Chapter 1485: Hidden Order

”...” Noel fell silent, his relaxed expression turning solemn.

The supreme devil and the third prince realized that Noel had underestimated them. Noel had won several times, so it wasn’t weird if that achievement got in his head.

While Noel was extraordinary, he was still a young man.

It looked like they were very lucky this time. And this one lucky time was all they needed. Even if they couldn’t kill Noel, they needed to deal as much damage as they could.

Their fight intensified as they pressured Noel more and more.

Noel blocked the attack from the Supreme Devil, but the third prince came from his right. He formed a barrier with his ice and solidified it with runes, but the barrier soon cracked and shattered into pieces.

Noel twisted his body slightly while releasing all his energy to absorb the attack.

However, the slash still hit his right chest.

Noel gritted his teeth and covered the wound with his ice. He chose an ice element for his defense and patching his wound, which his overwhelming fire couldn’t do.

Still, it didn’t look like it was enough.

When Noel blocked the next attack from the third prince, the third prince struck him from behind. His ice wings absorbed most of the damage, but it still slashed his back.

Noel’s wounds continued to increase as he lost a lot of blood.

”Master...” Tristan gritted his teeth. He had a hard time even stopping the attack from the ancient demon, so he couldn’t help Noel.

In fact, the ancient demon had already reached the wall and slapped the wall, almost destroying the wall.

”Tsk.” Noel clicked his tongue. He looked at the third prince and the supreme devil. The battle wasn’t as one-sided.

Even though he received some damage, he still managed to land a few hits on them, but compared to his wounds, they were just superficial.

”Just give up, Noel Ardagan. There’s no shame in running away!” The third prince grinned, planning to mess with his mentality as well. If the soldiers saw him abandoning them, they would lose their morale, and Noel’s reputation would take a serious hit. In the final battle, Noel couldn’t raise morale as high as this anymore.

”If you can run, that is.” The supreme devil chose to focus on Noel’s physical condition instead. It was true that Noel would be hard to kill, but he planned to take one of his hands in this battle.

”Hah...” Noel let out a long sigh.

”What’s wrong? Looks like we’re going to kill all of your people here. We might not be able to kill you now, but this is the end, Noel Ardagan.” The supreme devil snorted.

”Look at your confidence. How many times have you actually won against me? Once, but that was not even a clean victory. You were clever enough to trap me with your devil saint, but you still couldn’t do anything to me.” Noel smirked. ”Why do you think you can win against me?

”I’m not my ancestor. I know that you are one of his commandants... No, calling you with that title is an insult to my ancestor. A mere traitor dares to think he has outsmarted me or my ancestor...”

”You...” The supreme devil glared at him.

”Don’t listen to him. Let’s just finish this up.” The third prince snorted.

”Heh. A demon king who could only run away with his tail between his legs. When my ancestor beat you up, you were just a pathetic loser who kept carrying that loser status for over a thousand years.”

”You...” It was the demon king’s turn to get insulted.

In the end, Noel’s mouth was as poisonous as his father’s. Even a noble could get a heart attack just listening to him.

Noel grinned. ”I guess I don’t have to play around any longer. It’s time to fight for real.”

”He’s bluffing.”

”Kill him now!”

The supreme devil and the third prince agreed. But before they could rush to him, two men appeared from the forest.

”Ahhhh! You little bastard. Why are you dragging me like this? Drop me down!”

”!!!” The two couldn’t help but turn around. They obviously recognized the two men.

”Raven!”

”Laufey Ardagan.”

That was right. Coming from the forest was Laufey, who was carrying Raven like baggage.

Noel smiled, as he had been waiting for this moment. ”Raven. I ask you as the current head of the Ardagan family. Where is your loyalty?”

Raven’s body shook as he instinctively replied, ”My loyalty has remained the same ever since that day 32 years ago! My loyalty belongs to the Ardagan family!”

”Then, I command you as the head of the Ardagan family. Take over the command of my soldiers and annihilate all those demons!”

That was right. From the beginning, he secretly dispatched Laufey to bring back someone who could command his soldiers. He knew that the enemies were targeting him, causing him to be unable to command the army. Instead of a spirit transcendence, it was better to bring the commander. It was the reason he revealed the rune cannon.

After all, unlike Howard, who was known for his ability to train new soldiers, Raven was a natural-born commander.

Raven’s expression turned solemn. Although he was working under his father, the situation only gave him one option. Raven fell on one knee. ”I accept the assignment.”

The third prince and the supreme devil panicked. They couldn’t allow Silvester to command the army. If it were him, he might have a way to kill the ancient demon.

But Noel immediately struck them from behind, forcing them to turn around and block his attack instead.

”Where do you think you’re going? Your opponent is me.”

”Kh!” The supreme devil gritted his teeth.

”Don’t mind them. We can still achieve our original objective. He’s already pretty injured. We can take him down quickly.” The third prince shouted.

Noel’s injury was not light. They should have no problem defeating Noel within minutes with that condition.

They came to an agreement. It was better to defeat Noel than to focus on Raven. At the very least, Raven needed some time to take him down.

However, Noel finally revealed one more trump card. It was a black scroll. He received this inheritance from Alex, but it actually came from his grandmother, Milinda.

”Scroll of Divine Link. Spirit and Human Fusion.”
