The First Store System

Chapter 1397 Opening His Eyes!

Chapter 1397: Opening His Eyes!

As soon as Aakesh opened his eyes and his other senses returned, he was greeted with the sight of a crying pair of Lily and Khaval.

Aakesh couldnʼt help but forget everything at that moment, and he immediately embraced the two of them, coaxing them not to cry anymore.

His actions didnʼt work at all, and the two cried even louder. Aakesh stopped saying anything and silently patted the duo.

[Congratulations, Host, your authority isnʼt low anymore. It has been upgraded to Moderate!]

At that time, the systemʼs emotionless alert rang inside the store. It was as if pouring oil on fire. Lily and Khaval grew even more distraught upon hearing the systemʼs voice.

Lily and Khaval surprised Aakesh because he was unaware that the system had also stopped working while he was speaking with the figure.

”Hey, system, what are the perks of moderate authority?” Aakesh called the system after Lily and Khaval calmed down.

Aakesh learned that the system had also followed him into that conversation, so Aakesh thought about discussing the systemʼs part later.

Aakesh had been becoming more and more sincere when it came to his duty as the store owner over the past several decades. The meeting with the figure propelled him further since he wanted to know more about the system and about himself.

[Host, having a Moderate level of authority allows you to have a ten percent commission on the productʼs sale.]

The system didnʼt make Aakesh wait and soon informed him of the newly acquired benefits after his authority with the system increased.

His commission was five percent which had now grown to ten percent. It wasnʼt the only perk enjoyed by him.

Earlier, the system had no responsibility for protecting him unless he asked and paid for it. But after the increase in his authority, Aakeshʼs protection level also increased.

He no longer needed to worry about anyone below the Supreme God level. He would need to ask for the systemʼs help and pay accordingly if his enemy turned out to be of a higher cultivation level than the Supreme God.

The cultivation level wasnʼt constant, and it will grow with an increase in Aakeshʼs cultivation. The sudden surge in Aakeshʼs cultivation to the peak of the Sacred Dimension was false. As a result of being directly looked at by the beings in his memory, his cultivation increased. But after he returned to reality, the situation returned to normal, and his cultivation regressed to the late Divine Lord, his actual power level.

In addition to his protection level, Aakesh also gained the authority to manipulate the price of store products. It didnʼt mean that Aakesh could raise the price of a pill to ten ultimate Sacred stones or decrease it to one inferior Sacred stone. There was a limit by which Aakesh could increase or decrease the price of the product.

If Aakesh wanted to disregard that limit, he needed to increase his authority level. Aakesh wasnʼt particularly interested in that perk since the system set the price equitably, and Aakesh had no interest in partaking in it. Nonetheless, it was a perk.

Aakesh nodded after hearing the three benefits he had gained from the increase in his authority. He then suddenly looked up and asked the system, ”What level of control do I have over you?”

[Host, you need to increase your authority level to upper moderate to have some control over me.]

The system truthfully responded. Aakesh nodded in appreciation with a smile.

Knowing that the system was the primogenitor of the Yantra race and might originally be a distinct creature made things different. The primogenitor of the Yantra race was the sole being in the entire group to have emotions, so the system wasnʼt as emotionless as it showed.

Aakesh didnʼt ask the system about it since his authority was clearly not high enough to delve very deeply into the systemʼs past.

”Hey, system, give the control authority of the room to Aakesh and us,” Lily said after Aakesh was silent for a while.

Aakesh only looked at Lily and showed no special response to Lilyʼs request.

The system didnʼt reject Lily and immediately shared the authority of Aakeshʼs room with him and the duo.

A complete transfer wasnʼt possible since the room was a part of the store and hence part of the system. Aakeshʼs authority wasnʼt enough to have any control over the system, so it only shared the authority.

Lily and Khaval felt nothing different from before, but Aakesh sensed some restriction on him breaking down.

”How long has it been since I opened the store?” Aakesh asked about the system since things with his past were dealt with. There was no recent worry in sight.

[Host, three years, four months, and seventeen days have passed since you last opened the store.]

The systemʼs emotionless voice rang in Aakeshʼs ears, surprising him.

Even though it seemed Aakesh was in the memory for a long time, no time had passed since he did that. Everything happened in his mind and was quick, so not even a millionth of a second had passed.

”How can the time difference be so exaggerated between the two situations?” Aakesh couldnʼt help but ask. Even the time difference between the fourth dimension and the Sacred Dimension was one million times.

[Host, you are mistaken in your analysis!]

[It was not that everything happened quickly; you were unable to analyze the time there. The time flow in your memory was at the same rate as the Sacred Dimension.]

Aakesh was taken aback by the systemʼs reaction, questioning how he could have processed the time in the memory so slowly. He then immediately calmed down, remembering the scene of his unlimited intelligence and stamina failing him as soon as he tried to see anything other than the eyes of the creature.

The situation in his memory was clearly different from anything Aakesh had ever faced. He didnʼt feel that small even when he came across Vritrasura, the strongest being below the Devas in the Sacred Dimension.

”Do I really have something to do with Devas?” Aakesh couldnʼt help but mumble under his breath.

He then calmed down since he would eventually find out about his past as he would complete the store upgrading quests. He only needed to focus on the store, so he returned to reality.
