God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 977: Chapter 973: Overwhelming Security Forces

Xiao Tian’s thoughts shifted, naturally understanding Sugai Yasuaki’s inner thoughts. He immediately said, ”No need to bother, let her dine at the hotel on her own.”

Sugai Yasuaki was certainly pleased with this, as if afraid Xiao Tian might change his mind, he hurriedly agreed, ”Then we’ll do as Mr. Xiao wishes; I will invite you two separately afterward.”

Having said that, Sugai Yasuaki turned around and left ahead, but he didn’t notice that Xiao Tian’s black backpack had disappeared and, as he closed the door, his fingers inadvertently pressed a discreet button on the wall...

...

Following Sugai Yasuaki outside the hotel, a security personnel dressed in a black suit, wearing sunglasses, quickly stepped forward and opened the car door.

The security personnel was quite thin, and the black suit hung loosely on him, looking somewhat ill-fitting.

However, Sugai Yasuaki’s mind wasn’t on this matter at the moment, and he didn’t pay much attention to the anomaly of the security personnel.

Once Xiao Tian entered through the other car door, the car sped away, leaving behind the person who had opened the car door for Sugai Yasuaki standing in place.

A moment later, when the car vanished around the corner, the person who looked like security flashed his eyes twice, then quickly walked away in the opposite direction...

...

The journey was silent. When Xiao Tian followed Sugai Yasuaki out of the car and arrived at the wedding venue, he was met with two teams of impressive honor guards dressed in uniforms. The teams were in perfect alignment, equipped with eye-catching rifles that gleamed dangerously in the sunlight.

With just one glance, Xiao Tian somewhat understood that these were surely the ceremonial guards responsible for receiving guests, specifically attending important occasions to showcase the royal family’s majesty and exceptional status and power.

However, in Xiao Tian’s view, having such heavily armed guards at the entrance of a joyous occasion like a wedding was a bit off-putting, revealing a strong sense of discord.

Unlike him, today’s groom Sugai Yasuaki seemed indifferent to this, casually walking toward the hall.

As they entered the hall interior, where seats were fully occupied with many like-minded individuals gathered together, their faces beaming with enthusiastic smiles. Among them were many public figures, who had arrived early.

Sugai Yasuaki, as the groom of today’s wedding, was naturally a focal point, while Xiao Tian was quickly intercepted halfway by two individuals.

”Sir, please show your invitation card!” One person said politely.

Xiao Tian furrowed his eyebrows, and after fumbling around his body, he realized the invitation might have been left behind at the hotel, so he candidly said, ”Sorry, I forgot to bring it.”

Immediately, the other stepped forward, putting on a strict, impartial expression: ”Without an invitation, you cannot enter!”

”Should I go back and get it?” Xiao Tian looked at Sugai Yasuaki, who was waiting not far away, and asked.

No way would Sugai Yasuaki allow Xiao Tian to leave; he immediately returned and smilingly asked the two who blocked Xiao Tian, ”Do you know me?”

These two were from the Mizuno Clan; how could they not recognize a prominent figure like Sugai Yasuaki within the organization? They nodded quickly to show they knew him.

It’s a joke; not to mention Sugai Yasuaki’s engagement with the royal family’s little princess, the recent overwhelming news about him has almost inundated the media, surely no one wouldn’t know him, given his fame.

Seeing them nod, Sugai Yasuaki smiled and nodded back, ”That gentleman is my friend; the invitation was mistakenly left in the hotel room, please let him through.”

Since Sugai Yasuaki had spoken, the two couldn’t continue blocking Xiao Tian, so they had to withdraw their solemn expressions, squeezing out smiles more pitiful than crying, and gestured with hands extended in either direction: ”Please enter!”

With the pathway cleared, Xiao Tian followed Sugai Yasuaki inward again, but as soon as they officially entered the hall, everyone stood up sharply, and a thunderous, wave-like applause echoed from all directions.

Xiao Tian couldn’t help but be startled. Is this some kind of unique custom?

But as he followed the trails of attention directed towards Sugai Yasuaki beside him, he understood that the applause was not meant for himself.

Of course, if everyone had to stand and clap to welcome each new entrant, that would be exhausting!

With a bright smile, Sugai Yasuaki waved to quiet the cheering crowd, said a few courtesy lines, indicated Xiao Tian could find a place to sit freely, and went about his other matters.

And Xiao Tian was happy with the peace, settling into an inconspicuous, sparsely populated corner, he began a detailed observation of his surroundings.

Mere moments later, Xiao Tian couldn’t help feeling that it was indeed the union of two colossal forces, the level of security was indeed extraordinary!

Even a preliminary estimate led Xiao Tian to a staggering ratio—the number of guests to security personnel was almost one to one, not counting those in plain clothes wandering about under the guise of patrolling.

After reaching this conclusion, Xiao Tian coldly chuckled inwardly. No wonder Sugai Yasuaki felt confident leaving him alone here; with such security forces, no wonder he felt secure!

Moreover, some renowned experts from the Mizuno Clan were present in the hall as well, deliberately lowering their presence, impossible to detect unless intentionally sought.

Of course, to discover them requires the observer to be of equally formidable strength and perceptiveness; ordinary people would have no chance of picking up on them.

Besides, the royal security forces were substantial too, with high-level experts numbering similar to those of the Mizuno Clan, Though it’s unclear whether this was genuinely necessary or intentional. Xiao Tian leaned towards the latter.

After all, gathering such experts equates to the full strength of a mid-tier faction or organization, used to maintain order at a wedding seems like overkill, using a sledgehammer on a nut!

These observations were but a rough estimate; delving further would risk detection, so Xiao Tian dared not investigate deeper.

Still, even this approximate analysis was enough to stir him deeply.

Xiao Tian seriously considered, given his current abilities, should he face so many experts simultaneously, even fleeing desperately would likely result in significant injury.

Upon reaching this thought, Xiao Tian couldn’t help mocking himself with a laugh, puzzling why such thoughts occurred, as if he intended to fight them?

Shaking his head, Xiao Tian decided not to dwell on such pointless musings, focusing instead on awaiting the bride’s arrival... she should be stunning today!
