The Golem Mage

582: Sleeping 2.

582: Sleeping 2.

The Dean, the two instructors, and Selene all watched Alec in a daze as they saw him levitate slightly in the air, the elemental particles that had been swirling around the air surged into his body with such velocity that they emitted a small flash of light that made all of them raised their hands up to shield their eyes.

“What in the gods’ name is happening?” Jasper couldn’t help but exclaim as he witnessed Alec’s breakthrough to the Tier 5 Mage Realm while Alec is still asleep.

Everyone in the room was struck with awe, but Selene was the most shocked as she began to question everything she understood about cultivation.

She was aware of countless unique methods of cultivation, such as dual cultivation, which involves intimacy, and blood cultivation, which requires extensive killing, which often results in widespread carnage.

There were also the methods of assassin cultivation, and each of these unique paths had its own specific practices, however, this was the first time Selene had seen someone capable of cultivating simply by sleeping.

She was certain that this was not a golem method, as she knew several mages who followed the golem path, cause although the Gordons clan’s primary path was that of the golem, but they were not the only ones to do so, as even the puppetry clans’ techniques were somewhat similar to theirs at the basics.

Yet, Selene knew other mages who practiced the golem path, and from her observations, she was convinced that Alec was unlike any other golem mage she had encountered.

She believed he must be concealing secrets, especially given his ability to provide pills for his teammates, pills even the Dean doesn’t dare promise, Selene had decided to help him keep this secret, as it was not uncommon for successful mages to have their own closely guarded mysteries.

These secrets they keep are the very reason why these exceptional mages stood out from their peers.

However, witnessing Alec’s cultivation while he slept shattered everything Selene thought she knew, she began to reflect on all the times she had scanned Alec with her mental energy and caught him sleeping, this had led her to believe he was the lazy type.

She even developed a certain displeasure towards his sleeping habits, she always felt if only he had been more focused, he could have become so much stronger, but now, she couldn’t help but feel like a fool, as it dawned on her that Alec might had been cultivating all along she felt he was seeping.

–

Alec’s eyes gently opened as his feet finally touched the ground, however, what he saw before him was far from what he expected, the entire committee of the War God Academy team stood there, staring at him with evident surprise.

“Um, if it’s not offensive, may I ask why all of you are inside my room?” Alec couldn’t help but inquire.

He was certain that he hadn’t exposed the system, but he didn’t know how to explain the presence of the Branch that had pierced the void, as he believed at that moment they were in his room because of the unleashed Branch that might have disturbed the space when it manifested, but Selene was the first to step forward and speak.

“You!

You achieved a breakthrough just by sleeping, what kind of cultivation do you practice?

I apologize for my curiosity, and you don’t have to answer, but are you aware that you just advanced to the next realm while sleeping?” Selene exclaimed.

Initially relieved that they hadn’t noticed the Branch, Alec soon realized there was a much bigger problem, as his mind re-evaluated Selene’s words, and he looked down at his hands, attempting to infuse them with his mana.

To his surprise, Alec discovered something astonishing, something entirely different from what he had expected.

He would never have believed that he could enter the Tier 5 Mage Realm so easily.

The system displayed Alec’s updated status tab in front of him, as he noticed some new changes, such as the experience now being referred to as progression., however, he was still unsure how to respond to Selene’s inquiry.

The system spirit golem, which had been ignored by the Dean and the others in the corner of the room due to being focused on finding the demonic beast body, decided to intervene, as its golem shell’s lights went off as it returned to the system.

[×: Just tell her that you passed out when you absorbed the Demonic beast soul, follow my instructions, and we can eliminate any suspicions they have.]

Alec was initially surprised to hear a voice, but he felt thankful that the system spirit had his back.

# Fifteen minutes later

Alec was seen escorting the Dean and the entire group out of his room before slamming the door shut, once he was certain they were gone, he slid down against the door and let out a sigh of relief.

“Thank you,” Alec mentally expressed his gratitude to the system spirit, as he had been warned that they might be listening for any sounds he made using his mental energy, so he was extra cautious when having a conversation with the system spirit now.

Alec had explained, in a simplified manner as instructed by the system spirit, how he had absorbed the soul of the Drake, although they believed Alec was still keeping some details hidden, they knew better than to press him for information he was unwilling to reveal.

Therefore, they didn’t bother asking about the demonic beast body, and Alec took the opportunity to politely dismiss them, claiming he needed time to adjust to his new realm and create a new Golem partner.

After standing up, the first thing Alec did was tear up his clothes, while he walked towards the water screen that covered the balcony of his room, turning his back to it.

As he gazed at his newly formed tattoo, he couldn’t help but feel intrigued, his shadow wolf tattoo had now migrated to the back of his body, alongside the Drake tattoo.

Despite the shadow wolf tattoo being larger than the Drake tattoo, the two images depicted the two beasts glaring at each other.

Observing this tattoo, Alec couldn’t help but utter unconsciously,

“This looks so cool, that I want to show it off.” He turned his neck to watch the tattoo on his back shimmering on the water screen.
