The First Store System

Chapter 369 – Complete

Chapter 369: Complete

Excluding Gordon, there were six tutors in the group, so Aakesh was now six steps closer to completing the quest.

Aakesh wanted several groups like Gordon to complete the quest today, so he eagerly waited for more and more customers to come.

[…, numbers of weapons sold: 9503/10,000,]

Aakesh looked at the progress screen floating next to him and saw that he was only 497 weapons sales from completing the last requirement of completing the quest. The eagerness to complete the quest grew in his heart.

Time flew by, and hours passed.

The sun that had been shining over the Anga continent and providing light into the lives of countless creatures belonging to numerous races finally set down. With it, another round of darkness arrived on the continent and brought several beings into the open.

The three-hour stay of the third group of customers in Panagea was over, so the system forced them out, depending on their entering sequence.

After exiting Panagea, the customers began leaving one by one. In no time, only Aakesh and Lily remained inside the store.

Aakesh didnʼt close the store right away as there was still a group left in the weapons room.

Aakesh stood up from his chair and went to the weapons room.

In the weapons room, he could see three customers studying weapons.

He then looked at the progress screen floating next to him.

[…, numbers of weapons sold: 9588/10,000,]

Unfortunately, the luck of the store seemed to end two hours before the sunset. In the last two hours, not even a single new customer came, nor did any customer already present in the store purchase a single weapon, marking zero growth in the progress screen.

Seeing that these three sales wouldnʼt help him in fulfilling the storeʼs requirement, he spoke, ”Leave. Itʼs time for the store to close.”

The three customers studying the weapons had no choice but to leave after the store owner personally reminded them.

”Thank you, store owner!”

”Thank you, store owner!”

”Thank you, store owner!”

The three of them simultaneously thanked Aakesh. In response, Aakesh only expressionlessly nodded. They then exited the weapons room and then the store.

After only Aakesh and Lily remained in the entire building, Aakesh took a step forward, went to the door, and closed it, bringing another day for the store to an end.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on completing your last mission objective! Please see the quest screen for your new quest.]

Aakesh had only taken a step when he suddenly heard continuous mechanical alerts.

The next moment, a blue window containing all the details of the new quest appeared in front of him.

Aakesh was already prepared for this since it didnʼt happen for the first time. He then decided to check the quest first and then do the training since it would only take a few moments of his time. Aakesh then focused on the blue screen and began reading his new quest.

[Mission objective: Add the number of virtual portals,

Requirement: As a result of the three-day event, the Panagea had become increasingly popular throughout the Bisan Kingdom and some parts of the Primal dimension. So much so that only in the starting few hours of the opening of the store, all the slots get taken for the day. There has been an addition of 1000 more virtual portals, but to ensure such kind of craze for Panagea continues and more and more customers join it; the store owner needs to have 15,000 hours of entry time every day into Panagea for thirty days straight,

Mission reward: 10,000 new virtual portals,

Failure punishment: Removal of one virtual portal every day if the number of days exceeds 45. If it exceeded 90 days, the decreasing rate would grow to five portals; if it exceeded 150 days, the rate would increase to 10 virtual portals.]

”Eh!” Aakesh exclaimed in surprise after reading the quest. The reward and difficulty of the quest had grown by several times, and there was even a failure punishment, unlike the last two missions.

Earlier, he only needed to have 2000 hours of stay for the adventurers into Panagea for seven days straight to complete the quest, but now the number had grown severalfold, making it 15,000 hours, and that too for thirty days straight.

At first glance, it looked the same, but it wasnʼt. Now that the number of portals had grown to 1150, Aakesh needed filled spots for more than thirteen hours in a day of fifteen hours if he wanted to complete the quest.

It wasnʼt the difficult part of the mission. The complex part was the days. If the store missed even a day, the quest would begin again.

And now, the system had even added a failure punishment, making the quest even more difficult.

Aakesh then decided to stop thinking about the difficulty as Panagea was a product that would always be in demand, irrespective of the number of virtual portals. When people would find out about the increased numbers, they would rush to the store.

Aakesh then waved his hands, and the next moment, the quest screen dissipated into nothingness.

”Letʼs go!” Aakesh told Lily, who had been silently looking at him for the past few moments.

Lily nodded, and the next moment, both Aakesh and her disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection area.

Lily jumped down Aakeshʼs head. She then selected her usual training ground. The next moment, a portal appeared and sucked her in.

Aakesh went to the weapon section and picked his bow. He then selected his first training ground and pushed the switch on the other side.

Soon, the familiar portal appeared and sucked him in.

The next moment, Aakesh appeared in the familiar arena in the midst of cheers.

Soon, a blue screen appeared in front of him and asked his choice on which stage he wanted to fight on.

Yesterday, he had already defeated his opponent of the second round overwhelmingly, so it was now time for him to proceed to the next stage.

Since he had already decided, he didnʼt wait and selected the third round right away.

The next moment, the blue screen scattered. The atmosphere in the arena turned chilly out of nowhere as the opponent appeared in the arena.

[Ding!]

Soon, the bell rang and announced the start of the battle.
