Chapter 390 – Severalfold Growth!

Chapter 390: Severalfold Growth!

After disappearing from the store, both Aakesh and Lily appeared in the selection area.

Lily jumped down Aakeshʼs head, selected her usual training environment, and then pushed the red switch to activate it. The next moment, a portal appeared and sucked him in.

Aakesh had defeated even the opponent of the third round overwhelmingly, so there was no point for him to go there unless he wanted to torture the opponent.

So for today, he decided to focus on only two training environments. He would then determine his next one after successfully conquering the fort.

Aakesh then went to the weapon section, took out his bow, selected the training environment, went to the other side, and pushed the switch to activate it. Soon, a portal appeared, breaking the silence permeated in the selection area, and then it sucked Aakesh in.

The next moment, Aakesh appeared in a familiar hall, with concrete acting as a terrace and a bullseye in front of him.

”Whoosh!”

Soon the training round began. The bullseye released its first arrow with a random strength.

Aakesh aimed his bow toward the bullseye since the arrow followed the straight path. He then took out an ordinary arrow from the quiver tied to his back, nocked it on the bowstring, and stretched the string using his right hand, only to stop when it touched his nose.

”Whoosh!”

”Clang!”

Aakesh then released the bowstring. The arrow flew, tearing through the air. The next moment a metallic sound rang in the hall as it clashed with the bullseye arrow.

Aakesh had successfully estimated the strength at which the bullseye released the arrow, so it resulted in mutual destruction, denoting Aakesh passing this round.

Yesterday Aakesh had stopped after exceeding the mark of seven hundred bullseyes. Today also, he had the same goal. He wanted to see just how far he could go after tomorrowʼs growth in the war.

Time flew by, and fifteen minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

Aakesh was currently in the six hundredth round when there were six hundred and seventy-eight bullseyes.

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

The sound of metallic clashes continuously rang in the hall as arrows after arrows clashed with each other. Despite being of random strength after their release from the bullseye, Aakesh was able to match each of them, which would then result in mutual destruction.

One second passed, two seconds passed,…, sixty seconds passed, and just like that, around five minutes had passed.

It has been around twenty minutes since Aakesh started the training.

He was currently fighting the seven hundredth round while there were seven hundred and thirteen bullseyes shooting arrows at him. At this point, Aakesh had lost yesterday, so if he failed once more, it would mean that Aakesh was the same as yesterday.

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

”Clang!”

The sound of metallic clashes continuously rang in the hall, and arrows from both sides clashed with each other. It all resulted in mutual destruction similar to the last rounds.

Finally, the time for the last arrow from both sides to clash arrived.

”Clang!”

Aakesh expressionlessly looked at what result he would gain with this round.

”Crush!”

The next moment, both the arrows faced mutual destruction since Aakesh successfully matched its strength.

It wasnʼt the end, as there were still thirteen more rounds left before Aakesh passed this stage.

Time flew by.

It has been thirty minutes since the training began. Aakesh, like usual, surpassed his previous result by an enormous gap.

He was currently fighting in the eight-hundred and 11th rounds when eight hundred and forty-nine bullseyes were present in the hall.

”Whoosh!”

Aakesh failed to match the strength of one of the arrows, and his was less, so the arrow released by bullseye flew at him and pierced his throat without even giving him a chance to dodge or fight back.

It wasnʼt the end, as Aakesh still hadnʼt lost. It was only his first warning.

Time flew by.

”Whoosh!”

Before Aakesh could even think of dodging an arrow released by the bullseye after Aakesh had surpassed the strength, it pierced his heart, resulting in instant death and the end of the training round.

Despite getting another chance after getting his throat pierced, Aakesh failed to surpass the eight hundred and forty-nine bullseyes.

Since it was still more than a jump of a hundred bullseyes from yesterday, Aakesh was satisfied with his result. The difficulty of the training round grew severalfold after the number of bullseyes crossed five hundred. Similarly, it made Aakeshʼs shooting rate and ability to manipulate the releasing strength of the arrow grow at a visible rate.

A silence then fell on the hall as everything restored itself back to the situation when Aakesh had entered the hall, but he wasnʼt there to see it. After dying, Aakesh straight away left the training ground since he had decided to see his limit, and it was his limit for today.

It was now time for him to enter the last training ground for the day. He didnʼt know whether he would be able to conquer it today or not, but his goal was to make the ruler appear today, no matter what result he received in the end.

Aakesh then chose the training ground and pushed the switch to activate it. The next moment, a portal appeared and sucked him in, without giving him any chance to resist.

Soon, Aakesh appeared in the familiar battleground while the fort majestically looked down on him.

”Ding!”

Aakesh couldnʼt even breathe before the bell rang and announced the war for the fort.

”Thud!”

”Thud!”

”Thud!”

It was only the start, but the soldiers had already begun jumping down the ground.

Today, the speed at which they jumped down had seen an increase. In even less than a second, 2% of the total soldiers in the fort had jumped down on the ground, while the remaining were still doing it.

Aakesh didnʼt wait for them to jump and then charge at him before attacking. He straight away aimed his bow at the charging soldiers and then began stretching the bowstring using his right hand.

At first, an outline of an arrow appeared, but soon it materialized and turned into an actual physical arrow.

”Whoosh!”

Aakesh then released the bowstring, and the arrow flew, tearing through the air.
