His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1550: Chapter 434: Mrs. Mu Was Schemed by Mr. Mu (Part 4)

The snowflakes are still falling.

”But why do girls have to be strong? I heard that if girls are too strong, no boy would want them!”

Qin Mu suddenly thought of a reason to refuse and argued with him rationally.

Mu Yichen stood in front of her with two bags on his back, looking a bit displeased at her.

”Who said that? How come I don’t know?”

”That’s what the classmates say! If girls run for too long, their calves will have muscles. Don’t boys prefer girls’ bodies to be soft?”

Snowflakes drifted past before their eyes without pausing for even a second, but at that moment, for Qin Mu and Mu Yichen...

Qin Mu finally returned to reality because Mu Yichen’s call came through.

Mu Yichen had been waiting at the door of her studio for a while. The snow outside was getting heavier, but there was still no sign of her returning, so he took out his phone to call her.

Qin Mu didn’t know what was going through Mu Yichen’s mind at that time, but she never forgot his bright eyes.

He seemed so helpless with her!

”Hello?”

Qin Mu answered the call.

”Where are you? Why aren’t you back yet?”

Mu Yichen asked her. He initially didn’t want to call, planning to give her a surprise.

Or perhaps a scare! But her delayed return turned into a complaint.

”I’m on the road! Back where?”

Qin Mu asked him, genuinely baffled by his question.

”I’m at your studio door! Can you be back in ten minutes?”

”Uh, almost!”

Qin Mu replied blankly, looked around to confirm her direction, and then restarted the car.

The car was filled only with her voice, but suddenly it felt warm again. All the windows were closed, and she drove away earnestly.

After Mu Yichen hung up the phone, he didn’t go inside but stood outside waiting for her.

When it’s snowing, it’s not too cold, just a habitual feeling that he must see her immediately.

Although he was angry about being left alone in the hotel by Mrs. Mu last night, all that anger seemed just like a playful form of love communication during idle moments with her.

He didn’t know when he became so sentimental, always feeling like their love had reached some selfless extent.

Spending all day loving each other like this!

Mu Yichen lit a cigarette and walked towards the lake.

The side was already covered with a layer of ice, but it was very thin.

This spot was too good; as long as the sun came out, it could bask every day, so it was hard for thick ice to form.

Qin Mu drove to the parking lot, but she still saw Mu Yichen’s back before she drove over.

After parking the car, she walked over because Mu Yichen didn’t turn around.

There was no snow accumulation on the ground, as if it slid off immediately after falling, but the snowflakes were indeed quite large, piece by piece.

”Hey!”

Qin Mu walked over, lightly patted his shoulder, and then stood beside him.

Mu Yichen took a puff of his cigarette, squinting at her, ”Are you cold dressed like that?”

Seeing that she wore only a shirt under her coat, he was a bit worried she’d catch a cold.

Qin Mu shook her head, ”Not cold! But why are you here at this time?”

”Of course, to collect a debt!”

This excuse was indeed quite clever!

Mu Yichen looked at Qin Mu’s nervous and guilty expression and chuckled lightly.

”Haha! What debt to collect? The person is already yours!”

Qin Mu gently hooked his arm, her eyes tender as water, her voice soft as if it could melt.

Mu Yichen laughed again, but his eyes were sharp, capturing the tiny hint of guilt in her eyes.

Qin Mu continued smiling at him, ”Are we going upstairs now? Or going home?”

”Let’s walk!”

Mu Yichen said, finishing his cigarette and tossing it into the lake, then put his hands in his pockets and turned to walk away.

Qin Mu stood there watching him walk off and had to catch up.

She didn’t know what he was thinking, but she always felt he was thinking of faraway things. Mu Yichen especially liked being with her on snowy days, so Qin Mu quickened her pace.

”Mu Yichen!”

Mu Yichen slightly turned his head, glanced at her, and then continued walking.

”Wait for me!”

Qin Mu hurried to grab his hand tightly so he wouldn’t walk too fast.

”Why are you calling me?”

Mu Yichen’s deep voice asked her.

”Hmm, I was thinking, it seems like you really like finding me immediately when it snows, both now and before! Right?”

She wanted to confirm something, so she asked.

Mu Yichen said nothing, only lowered his head and walked slowly, ensuring she could keep up with him.

If it were before, she wouldn’t have taken the initiative to hook his arm.

”Please tell me!”

Her voice was soft, and just listening made Mu Yichen feel as though he might surrender.

”Why ask this all of a sudden?”

Mu Yichen asked her again.

”Hmm, it’s all because it suddenly started snowing. I was supposed to go to the studio earlier, but seeing the snow made me stop, and I remembered when we were kids. You used to pick me up from school every time it snowed. Do you remember?”

Qin Mu looked at him expectantly, her eyes full of longing.

Mu Yichen still didn’t look at her, just walking leisurely and thinking about those times.

He couldn’t help but find her.

She was terribly scared of those days back then, as if facing the end of the world, or perhaps an even more terrifying feeling.
