?” Capricorn asked.

Jin Zhenyuan resumed walking, heading toward the seemingly endless labyrinth-like underground tunnels, slightly quicker:

”Naturally, I would exclude strawberries from my diet.”

Capricorn nodded:

”The Bunker People can achieve that; if they foresee dying from some disaster, they will proactively utilize the Three Towers’ trials to enhance resistance, or fundamentally avoid that disaster.”

”Even some Bunker People might obtain our favor, preventing definitive strikes against them.”

”So, dealing with such Bunker People... it’s not crucial to kill their future. Killing their past is most important.”

”Do you understand?”

Jin Zhenyuan kept walking without stopping:

”Thank you for the information, so, is there a way in this world to kill their past?”

Capricorn said:

”Yes, entering the Three Towers is enough, but only my siblings can manage that. For instance, Scorpio, Aries, Pisces, Sagittarius.”

”Back then, many of your people couldn’t reach the seventieth floor because they were killed by Sagittarius.”
