His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1639: Chapter 458: The Beginning and the End (Part 4)

Qin Mu lowered her head, calmly nibbling on that half apple, and smiled lightly after hearing Grandpa’s questioning, then pondered for a moment.

”Grandpa! I made him unhappy first!”

Qin Mu looked up at Grandpa, her eyes genuine, and her words seemed sincere too.

Yet Grandpa, seeing her at this moment, felt even more heartache.

Qin Mu had never complained to him about Mu Yichen, he knew well that his grandson inherited his temperament, how good could he be? It was probably some little matter that pissed him off, making Qin Mu upset, but Qin Mu said nothing, nor could anything be drawn out from his grandson, leaving the old man to helplessly sigh.

”Just the two of you at home?”

Mu Yichen finally walked in, Grandpa instinctively raised his eyes and caught sight of him, while Qin Mu, with her back turned, did not turn around, just gripping the apple, forcefully eating.

Mu Yichen walked over and sat down, lowered his head slightly to glance at her, then looked at Grandpa: ”Where are Mom and Dad?”

”Your Uncle Zhao’s grandson is having a hundred-day celebration, they took the kids and went to their banquet! Tonight, I can have a couple of drinks again, haha!”

The old man couldn’t help laughing when he said he could have a couple of drinks again.

”You’d better not drink, Mom caught you last time!”

Qin Mu murmured.

”I figured it out later, she was counting the bottles, tonight I’ll pour some plain water in after drinking, and she won’t notice the smell anyway.”

The old man explained to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu didn’t know what to say, she always felt the old man sneakily drinking was cute, as long as his health was okay.

”What is this, policies from above and countermeasures below?”

Mu Yichen chuckled lightly asking him.

”What can I do? Usually, they’re so strict, now finally they aren’t home, I have to sneak in a few more sips!”

The old man shrugged, a look of helplessness on his face.

Qin Mu slightly raised her eyes, couldn’t help but laugh lightly.

When she laughed, it was like it could melt even the iciest heart, except for Mu Yichen, naturally.

It’s not that his frozen heart couldn’t melt, but once melted, it could immediately freeze again.

Mu Yichen said no more, he wasn’t very happy inside, and wasn’t fond of drama at home.

After dinner, Qin Mu returned to her room, snow began to fall outside, and her phone began to ring slowly on the bed.

Qin Mu got up from the sofa, went to the bedside to pick up the phone.

”The car broke down, your dad and I, with the siblings, are sleeping at the hotel, no need to wait for us!”

Feng Fanghua was calling Qin Mu from the hotel.

”Mom! Goodnight!”

”Mom, don’t worry about us, we’re very happy!”

Chengcheng and Huanhuan grabbed the phone to talk to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu couldn’t help but laugh lightly after hearing: ”Then you two behave, don’t tire Grandpa and Grandma too much, alright? Huanhuan, take good care of your brother!”

”Okay! I know! Goodbye Mom!”

Huanhuan promised, then waved at the phone.

Feng Fanghua watched her granddaughter lead the grandson to another room, smiled as if saying, your mom can’t see you waving, silly girl.

Qin Mu exchanged a few words with Feng Fanghua again, after Feng Fanghua asked if the old man was drinking, Qin Mu truthfully said he just had a small glass, Feng Fanghua felt at ease and hung up, while Qin Mu simply had to go out.

She opened the door just as Mu Yichen was about to come in.

Qin Mu instinctively looked up, Mu Yichen gazed down at her with slippers on, softly asked: ”Where are you going?”

”Mom called to say she won’t be back to sleep tonight, I’m going to tell Grandpa.”

Mu Yichen went into the room, Qin Mu lowered her head and went out, then headed to Grandpa’s room.

Mu Yichen stood at the door for a while, when Qin Mu returned, he was still standing there, she was a bit surprised when she saw him, then asked again: ”What are you standing here for?”

”Thinking!”

Mu Yichen’s dark eyes looked at her, deeply.

Qin Mu’s eyes moved slightly, not knowing what he was thinking, and didn’t want to ask, just went in first.

But later, when they lay down, Mu Yichen, who hadn’t hugged her for a long time, suddenly moved to her side.

Qin Mu’s heart suddenly raced wildly, then slightly turned her head, and looked back at the curtains: ”Time to sleep!”

”Before sleeping, we still need to do something!”

——

The next morning.

Qin Mu got out of bed carefree and went to accompany the old man to practice Tai Chi, whereas Mu Yichen stood at the room’s glass front, not intending to go out at all.
