Chapter 1454: Beast Kingdom

It took him a while to calm down, but Raincart chose to hold it in for the time being.

Now that his mind had cleared up, he finally understood what Noel wanted. ”After telling me all this, do you have something in mind? I don’t think it’s a request, right?”

”Yes, it’s not a request. Instead, please look at this.” Noel brought a scroll and rolled it out on the table. It turned out to be a world map.

”Hmm...?” Raincart frowned. ”Is the effect this big?”

For Noel to take out the world map meant all four kingdoms would be attacked by the demons.

That was why he had to confirm it first.

Noel paused for a moment before pointing at the area outside the Zaecuria Kingdom. ”Right now, the Zaecuria Kingdom is the safest. At the same time, I don’t know what will happen to them either.”

”What do you mean?” Raincart frowned. ”Since the Zaecuria Kingdom doesn’t have much of a land border that is straight to the demon territory, they should be the safest kingdom, no?

”If the people know what happens, a lot of people might seek refuge in this kingdom as the last standing stronghold for humanity.”

”That might be the case, but...” Noel slid his finger to the ocean. ”The sea is the most unexpected powerhouse. According to the information, we don’t know how terrifying the sea is.

”On the sea expedition, I easily encountered several ancient demons on the surface. The admiral from the Zaecuria Kingdom said to me that we would encounter ancient demons in the deep sea.

”If that’s the case, the deeper the sea, the more terrifying it is, right? If that’s the case, there might be even more terrifying demons from the sea.

”Fortunately, the creatures from the sea have a hard time entering the land. So, most of them can only blockade the city.

”However, if there’s a powerful demon that can flood the land...” Noel stopped, but the meaning was clear.

The thought alone caused him to tremble with fear. If there was indeed such a demon, the Zaecuria Kingdom would face an even greater threat compared to other kingdoms.

”Still, is there even a demon that powerful? If it can flood the land the moment that demon makes its move, even we will be crushed by its sheer power alone.”

”Flooding the entire region might be impossible, but you don’t necessarily need to be that strong to flood a region.

”If a human has a water element spirit, don’t you think it’s possible to do the same?”

”Ah!” Raincart gasped. ”Do you mean sending the seawater to flood the region?”

”Yes. You just have to control the seawater. If one is not enough, how about two? Or how about millions of demons trying to push the water into the land?”

Raincart thought for a moment. ”Now that I think about it, I have heard about a certain natural disaster that can bring so much water into the land. If the demons can produce such a thing, we don’t know what will happen...

”I see. Is this the reason you said they are unpredictable? We don’t know the demon’s strength, including the possibility of such a massive disaster. The Zaecuria Kingdom can become the safest as well as the most dangerous country in just a single flip of a hand.”

”Yes. On the other hand...” Noel moved to the desert. ”The Atracaeca Kingdom has a massive threat from the desert. Because of the nature of their kingdom, it will be hard for them to stop the invasion.”

”That’s true. If the demons hide underneath the sand, it’s impossible to stop them.” Raincart nodded. ”That’s why we might have to send reinforcements to the Atracaeca Kingdom, correct?”

”Not necessarily. While it’s true that the Atracaeca Kingdom is in a dangerous spot, it is a country known to revere strength the most.

”That’s why their warriors will fight fiercely. In fact, they are the most stubborn people in the world, so we don’t necessarily need to send reinforcements to them. We can always wait until it’s all over on our side before helping them.

”Now that you know about these two kingdoms, do you know what I want to say regarding the Greenwood Kingdom?”

Raincart fell into deep thought. ”The Greenwood Kingdom might have some borders with the sea, but they will definitely attack the Zaecuria Kingdom first before us. Hence, if the demons are coming, we will be facing them in the north.

”In other words, we will create a united front with you and your people. Is that correct?”

”Not entirely.” Noel shook his head. ”What I want to say is that... the Greenwood Kingdom is currently the safest kingdom in the world, with not many variables, unlike the Zaecuria Kingdom.”

”!!!” Raincart raised his eyebrows. No matter how he looked at it, the Greenwood Kingdom was in danger.

”There is a remnant force of my ancestors located in the north. They’re far away from us, so you won’t be able to find them.

”And they’re the reason I’m telling you about it. Thanks to them, the Greenwood Kingdom will be safe because they will be the first ones to face the full brunt of the demon attack.”

”!!!” Raincart gasped. ”I don’t understand. The remnant of your ancestors? What are you talking about?”

”Please promise that you are not going to tell this to anyone else, even if the king asks about it.” Noel’s expression turned grim.

That expression was enough for Raincart to know how severe this information was. Raincart nodded with a solemn face. ”I promise I will bring this secret to my grave.”

Noel nodded. ”There is another kingdom in this area. They are from the people my ancestors once saved. We have made an agreement to work with each other to defeat the demons.”

”Are you serious? How strong are they? Do we need to help them?”

”If a kingdom with fighters stronger than the Atracaeca Kingdom and seven spirit transcendences is not enough, do you think a single Greenwood Kingdom can help them?”

”Wha—!”
