Chapter 1506: Chapter 29: Soul Reaper Sword Technique Proficiency

Seeing Komamura Sajin’s data, Su Xiao’s eyes narrowed. It’s important to understand that Komamura Sajin’s strength is at the bottom among many captains, yet even so, his comprehensive ability is very strong.

The weakest captain is like this, so just how formidable has Yamamoto Genryuusai become? This made Su Xiao even more determined in his previous plan.

Or rather, Su Xiao never intended to join forces with Aizen against the Soul Society, at least not with his current strength, it’s practically impossible.

To participate in the final chaos battle at least requires the strength of a Fifth Tier contractor, or even higher. According to Su Xiao’s observations within Jingling Court, there might be Fifth Tier contractors in this Bleach World, as it is an open world.

If the current Bleach World were divided into three areas, with danger levels from low to high, it would be the Living World

This ranking doesn’t mean the overall combat strength of Virtual Circle is higher than Soul Society, but it’s chaotic and unordered. Except for Aizen’s part of the territory, the other areas are in a chaotic battle.

After reviewing Komamura Sajin’s data, Su Xiao is even more certain of this point. If he and Aizen enter the Virtual Circle, they will have to deal with Fifth Tier contractors whose strength is unknown.

Although Su Xiao doesn’t possess Fifth Tier combat strength, he is not afraid of dealing with Fifth Tier contractors. What bothers him is if he participates in the final battle, he will likely be used as cannon fodder by Aizen.

Aizen still needs Su Xiao’s combat strength and skills right now; on the surface, they are collaborators. By the time of the final battle, although Aizen won’t stab Su Xiao in the back, he won’t care about Su Xiao’s life or death. That guy is likely to set up Su Xiao to face 2-3 not weak Death God Captains simultaneously.

This is not Su Xiao with a jaundiced view of Aizen. Looking around, who has had a good ending cooperating with Aizen? Kaname Tosen died by Aizen’s hand, Gin Ichimaru did as well.

That’s why Su Xiao took action tonight. He wants to take advantage of his cooperation with Aizen to acquire a large number of Zanpakutō and treasure chests, as for entering the Virtual Circle, that’s still under consideration. If Su Xiao can benefit greatly before entering the Virtual Circle, he may not need to go there.

Su Xiao currently has two objectives: to eliminate the violator Death Omen and to seize Zanpakutō.

Previously, Su Xiao frequently interacted with Aizen, this Death Omen must know. If Su Xiao enters the Virtual Circle, Death Omen might not be able to find Su Xiao again, because Death Omen doesn’t know what the penalty for failing the hunting task is. With Death Omen’s impulsive nature, she might be more anxious than Su Xiao.

As for seizing Zanpakutō, that’s exactly what Su Xiao is currently doing. Many contractors follow the derivative world’s event developments to obtain benefits. Su Xiao, however, takes a different path, starting with a disguise, and then finding ways to create opportunities.

Komamura Sajin appearing alone near Hollows Street already indicates that Su Xiao’s plan is effective. Without the identity of researchers, he couldn’t achieve this.

Thus, things have become much more straightforward and brutal, which is also the effect Su Xiao wants. He took the risk to enter the Bleach World only because there were enough Zanpakutō here.

”Then let’s begin.”

Su Xiao seemed to have planned many things, but in reality, only a few seconds had passed.

Boom!

The soil beneath Su Xiao’s feet flew sideways, the night wind slightly cool, he rushed in a few steps to Komamura Sajin’s front, the long knife slashing towards Komamura Sajin’s neck at a cunning angle, this is a habitual first blade aimed at the opponent’s neck.

Komamura Sajin, standing nearly three meters tall, is no push-over; his reaction is extremely fast. The long knife in his hand immediately aligns horizontally by his side, showing Komamura Sajin’s rich combat experience from this point.

With the jangle of metal, sound waves reverberated, and the black robe Su Xiao wore showed traces of splits. After all, it’s just ordinary clothing.

Though Komamura Sajin has been using knives for years, he doesn’t emphasize technique much; most death gods are similar. They primarily use sword pressure, spiritual pressure, ghost path, Shikai to fight. As for technique, they don’t value it; even Yamamoto Genryuusai is like this.

This combat style, to put it nicely, is a force-breaking technique; to say it meanly, it’s swinging batons, defeating enemies based on energy and strength disparity. Battles between death gods are essentially hacking each other, competing whose spiritual pressure is stronger, and the development level of Shikai abilities.

No doubt, in Su Xiao’s perception, Komamura Sajin’s action of raising the knife to block seemed like swinging batons.

Both blades clashed, Su Xiao and Komamura Sajin leaned forward simultaneously, maintaining balance. In terms of slicing power, Komamura Sajin was stronger, but he couldn’t force Su Xiao back.

Komamura Sajin’s eyes slightly widened, a heavy feeling appeared on Su Xiao’s shoulder. This was Komamura Sajin’s spiritual pressure; captain-level death gods don’t need to draw their blades when fighting regular death gods, releasing spiritual pressure is sufficient.

Just as Komamura Sajin released his spiritual pressure, he suddenly felt a whistling sound of breaking wind coming from his flank, and the force on the Zanpakutō suddenly eased.

Almost an instinctive act, Komamura Sajin lifted his left arm to block his side.

With a bang, Su Xiao kicked sideways at Komamura Sajin’s forearm, using the recoil from the kick to leap from the spot, another foot pressing against Komamura Sajin’s abdomen, he somersaulted backward,

Before leaping, Su Xiao made a diagonal slash, the long knife slashing directly towards Komamura Sajin’s face.

As the bright blade light swept past, Su Xiao had already jumped out; Komamura Sajin’s powerful slash missed.

With a snap, the bamboo face mask on Komamura Sajin’s face broke into two pieces, revealing his true face.

Watching Su Xiao gently land, Komamura Sajin was visibly puzzled, because he couldn’t figure out how Su Xiao managed to perform that series of actions.

Su Xiao is not a Power Type, he is Skill Type. However, when the enemy is weaker, he will temporarily become a Brute Force Type, as it kills enemies faster.

No sooner had Su Xiao landed than he sliced a virtual blade into the air, the blade aura flying out, heading straight for Komamura Sajin.

Just after launching the blade aura, Su Xiao immediately followed it, rushing straight at Komamura Sajin.

If Komamura Sajin uses the Zanpakutō to slice through the blade aura, given his slicing power, at the moment he slices through the blade aura, he will pause for an instant, and that’s the opportunity.

Indeed, Komamura Sajin’s sword technique is swinging batons, but this doesn’t mean he lacks combat strength. Although death gods use swords, very few truly fight using slicing. Zanpakutō Shikai abilities each have unique features.

Most Zanpakutō, after Shikai, are not knife type weapons, so more than 80% of death gods are not adept at sword techniques. Some death gods, after Shikai, don’t even have a knife, so they naturally have no need to study sword techniques, which makes sense.

Facing the blade aura head-on, Komamura Sajin held the Zanpakutō horizontally before him.

”Reverberate, Heavenly Punishment.”

Just as Komamura Sajin spoke, the blade aura reached him, and almost instantly, a gigantic long knife descended vertically.

With a thunderous sound, vast ground shattered, that blade aura certainly did not survive.

At this moment, Komamura Sajin was reverse-gripping the Zanpakutō, maintaining a downward stab posture. His Zanpakutō has been Initial Released, and that gigantic Zanpakutō and massive arm that appeared out of thin air were summoned by him, formed from spirits, forming arms and weapons.

The giant Zanpakutō slowly dissipated, Su Xiao’s previous forward momentum had long stopped, or rather, he was waiting, waiting for Komamura Sajin to use Shikai power, when the opponent uses Shikai power, it spells death for him.

Komamura Sajin’s gaze directly hit Su Xiao because he was shocked to discover that this seemingly weak researcher had strength that seemed to surpass his!

Having fought till now, Komamura Sajin certainly harbors great killing intent; Su Xiao’s identity within Jingling Court is too special, in any case, Komamura Sajin must eliminate Su Xiao. There is no personal grudge between the two, hence neither did they provoke each other with words, their only difference is in stance, whoever is weaker, dies, that’s how it works in a power-honing Soul Society.
