The First Store System

Chapter 1392: The Crown!

After the coronation ceremony came to an end, it was time for a banquet. Laney hadnʼt tried to hold anything back and splurged money like water, so many of the guests were seeing things they couldnʼt even imagine before that.

The dishes consisted of rare fruits as well as the meat of rare creatures. Even Lesser Gods would drool in front of that kind of food, but it was present in an unlimited quantity.

The banquet came to an end with a joyful and cheerful atmosphere. The guests began to leave one after another, and soon, only Laney and her family members were left at the venue.

After some conversation, Laney was left alone on the scene. Since her mood was good, she ordered her maids to distribute the remaining food to the citizens of the Kingdom.

After ordering, Laney also left the venue and walked toward the travel junction. As she walked, she saw the newly created buildings standing atop the ruins of the previous city. Laney couldnʼt help but smile since it gave her the feeling of walking into her original Kingdom.

Laney didnʼt even sense when she reached her destination since she got immersed in the beauty of a city that was solely hers to control. She halted as she was about to enter the junction and turned around.

She took a deep breath and vowed in her heart, ”One day, Kross City will be one of the major cities of the entire Dimension.”

Laney then didnʼt stand there any longer and turned around, walking into the junction.

There were three small travel portals inside the junction, and other than a few guards, there was no second soul present there.

Laney walked to the one that had the coordinates of the portal inside Thorr City and chose it. As the portal lit up, she strode inside.

The next moment, when she exited, she was no longer in Kross City but Thorr City, a place tens of millions of miles away from her Kingdom.

After walking out of the travel junction, she took a flight, her destination being the store. Even though it was deep in the night and the store was closed, she still flew there because Aakesh had summoned her after the coronation ceremony.

Considering the time of the night, Aakesh, Lily, and Khaval should have been in Panagea, but instead of there, they were waiting for Laney.

The moment the coronation ceremony was complete, the second store upgrade quest was complete, but Aakesh had been holding back from checking the alerts. He decided to reward Laney first since the system had informed him that the process would be long and he most probably wouldnʼt be able to open the store.

Aakesh still had the watcher skill, so he was aware of Laneyʼs actions. When she reached the door, Aakesh walked to the gate and opened it for her since it could only be manually opened.

”Big Brother, where is my gift?” Laney immediately called out upon entering the store.

Lily and Khaval rolled their eyes when they heard Laney calling Aakesh ʼBig Brotherʼ. But since it wasnʼt the first, it wasnʼt something surprising. They just didnʼt like someone referring so intimately to Aakesh other than them.

Laney also noticed Lily and Khavalʼs actions but ignored them since her entire focus at that moment was on the crown Aakesh would award her.

Aakesh only smiled at seeing Laney in such a hurry, but he didnʼt keep her waiting for long. Aakesh snapped his fingers, and the next moment, a crown, the same size Laney could wear, appeared in his right hand.

Laneyʼs eyes jumped up in excitement when she saw the crown. Just by looking at it, Laney could feel that it was an extraordinary item, better than anything she could have imagined.

Aakesh handed the crown to her and she gently, respectfully took it from his hands. A blue screen popped out in front of her, detailing the item. But at that moment, her entire focus was on the appearance of the item.

It was a breathtaking masterpiece, unlike anything Laney had ever seen. The crownʼs base was forged from an iridescent material unknown to her. It seemed to shine in an ethereal spectrum of colors whenever light touched it. The centerpiece of the crown was a massive gemstone. It was a radiant, multifaceted jewel unknown to her, similar to the metal used in the baseʼs creation. The gemʼs core appeared to be an encapsulated nebula, with swirling gases and cosmic dust trapped within. Whenever light touched its surface, it refracted and scattered into a breathtaking scenery, creating a miniature galaxy that seemed to spin within the gem.

The intricate design of the crownʼs structure included spiraling patterns that resembled the cosmic swirls of galaxies. All in all, Laney immediately fell in love with Surrounding the gemstone were smaller gemstones, each cut and polished to perfection. Laney could see that even those smaller gemstones were immensely valuable materials.

After a long pause, she finally returned to reality and woke up from her love of the crown. She then focused on the popped-up blue screen in front of her and read the details on it.
