God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 33: Chapter 31: Death Race

The call was from Lan Qi.

In the call, Lan Qi’s voice was very anxious because the gang of robbers had struck again since the last time.

However, this time they didn’t kidnap Lan Xiujie; instead, tonight, they directly stole the target object.

Lan Qi was directly involved in the research project—the finished product information of the invisible fighter jet, a vital research document of national ssss confidentiality level!

It was actually stolen by thieves!

And these people escaped from Lan Qi’s house unharmed!

Clearly showing the severity of this matter!

Since the kidnapping, Lan Qi’s house had been heavily guarded, not exactly impenetrable, but certainly airtight, yet these people managed to succeed in such an environment and successfully escaped, proving this gang was extraordinary and far superior to the previous kidnappers.

Although the police had already sent people in pursuit, to be safe, Lan Qi still called Xiao Tian immediately.

Because with Xiao Tian, there was a greater chance of retrieving the data.

Both for public and private reasons, Xiao Tian had reasons to participate in the chase, so he readily agreed to Lan Qi, assuring him that he would definitely not let the thieves succeed.

Coincidentally, the direction the robbers were fleeing towards was exactly where Xiao Tian was currently based, in the East Suburb.

This saved Xiao Tian a lot of effort, and he could just lay in wait here.

Buzz—

Buzz—

Buzz—

...

The engines roared down the mountain road, and Xiao Tian looked intently ahead.

Three off-road vehicles were wildly driving up the mountain.

The off-road speed was extremely fast, leaving behind a convoy of police cars with sirens blaring far in the distance.

These must be the thieves!

He had to intercept them!

Xiao Tian clenched his fists, his mind racing to think of a strategy.

Roar—

Roar—

Roar—

...

The three off-roads drew closer and closer.

At this moment, a group of street racers also heard the sound of police sirens.

Such underground racing was illegal and prohibited.

And these racers, mostly rich and spoiled young men, were not afraid of the police sirens but rather excitedly shouted, ”Holy crap, the cops are here! Guys, our race is going to be more thrilling today!”

”Oh yeah! Guys, let’s make it a wild ride!”

The crowd was excited, and the racers all started their racing cars, driving them to the starting line.

They were ready to continue the race, proving they were also a group of lawless people.

Seeing this, Xiao Tian suddenly realized how foolish he had been.

This is a racing spot, so he would use a car to stop the cars!

Having thought this through, Xiao Tian suddenly turned around and looked at Nie Lan, urgently saying, ”Quick, get me a car!”

Originally standing behind Xiao Tian, complaining about his lack of understanding, Nie Lan suddenly heard Xiao Tian say this and broke into a smile, asking, ”Did you agree to the race? Great!”

”Stop talking nonsense, hurry up and get me a car!” Faced with this crazy woman, Xiao Tian was at a loss.

”Alright then, if we win some money, I’m not greedy, let’s split it fifty-fifty.” At this moment, Nie Lan still had the mind to negotiate.

”Get the car!”

”Why so fierce! Fine, I’ll get it!”

While looking for a car.

Buzz—

Buzz—

Buzz—

...

Because Nie Lan delayed with a couple of sentences, the three off-road vehicles had already whizzed past Xiao Tian, shooting up the hillside.

Xiao Tian grew anxious and saw there was an old model Chevrolet nearby. He quickly opened the car door and yanked out a skinny young man from inside.

As he pulled out the young man, he smoothly grabbed the car keys.

Vroom—

The car started instantly, and once Xiao Tian was inside, he slammed the door shut.

Buzz—

The car shot out like a bolt of lightning, directly towards the starting line on the slope.

”Hey! My car!”

After the car drove about ten meters, the young man finally reacted and yelled.

The off-road cars sped along like the wind, completely ignoring the racing cars at the starting line ahead.

Amidst a frenzy of cheers and whistles from the crowd.

Roar, buzz—

Roar, buzz—

Roar, buzz—

...

The racing cars ahead finally sped away like horses freed from their reins.

These are long-term enthusiasts in illegal racing, the supercars just hit the road and were immediately pushed to over two hundred miles per hour, almost in the blink of an eye they sped hundreds of meters away.

”Oh yeah! Awesome!”

Amidst a thunderous shout, three SUVs and an old model Chevrolet behind, unequivocally caught up.

This winding mountain road in the East Suburb is even steeper, more winding, and narrower than the ’Devil’s Loop’ on Feather Mountain Dao.

It’s a veritable death track.

The supercar drivers who went ahead first saw the closely following SUVs, they frantically pushed the car to the highest speed, intending to leave the SUVs behind.

In the leading SUV, several men in black grinned coldly and arrogantly said, ”A bunch of little crawlers dare to race us in speed, Old Third, show them what top-notch drivers are!”

”Okay.” The man in black on the driver’s seat responded, stepped on the gas, and the SUV roared like a beast chasing the supercar at the back.

The narrow road ahead only allows one car to pass, yet the SUV didn’t pause at all.

The driver inside the supercar saw the SUV intending to overtake on such a narrow road, if the SUV caught up, the supercar on the outer lane would be pushed out of the track and fall into the deep ravine below.

This is simply murder!

The driver in the supercar cursed angrily, stomped the gas pedal to the floor, leaving no speed in reserve, trying to safely pass through this narrow road.

The ones inside the SUV are desperadoes, they are not committing murder, but blatant killing.

The SUV, without giving the supercar a chance, had been illegally modified to increase its speed beyond the normal range for the vehicle.

The man in black driving the SUV gave a cruel smile and charged straight for the narrow road.

Bang——

A muffled sound, both cars collided side by side.

Screech——

The two still speeding cars created sparks and an ear-piercing scraping sound of metal instantly emanated between them.

Withstanding the collision force from the SUV, the supercar driver clenched his teeth, gripping the steering wheel tightly, resisting desperately.

However, the disadvantageous position of the supercar determined his fate.

Vroom——

The SUV successfully drove through the narrow road.

Boom——

The supercar unfortunately fell into the deep ravine.

Luckily, the supercar driver, who has long participated in such races, had the skill to escape, and jumped out of the supercar at the first moment, preserving his life.

The men in black inside the SUV glanced proudly and arrogantly at the crashed supercar and laughed sinisterly.

Then, without any pause, they charged once more towards the supercars ahead.

Along the way, the SUV acted like a fierce beast, using this reckless and savage driving method, catching and causing every supercar ahead to crash and stop almost.

The rich kids watching from afar on the hillside, unclear of the situation, saw this scene and thought that the SUV was genuinely awesome, even cheering, screaming, and admiring it.

On the hillside, Nie Lan was a bit anxious because within her sight, she had not yet seen Xiao Tian’s car.

”That fool, with that car he picked, how can he compete against them!” Nie Lan muttered in complaint.

The car Xiao Tian drove away just now was the worst old model Chevrolet here. Even if Nie Lan believed in Xiao Tian’s superb driving skills, compared to these high-performance luxury cars, this car was too inferior!

Nie Lan gloomily felt she had no hope of winning.

”Yo, Nie Lan, what are you looking at? Don’t tell me you’re still hoping that dimwit you brought can win the race?” said the little delinquent girl, who wasn’t participating in this race either, as she went over to Nie Lan and began mocking her.

”Don’t be delusional, did you see that awesome SUV? Although we don’t know which god is driving it, today’s top spot will definitely be his.”

Nie Lan thought there was some truth in what the little delinquent girl said, but her heart was still with Xiao Tian, watching the track unblinkingly.

She felt a faint worry: Could his car have been wrecked by those two SUVs behind?

Vroom——

Vroom——

With two roaring sounds, two SUVs appeared in the spectators’ view driving side by side.

Vroom——

Following closely, Xiao Tian’s Chevrolet finally appeared.

The SUV was ahead, and the Chevrolet followed closely.

Inside the two SUVs, several men in black still sat.

In the right lane SUV, the man in black in the passenger seat glanced at the rearview mirror, frowned, and said in confusion, ”What’s going on? This Chevrolet at the back doesn’t look like it’s in the race?”

”Hmm, it seems like it’s intentionally chasing us.” said the man in black sitting in the back seat.

”Damn, could it be the cops we shook off calling in reinforcements?” another man in black said.

”Very likely, Old Five, find a way to shake him off.” said the man in black in the passenger seat to the man driving.

The man in black driving took a look at the Chevrolet in the rearview mirror, raised his eyebrows, sneered coldly, ”We’ve already reached such a good spot, why use the foolish method of shaking him off, isn’t it better to directly cause his car to crash and burn?”

”You’re right, let me signal Old Six and the others.” said the man in black in the passenger seat, making some gestures to the driver of the other SUV beside them.

The two SUVs communicated, and the men in black inside them all wore cruel smiles as if they could already see Xiao Tian’s car wrecked and ruined.

Inside the Chevrolet, Xiao Tian’s expression was grim, driving at high speed while planning how to stop the bandits.

After a downhill road, Xiao Tian noticed the two SUVs ahead, previously driving side by side, suddenly staggered, forming a one-behind-another formation. This opened up a large space in the left lane, these bandits actually provided Xiao Tian with an opportunity to overtake.

If the Chevrolet kept following behind, the chances of Xiao Tian forcing or intercepting the two SUVs would be very slim.

In a disadvantaged position, Xiao Tian would pay a high price.

However, as long as he reached ahead of them, Xiao Tian could think of a better plan, potentially minimizing the cost.

So, this was a chance!

But soon, Xiao Tian realized, this was also a lure!

Inside the SUV in front of Xiao Tian, the man in black at the wheel glanced at the Chevrolet behind, gave a sinister smile, ”Xiaoyu’Er, come on over!”

Inside the Chevrolet, Xiao Tian stared intently at the SUV, pulled out a smile, ”Even if it’s a lure, I’ve taken the bait!”

With that, Xiao Tian gripped the steering wheel tightly, his right foot on the gas pedal tensed gradually.
