His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1506: Chapter 423: Confidence (Part 2)

”I...”

Xiaomei impulsively wanted to speak, but she really couldn’t bring herself to say it.

Yes! Last night, if she had been sober, she would definitely have gone back to the apartment everyone stays at, because reason would force her to do so, but she was drunk, so being taken away by Zhao Huai had such a perfect excuse.

Xiaomei understood herself best, she didn’t want to be separated from Zhao Huai.

”Hey! He was really joking with you, do you really want to separate from him for a while because of this joke? Be awkward for a while?”

Qin Mu asked her again.

”But... but... that’s really not having any dignity!”

If she didn’t react at all and lived with him again, she’d always feel like she was beneath him, like she was marrying up.

”Dignity? If this is called having no dignity, then all the couples in the world lack dignity, because what’s wrong with constantly tolerating when you love someone? It’s just cherishing them.”

Qin Mu patiently explained to her.

As Xiaomei listened, gradually, her mood settled a bit, and it seemed like there wasn’t that much grievance anymore.

”Miss Xiaomei, our young mistress has asked us to prepare some fresh fruits and snacks, I’ve heard they’re all your favorites, try some.”

The auntie walked in again, carrying a big platter full of fruits, freshly baked pastries, and tea.

When Xiaomei turned her head to look at the items placed on the small tea table, she felt even more touched. In fact, she had already smelled the aroma before turning around, and just happened to have left without breakfast because of a spat with Zhao Huai, so at this moment...

”Thank you!”

She politely thanked the auntie first, who nodded and left, then she glanced at Qin Mu: ”Then I...”

”Go eat!”

Qin Mu didn’t laugh at her, just looked at her puffy eyes and felt a bit of pity.

”I can’t finish it all by myself, want to join me?”

Xiaomei couldn’t help but smile, feeling a bit shy as she asked Qin Mu.

”Alright then!”

Qin Mu thought, if you could finish it all, I’d be impressed.

So the two of them happily sat on the sofa and started eating.

Xiaomei said: ”When I woke up this morning, I found myself in his bed, and then I ran.”

”And then? Did Zhao Huai call you?”

”I left in such a hurry, I forgot my phone and wallet!”

That’s why she was hungry in the morning.

The two of them sat side by side on the same sofa, so Qin Mu turned her head to look at her, really impressed by her.

”Honestly, I used to think you were a bit naive, but I really didn’t think you were this silly! What’s this about his bed? You two are in a relationship and planning to get married, his is yours.”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but sigh and began to educate her.

”His is his, how can it be mine? Didn’t you often say before, Mu’s is Mu’s, and yours is yours? Being together doesn’t change anything.”

Xiaomei found it a bit hard to accept, so she brought up the old topic.

Qin Mu...

Isn’t this shooting yourself in the foot?

”Even if I said that, you two are in a relationship as equals, you need the confidence that he will commit to you, and has the confidence to give you everything, how can it work without that?”

Xiaomei also turned her head to look at Qin Mu, not quite understanding, so she continued to eat.

Qin Mu sighed again: ”Xiaomei, you need to have that confidence, you’re in no way inferior to him, in this love, both hearts belong to each other, so what additional things can’t be owned by the other?”

”The snacks here are really delicious!”

This time, Xiaomei understood, but she still felt uncomfortable inside, so she wanted to change the subject.

”Then eat more, there’s a playground downstairs, if you’re bored, you can go play, Chengcheng isn’t home today, you can really let loose.”

”Really?”

Xiaomei suddenly perked up.

Qin Mu...

It’s really when talking about serious matters with Xiaomei, she’s always so unserious with you, but when talking about these things, she’s all spirited.

”Remember everything I told you today! Even if you break up and have to leave with nothing, have the confidence while you’re together.”

”I’m just a small assistant!”

Qin Mu couldn’t help but remind her again, and Xiaomei finally couldn’t hold back and said it out loud.

”Are you a small assistant? You’re an administrative assistant at JY Studio, don’t you know the heights of JY? Lots of people fight to get in, but wasn’t it because you’re outstanding that no one has replaced you.”
