Chapter 1507: Chapter 30: Bu Bu Wang’s MVP Road

The dust gradually cleared, and Komamura Sajin stared at Su Xiao. In that instant just now, he felt a chill run through his body. If he had swung his knife towards that blade aura, the outcome would definitely not be as it is now.

”A formidable enemy indeed, since that’s the case, I cannot continue to hold back.”

Komamura Sajin flipped his Zanpakutō in his hand, and the spiritual pressure around him surged dramatically, causing the ground to seem to tremble.

”Shikai: Kokujo Tengen Myo’o!”

Rumble...

A towering figure appeared behind Komamura Sajin. This was his most powerful ability, the Heavenly Punishment Bright King.

Boom!

The Heavenly Punishment Bright King, holding a massive Zanpakutō, stomped its foot, causing the nearby ground to shake violently. The power of this entity was exceptionally terrifying, and in a direct confrontation, most captains were not a match for the Heavenly Punishment Bright King.

Su Xiao looked at the black armored warrior behind Komamura Sajin, also known as the Heavenly Punishment Bright King. He did not rush towards Komamura Sajin; in fact, Su Xiao sheathed the Dragon Slash.

”Hm?”

Komamura Sajin knitted his brows. Su Xiao’s actions left him somewhat perplexed, but it wasn’t important. Komamura Sajin raised his arm, and the Heavenly Punishment Bright King behind him lifted its Zanpakutō, which was at least seven or eight meters long. The attack range was considerable.

Although Su Xiao had sheathed the Dragon Slash, that didn’t mean he was giving up the fight. A heavy sniper cannon appeared in his hand, which was the Duke of Extinction. This deadly weapon was usually mounted on city walls; without strong power attributes, it could not be used as a conventional weapon.

With a crisp click, Su Xiao pulled the bolt of the Duke of Extinction. Having lived for hundreds of years, Komamura Sajin certainly recognized the weapon, but what confused him was why Su Xiao was using a human weapon against him. Based on past experiences, such loud weapons usually weren’t effective against soul reapers.

Su Xiao held the Duke of Extinction horizontally, and with the enormous size of the Heavenly Punishment Bright King, aiming was unnecessary. It was the kind one could hit with eyes closed.

Thump!

Like a heavy pile driver striking the ground, Su Xiao’s feet sank into the soil as a yellow beam erupted from the muzzle of the Duke of Extinction, heading straight for the Heavenly Punishment Bright King.

The yellow beam instantly struck the chest of the Heavenly Punishment Bright King. This imposing black armored warrior was originally standing behind Komamura Sajin, but it now sat heavily on the ground.

Komamura Sajin’s reaction was even more intense; his eyes widened in anger, and his chest felt pounded, caving in instantly. He vomited blood with an ”Ow” sound.

Luckily, Komamura Sajin had high physical attributes; otherwise, he would have been knocked unconscious by the blunt impact on his chest.

After firing the first shot, Su Xiao immediately pulled the bolt again, loading another Earth Attribute Elemental Bullet into the chamber, and pulled the trigger.

Rumble!

The head of the Heavenly Punishment Bright King received a heavy blow, and it collapsed backwards to the ground. Komamura Sajin’s head buzzed and blood flowed from his mouth and nose.

With the second shot finished, Su Xiao loaded the third Elemental Bullet into the chamber, this time preparing to strike hard with a Thunder Attribute Elemental Bullet.

With a snap, an arc of electricity surged over the gun’s body of the Duke of Extinction, and a silver-white bullet shot out of the muzzle, disappearing instantly.

The body of the fallen Heavenly Punishment Bright King twitched slightly, but this time it reacted very little as the bullet directly pierced through its neck.

The Heavenly Punishment Bright King was incredibly durable; Su Xiao rarely faced foes who could withstand three Elemental Bullets.

After taking the third shot, the Heavenly Punishment Bright King gradually dispersed into spirit particles. It wasn’t scattered by force; rather, Komamura Sajin actively lifted the Shikai.

Sitting on the ground, Komamura Sajin clutched his throat with one hand, all the injuries endured by the Heavenly Punishment Bright King transferred onto him. For this reason, he hadn’t used Shikai at the start of the battle. After confirming Su Xiao didn’t have strong long-range attack capabilities, he summoned the Heavenly Punishment Bright King, not expecting Su Xiao had long been waiting for his Shikai.

Five minutes of probing led to a life-deciding three shots; Komamura Sajin essentially took three shots from the Duke of Extinction. His current injuries were obvious, with blunt impacts from Earth Elemental Bullets on his chest and head, and his throat pierced by a Thunder Elemental Bullet.

Komamura Sajin struggled to stand, but in the next moment, a figure appeared before him.

Clang.

The long knife rang crisply, and Komamura Sajin’s right arm went cold before he fell to the ground with a thud once again.

Su Xiao didn’t waste words with Komamura Sajin; he didn’t decapitate this time because he worried that Komamura Sajin’s Zanpakutō might disappear if he killed him. Although the chances were low, he preferred to be cautious.

Su Xiao flipped the Dragon Slash in his hand. The long knife stabbed downward, puncturing Komamura Sajin’s Zanpakutō.

With a crisp ring, Komamura Sajin, lying on the ground, opened his eyes wide. He turned his head to look at his Zanpakutō, seeming to want to say something, but his throat had been pierced, leaving him mute.

A black gleam emerged from Dragon Slash, enveloping Komamura Sajin’s Zanpakutō. Dragon Slash was about to devour this Zanpakutō whole. Normally, Su Xiao couldn’t do this, but after Supreme Blade surpassed its limit once, it wasn’t difficult.

A harsh grinding noise came, and in less than a minute, a crisp sound echoed within the black glow. Large white crystal shards floated towards Dragon Slash, quickly absorbed by it.

Su Xiao shook Dragon Slash, and the black gleam vanished. He stepped towards Komamura Sajin and slashed down, blood splattering.

[Warning! You have killed Komamura Sajin!]

[The Hunter is now a researcher of Jingling Court, Jingling Court reputation -20,000 points.]

[Warning! If this news is public, the Hunter will be wanted and pursued by Jingling Court.]

[Komamura Sajin was the captain of Squad 7, you gained 12.9% of the World Source, now totaling 13.7%.]

[Your talent ’Soul Eater’ activates, permanently increasing mana by 30 points. Current mana maxes at 6125 points.]

[You obtained a Treasure Chest (Legendary).]

[Note: Due to Komamura Sajin’s damaged Zanpakutō, this reward has been removed from the acquired treasure chest, opening this chest has no reduced benefit.]

...

A string of prompts appeared, Su Xiao didn’t expect that killing a Captain of Guard Court Thirteen Teams would deduct from Jingling Court reputation. Luckily, he still had tens of thousands of Jingling Court reputation; it was already useless, and he didn’t mind the deductions. He even wanted more deducts.

Su Xiao checked Dragon Slash’s attributes, and its comprehensive attributes slightly enhanced, enhancement level didn’t decrease, and blade value increased by 9%.

The increase in blade value wasn’t much, given that Komamura Sajin’s Zanpakutō was uncertified. This was a forceful devour; raising it by 9% was already high.

Compared to the 9% increase on blade value from devouring Komamura Sajin’s Zanpakutō, Su Xiao discovered a ’New Continent’, which is that most of the Soul Reapers’ Zanpakutōs seem devourable by Dragon Slash.

This sounds a bit broad; it’s not that Supreme Blade can devour knife-type weapons regardless of quality. Dragon Slash can advance quality only by devouring weapons of the same grade, the main issue being with the Zanpakutō.

Zanpakutōs are not innate to the Soul Reapers; originally, the prototype of Zanpakutō ’Shallow Strike’ was crafted by a person named Nimaiya Ohetsu.

Shallow Strike is the lowest and most basic Zanpakutō; unverified by Reincarnation Paradise, its power is weak, but its quality isn’t low.

Upon obtaining a ’Shallow Strike’ Zanpakutō, it gains its own name and has abilities like Shikai and Bankai that match the Soul Reaper’s character and soul. Upon reaching Bankai, the Zanpakutō’s sharpness and durability significantly increase.

An unverified Zanpakutō is somewhat akin to a growing weapon, growing with its master. For other Contractors, such pseudo-growing weapons have no use, cannot be taken out of the Soul Reapers’ world, and have no value at all.

But for Su Xiao, all uncertified Zanpakutō are good items; these are pseudo-growing weapons. Supreme Blade can ignore grades when devouring growing weapons, something Su Xiao knew early on. He once used Dragon Slash to devour a growing weapon, which didn’t increase the blade value but did give Dragon Slash an additional ability.

Zanpakutōs, as pseudo-growing weapons, can’t give Dragon Slash new abilities but can offer blade value.

Realizing this, a smile appeared on Su Xiao’s face. If most Zanpakutō could be devoured, things would get interesting. If that’s true, upgrading the tier position of Dragon Slash in the Bleach World is not impossible. Su Xiao’s plans must change accordingly, with the next target being to obtain more Zanpakutō.

Ignoring the treasure chest reward, if Bubu Wang could steal the Soul Reaper’s Zanpakutō and then let Supreme Blade devour it, what would the result be? This is also a plan worth trying.

Su Xiao hoisted Komamura Sajin’s body over his shoulder and quickly disappeared into the darkness. This place was not safe to stay due to the sounds of battle; Soul Reapers living on the edge of Jingling Court had already sensed it.
