“Fight!” The referee’s voice boomed, officially commencing the match.

Steele, however, refused to budge, patiently waiting for Alec to make his move first, similarly, Alec remained steadfast, his hands concealed behind his back as he locked eyes with Steele before him.

“Add all the remaining attribute points to agility,” Alec commanded the system spirit utilizing his mind as a conduit.

Notably, this time Alec only experienced a slight tingling sensation across his skin following his agility upgrade, gone were the days of enduring excruciating pain with such significant enhancements.

“Come!” Alec beckoned, gesturing toward Steele with his right hand.

This action seemed to incense Steele, prompting him to charge vehemently towards Alec.

Initially he had been anxious that Alec might instantly summon his golems, leaving no opportunity for him to mount a defence, but now he is both relieved and angered at Alec’s lack of action, as Alec had not even drawn a weapon, let alone summon any golem to fight him, and Steele interpreted this as underestimation, which only serves to fuel his fury.

So he decided to swiftly attack Alec before he could change his mind in summoning any golems, Steele began circling Alec in rapid motion.

Harnessing the wind Mana within him to communicate with the wind particles in the air, as a small wind barricade materialized within seconds, obstructing Alec’s path.

Taking advantage of the situation, Steele, who possessed considerable speed, skilfully concealed himself within the circular wind barricade he had created, his plan fully set in motion.

Most of the spectators in the crowd struggled to locate Steele amidst the flurry of after-images created by his agile movements through the wind barricade.

And it became increasingly difficult for them to pinpoint his exact position.

Despite the presence of screen in the air, the spectators remained unable to properly discern Steele’s location, as his movements were too rapid.

And the screens only allowed them to glimpse his last known whereabouts due to the wind barricade, further increasing the challenge.

Steele had intentionally utilized the wind barricade as a perfect hiding spot, concealing himself amidst the commotion.

Meanwhile, Alec still stood motionless in the midst of the swirling winds, his hands calmly positioned behind him.

With each second Steele passed by, Alec subtly adjusted his gaze.

However, Steele misinterpreted this as Alec being confused about his own position, further bolstering his confidence to launch an attack.

Nevertheless, Steele’s arrogance did not blind him to the fact that Alec was a powerful mage, even without the assistance of his golems

Having observed Alec’s previous battles, Steele knew that Alec was far from helpless even without his golems, this understanding led Steele to devise a plan to trick Alec’s senses before launching a strike.

Suddenly, two gleaming daggers were hurled towards Alec from behind.

The spectators gasped, anticipating Alec to swiftly evade the blades, but to their astonishment, Alec remained rooted to the ground, without even turning to acknowledge the incoming threat, his demeanour seemed completely unaware of the daggers nearing him.

Realizing that Alec had not yet reacted to the daggers, Steele seized the split second opportunity to launch his attack, with his mind racing, Steele swiftly struck, considering every aspect of the situation.

Recognizing that even if Alec were to react to his attack, it would be too late for him to defend against the two impending daggers from behind, so Steele swiftly dashed towards Alec from the left side.

Extending his hand into the air, Steele grasped at the invisible currents, conjuring a formidable short wind sword in his palm.

With all his strength, he propelled the blade downward, aiming to strike Alec and cut him down.

At this pivotal moment, many spectators were still attempting to comprehend Alec’s state of mind as he stood firmly rooted in the same spot, exhibiting no signs of movement.

“Move out of the way!” cried one concerned admirer, screaming at the top of her voice, hoping that her urgent plea would help her crush ( Alec) evade the imminent attack.

“Knock him out, so the team of black horse realizes the difference between the chosen academies and ordinary academies!” exclaimed another fan from a different location, eagerly anticipating Alec’s defeat.

With his head lowered, Alec remained in the midst of all this chaos, his gaze fixed upon the ground, as Steele inched closer.

The crowd of spectators felt time slow down as Steele drew nearer, as they gripped their fists in anticipation, while they observed with bated breath, eager to witness how Steele would seize and capitalize on this crucial opportunity.

Meanwhile, Steele’s confidence reached an excessive level after gazing at Alec and realizing his lack of reaction to the charging assault.

However, in the next split second, just before the wind blade intended for Alec’s neck could strike, Alec’s head abruptly jerked upwards making the wind sword miss him by a small margin, his gaze focused directly on Steele.

In that very moment, as Alec raised his head, a paralyzing fear engulfed Steele’s entire being.

“Too slow!” Those were the piercing words that echoed in Steele’s ears from Alec before the image of Alec in front of him twitched and vanished.

It seemed as though Alec had disappeared from Steele’s sight, leaving him bewildered, however, the crowd had witnessed the entire exchange and knew what had transpired.

To the spectators, Alec’s sudden displacement appeared akin to instant teleport action, in the blink of an eye, he vanished from his original location and reappeared behind Steele, swiftly lunging with his right fist aimed directly at Steele’s face.

The crowd, fully immersed in the electrifying moment, finally get to appreciate the display on the screens again, as only with it were they able to catch a glimpse of Alec’s extraordinary speed, which seemed to mimic teleportation within a certain close range.

Bang!

And then, with an explosive impact, the first attack of the match found its mark.

Alec’s right fist collided forcefully with Steele’s face jaw, there was no fancy trick, no mana reinforcement or even magic spell.

It was just a pure manifestation of Alec’s raw physical strength after his breakthrough, the sheer force that was unleashed produced a shockwave sound that seemed to match the clash of two Tier 5 Mage spells.

The crowd shuddered in awe, their excitement reaching a crescendo, as they cheered to the top of their voices.

On the receiving end of the devastating strike, Steele felt as if his Jaws had been struck by an insurmountable mountain.

The force behind Alec’s punch sent him hurtling to the ground with a bone-jarring impact.

To add insult to injury, Steele bounced off the surface before being forcefully driven back down.

His body skidded across the battle ring before coming to a stop, all this was propelled solely by the potent momentum generated by that single punch.

“Ahh!” Steel attempted to rise quickly, but he could only manage a groan of pain.

It was evident that his facial injuries were not the only concern; he had several broken bones from that single encounter.

He lifted his gaze to meet Alec’s eyes while clutching his chest with his left hand.

As he tried to speak, but in that moment, he realized his words were jumbled and unclear.

With his quick mind, Steele was able to connect the dots and realized that this had all been Alec’s plan from the beginning.

To anyone else, it might have seemed like that first strike had been a normal attack, but Steele understood that Alec could have chosen to smash his fist into his chest, which could have resulted in critical injury that would take him out, an act Steele knew Alec was fully capable of after witnessing his power but he didn’t.

And he could have easily knocked Steele unconscious, yet Alec chose a different tactic.

From the very first move, he had targeted Steele’s jaws, dislocating them with precision.

Alec’s intent was clear from the beginning, he had wanted to impair Steele’s speech, ensuring that he wouldn’t be able to surrender, even if he changed his mind.

As Steele met Alec’s focused gaze, he no longer saw him merely as a crazed Mage, but as a calculating and dangerous one.
