Chapter 1390: Breakthrough and New Beginnings(21)

After her conversation with her father, Laney walked toward the store.

When she reached the store, there was a small queue of six people in front of Aakesh while Katrina and Autumn were seated on two nearby chairs.

Since Katrina and Autumn were also store customers, they had no idea about Laney being a candidate for the storeʼs quest. They only thought Aakesh liked the girlʼs personality and slightly helped her.

As for treatment, it was known that Aakesh had no bias at all when it came to any customer.

Laney simply joined the queue and waited for her turn.

After a few minutes of waiting, it was finally her turn. She immediately greeted Aakesh respectfully with a big smile.

”Big brother, I am going to announce my kingship today,” Laney stated with pride evident on her face.

Aakesh nodded in response to Laneyʼs statement since he also knew about Laneyʼs announcement in the sky of the Kingdom after her victory.

At the same time, Aakesh had also come across many customers over the past few days who asked him whether he had a hand in what Laney was doing.

Aakesh simply ignored those kinds of questions. He no longer had to worry about customers knowing about his hand in Laneyʼs actions since the quest would be completed the next day. Until then, the news of her victory would keep others focused.

”Big brother, I want to invite you to my coronation,” Laney stated with a gentle smile, and not long after, a decorated scroll appeared in her hands.

Aakesh took the scroll and read the content on it. There was nothing special but a simple invitation.

”I will not come, but I will give you a gift after your ceremony,” Aakesh replied, returning the scroll.

Laney didnʼt act surprised since she had expected Aakeshʼs refusal. She only felt disappointed, but not for very long, and soon calmed down.

Laney didnʼt take the scroll back and turned around to leave. Aakesh simply shook his head, and the following moment, the decorated scroll disappeared from his hand.

After leaving the store, Laney proceeded to the travel junction. She was taken aback by the knowledge that the travel portal inside the Kingdom was not active. It clearly showed what the elites of the Kingdom wanted.

But since Laney had already announced her intentions of proclaiming herself as the King of the Fring Kingdom, she needed to travel.

Considering the situation, whatever merciful thoughts she had in her heart regarding the citizens of the dead Kingdom vanished immediately. Since direct travel to the capital wasnʼt possible, she chose to go to the nearby cities.

Unfortunately for her, the travel portal for every city in the dead Kingdom was inactive, leaving her no choice but to travel to the neighboring Kingdom at the bottom of the mountain.

The situation increased the amount of work she had to do and also caused anger in her heart.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Loud explosions continuously rang in Festic City, one of the top three cities in the Kingdom.

Laney was floating high in the air and could see the corpses of the rebels. Her eyes contained no mercy as she released another blast.

In no time, what was a major city turned into a ruin, with blood and body parts at every corner of the place. Laney didnʼt leave even a single survivor alive.

Time was indispensable in the Sacred Dimension. Even if she took a ruined city, it would flourish in ten thousand years. If not ten thousand years, then millions of years.

Laney already had the capital to create a glorious city and Kingdom anywhere she wanted on the planet.

The Festic City wasnʼt the first to face the brunt of her anger, but it was only one of the many on her way to the capital. Laney had taken no more than twenty to thirty lives during her victory, but the death toll on the day of the declaration had long crossed the billion mark, and she seemed in no mood to stop at all.

Not long after, Laney reached the Capital, and what welcomed her was a trapping array.

Laney simply scoffed when she saw the tricks employed by the rebels. Since she was no longer worried about the destruction and loss of lives, she manipulated gravity at a large range of distances, forcing the array nodes to crack.

In no time, Laney had freed herself, while at the same time, hundreds of rebels ranging between different levels in Divine Lord were dead.

It was only the start of the killing that would ensue in the capital. One after another, mountains of heads formed as the number of dead by Laney grew.

In only a few hours since her entry into the Kingdom, more than ninety percent of the total population was dead.

The entire Kingdom was filled with a negative aura, making Laney even crazier.

A baby cry at that time suddenly woke Laney up. When she had come to the Kingdom, she had already accepted the fact that there would be a large number of deaths, but the scene she saw in front of her shook her to her core.

Laney took a deep breath to remove whatever frustration she had in her heart. She didnʼt feel sad about the number of deaths, so there was no guilt or uncomfortable feeling.

Laney then stopped further killing and manipulated gravity to the extent that several mountains of heads exploded into blood clouds.

When the cloud subsided, the entire capital looked red from all the blood.

Laney then floated up in the sky and announced, ”From today, I shall be the first King of the Fring Kingdom. I will be your shield whenever any enemy arrives. I shall be your friend, mother, and father…”

She announced majestically, but unfortunately for her, no one cared what she was saying. The scenes on the ground were different than what Laney was proclaiming in the sky.

Even though Laney announced her Kingship after the massacre, she had ideas to become a just king for her citizens. It wasnʼt to apologize to those innocents who died under her fury, but she was originally like that.
