Three Towers Game

Chapter 1511: Chapter 485: Inhuman Tree (Part 2)

”So essentially, you won’t trigger the first direction. You actually only have one path; you can’t join the Non-human Association. You will enter the Non-human Association in the manner of an intruder.”

[This may cause the content of your task in the Non-human Association to completely change.]

Wen Xishu found it interesting.

Mo Bai probably couldn’t hear the guide’s words; after all, one was verbal, the other was visual information.

Yet, the combination of both pieces of information surprisingly felt seamless.

Wen Xishu said:

”Tell me, if I often eat people, I act like a monster, what kind of journey would I embark on?”

[You will receive a task of eating people, to devour certain individuals who might cause you to derive pleasure from the act...]

”Your non-human behavior will be enhanced, the Non-human Association will make you abandon being human. The task isn’t difficult, and the rewards are substantial; it might turn you into a powerful monster, abandoning human traits.”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”Are you all well aware of the Non-human Association?”

[Of course, after all, it’s considered a form of altering tower climbing content with external force, which is related to us.]

”Like the Three Towers company’s ID badge, it also changes tower climbing content, I’ve always been interested in it.”

Wen Xishu further asked:

”What will happen to me?”

[You might start in a non-human form... Then your task process will be extremely difficult. As a human with no monster tendencies, you might get the task to take down the Non-human Association.]

”Remember your first encounter with the company? You were required to complete an interview. Not easy, right? But if asked to wipe out the company? It’d be even harder. You might be mistakenly identified as one of its members. The Non-human Association is like that, you might appear in a non-human form and need to regain your human form to eliminate the Non-human Association.”

Understood.

Old Zheng’s monster-style tower climbing would turn him into a powerful monster.

If it’s human-style tower climbing, you’d need to immerse yourself to eliminate the Non-human Association.

Undoubtedly, the latter is much harder.

Mo Bai’s example is fitting; the task is no longer to interview for the Three Towers company employee but to destroy the company from within as an employee.

Wen Xishu found it interesting.

”I want to try.”

[You... better think carefully. Well, the Non-human Association is really cult-like.]

”Foolish, don’t do foolish things; Weary 5, being a monster isn’t your track. What you should do is constantly dismantle obsessions.”

[Oh dear, I suggest you destroy this thing.]

”I don’t have much time left; you’d better destroy it.”

Wen Xishu asked:

”In the Three Towers, is it that the higher the risk, the greater the return?”

[Indeed... it is.]

”That’s true.”

Wen Xishu said:

”Alright, thank you for the reminder, the service is so considerate. I feel this might be an opportunity for me to deeply understand Taurus; I don’t want to waste it. The Twelve Constellations, I can’t just play with those aligned with my tendencies.”

The guide and Mo Bai didn’t send any messages.

It seems both have figured out what kind of person Wen Xishu really is.

All they could do was accept it.

Gradually, sounds surrounded him.

Wen Xishu also began seriously tackling the tasks.

This time, the task introduction went like this.

[Are you tired of being human? You’ve indeed discovered that humans are very strange beings. They claim to be the masters of all things, but they set gods above themselves. Their technology always develops in a direction that destroys them, and their behavior tends towards mutual torment.

Despite being fragile, unable to dive, tunnel, or fly, their senses... are extremely outdated.

As the apocalypse arrives, more and more turn into non-humans. Humans, like rats in the sewer, hide in every corner. Oh no, such statements are flattering humans, as rats at least qualify for evolution.

Do you long for evolution? Do you want to shed your human identity? Do you crave power? Are you sick of human deception? Welcome to the Non-human Association, but please fill out the questionnaire first to ensure your suitable denomination.]

Whether to be an Asura or a beast depends on the questionnaire.

Wen Xishu thought for a moment and began filling out the questionnaire.

The questionnaire was simple, not one of those in-depth ones leaving you clueless about its intent.

For instance, the first question: you wish for —

A: The wings of an eagle.

B: A body unaffected by collisions.

C: Superior computational power...

There are roughly five options.

Each corresponding to a different non-human path.

Most of the ensuing questions followed this format.

The Ten Thousand Beasts Path offers various animal abilities like flying, diving, enhanced sense of smell, hearing... these are basic, including terrifying speed, strength, mating capabilities.

The Divine-Demon Dao manifests in controlling others, like mind dominance or creating objects. The Vengeful Spirit Dao allows entry into dreams in a departed soul form, creating illusions.

In short, each category has its own abilities.

Wen Xishu simply avoided the Ten Thousand Beasts, finding it akin to a beast path.

As for Unknown Dao — probably morphs into an unnameable entity, he hasn’t chosen it.

He was torn between Divine-Demon, Vengeful Spirit, and Mechanical.

But he didn’t hesitate for long, and soon Wen Xishu made a decision — the Mechanical Dao.

The reason was none other than his sudden recall of seeing his mechanical version in the Realm of Hundred Selves, piquing his curiosity if choosing the Mechanical Dao means embodying the mechanical version of himself?
