Not Being a Trainer This Time

It looked at the human in front of it and said seriously: ”Chien-Pao.” (Thank you.)

Naoki chuckled and shook his head: ”No need to be polite, come on, drink this cup of red tea first.”

Hearing this, Chien-Pao looked down at the cup of red tea pushed in front of it.

Could this cup of red tea really rid it of the power of calamity that had formed from greed and desire?

After a moment of silence, Chien-Pao lowered its head, stuck out its tongue, and started to lap the tea from the cup.

As Chien-Pao finished the last sip of the red tea, a dazzling light erupted from its body.

Within the light, strands of black mist released from Chien-Pao’s body.

When the light faded, a snow leopard Pokemon with fur even whiter, eyes more crystal blue, and paw pads tenderer appeared before Naoki.

Chien-Pao was reborn!

What a cute snow leopard!

Naoki suddenly had the urge to reach out and touch Chien-Pao’s fur.

But now wasn’t the time for that, he quickly asked: ”How do you feel? Is there anything different about your body?”

Chien-Pao furrowed its brows, carefully sensing the new information in its mind.

It hesitantly replied: ”Chien-Pao...” (I seem to have gained a new strength from it.)

”What is it?”

Chien-Pao: ”Chien-Pao.” (My sword has gained the power to cut down evils, and in winter, I can also summon snowstorms to protect the flowers, plants, trees, and crops in the fields, allowing them to grow better the next year.)

This is...

In Naoki’s mind, a saying immediately appeared.

Does timely snow promise a prosperous year?

As for cutting down evils, perhaps it’s about the special attack on Ghost-type Pokemon?

For ordinary farmers, this is indeed a very useful ability.

Because this world also has crops like [winter wheat].

And it can be planted on the ranch, though Naoki felt he had been busy all year, so he should take a good rest in winter, which is why he has never touched on these things.

”Congratulations, Chien-Pao.” Naoki congratulated.

He glanced at Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, and Wo-Chien beside him.

One gained the ability to make the soil fertile, protect the earth from calamities, and prevent earthquakes.

One gained the ability to bring blessings and auspiciousness to humans and Pokemon through flames, also bringing good luck to those who pray.

Another gained the ability to provide nutrients to nearby vegetation, nurturing forest growth, and blessing flowers, plants, and fruit trees with a bountiful harvest.

Along with Chien-Pao’s snowstorm blessings.

Naoki thought that these four Pokemon could no longer be called Ruinous Pokemon.

They should be called Auspicious Pokemon instead.

No wonder these are culinary wonders of the Anyway Series! Those ideas that only existed in imagination were actually achieved!

Naoki sighed in his heart, and he looked at the three Pokemon other than Ting-Lu and asked: ”Do you have any plans for the future?”

Hearing this, Ting-Lu, Chi-Yu, Chien-Pao, and the slow Wo-Chien exchanged glances.

”Moo moo!” (Ho ho ho, I’ve already decided before to stay here and protect the peace of the ranch for Naoki!) Ting-Lu was the first to reply.

Chi-Yu gently swayed its tail fin and looked at Naoki with its bead-shaped eyes, softly saying:

”Chi-Yu.” (You rescued me from imprisonment, not only that but also rid me of the power of calamity. I have nothing to repay you with, I can only use my newly gained strength to contribute to this place. From now on, please take care of me, Naoki.)

Wo-Chien: ”Wo-Chien—!” (I’m the same, ooh—”

Wo-Chien smacked its lips: ”Wo-Chien...” (The sunlight here is so comfortable, I really just want to bask in the sun and sleep...zzZ!)

Wo-Chien fell asleep.

Naoki: ”...”

Finally, Chien-Pao looked seriously at the human in front of it.

After a moment, it calmly spoke: ”Chien-Pao.” (We have been affected by the power of calamity because of greedy humans; only you did not treat us as precious treasures but just ordinary Pokemon.)

In Chien-Pao’s mind, the scene of being knocked down by this human’s Pokemon flashed.

Plus, the other party helped rid it of the power of calamity, so it already recognized the other in its heart.

Thinking of this, Chien-Pao continued:

”Chien-Pao.” (So, I am also willing to stay here.)
