God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 11: Chapter 10

”There’s the sound of a rooster crowing on the other end of the phone, along with the sound of a river and a steamship starting up, and the cries of fish vendors. It must be a dock, and there aren’t many places like it. We can ask an experienced patrol officer to confirm the location and quickly pinpoint where the kidnappers are hiding.” Xiao Tian said, astonishing everyone.

His words shocked the audience!

A rooster crowing? Vendor cries? That guy had just come in; how could he hear that?

”Xiao Tian!!”

Seeing Xiao Tian appear, Xu Ying and Lan Qi were taken aback and hurriedly went to greet him: ”When did you return? Why didn’t you tell us so that your brother and sister-in-law could come to pick you up!”

The officers present were stunned; Lan Qi was a prominent figure in Shanghai, even mingling with minister-level people.

Even their director had to bow and nod when meeting him. Yet, such a person was treating this young man, who looked like a wanderer, so warmly?

This guy seems barely in his twenties. Could he have some incredible background?

”Didn’t I come just in time?” Xiao Tian smiled, but his eyes were cold.

He was an old acquaintance of Lan Qi and Xu Ying, so close that their son called Xiao Tian godfather!

The two immediately understood what Xiao Tian meant, and their expressions became more excited. Xu Ying even knelt down, crying and pleading, ”Dear Tian, you must save Zhengjie. If you don’t, he’s as good as dead!”

Everyone gasped in shock. My god! Who is this young man to make Xu Ying kneel and beg for help, casting aside her dignity?

”Sis, what are you doing? Zhengjie is also my godson; can I watch him die?” Xiao Tian hurried to help Xu Ying up.

The crowd’s expression changed. This young man was Lan Zhengjie’s godfather; he must be on close terms with this couple!

”Exactly, when has Tian ever let us down? Stand up quickly, don’t let others laugh at you!” Lan Qi seemed much more relaxed.

Because he knew that as long as Xiao Tian was on the case, his son would undoubtedly be safe!

The more Lan Qi knew about Xiao Tian, the more confident he felt!

”Tian, do you really have a plan?” Xu Ying looked at Xiao Tian eagerly.

”Sis, have you forgotten what I used to do? A mere group of kidnappers isn’t a problem for me.” Xiao Tian sneered, looking self-assured.

But to Yang He and others, these words sounded extremely offensive.

A mere group of kidnappers? Not a problem? The kidnappers you call mere have fooled all of us, doesn’t that make us look foolish?

”We’ll rely on you then.” Xu Ying instantly beamed and nodded firmly, remembering Xiao Tian’s past feats; dealing with this group of kidnappers should indeed be a breeze.

And at this moment, Yang He’s face darkened. The Lanqi couple would rather turn to Xiao Tian than trust him, which felt rather disdainful.

He asked sullenly, ”Mr. Lan, Mrs. Lan, who is this...”

”I’m the new cop here to report.” Xiao Tian answered first.

”What?” Yang He and others were dumbfounded; this young man with such an influential background was their new colleague?

Lan Qi also frowned and said, ”Tian, with your abilities, isn’t being a cop a waste of talent?”

”It’s only temporary,” Xiao Tian replied casually, then looked at Yang He, ”In the coming days, I plan to take full control of this police station. Do you understand?”

What?

Everyone was astonished at Xiao Tian’s words. Was this guy too audacious, demanding power right after arriving?

”You’re new here and want to take over the entire police station? Do you know what you’re saying?” Yang He reacted with frustration, feeling that Xiao Tian was challenging his authority as the director.

”Director Yang, my brother has connections everywhere and can do anything. I believe as long as he takes action, he can catch the criminals immediately!” At this moment, Lan Qi voluntarily stood forward to support Xiao Tian.

”This...”

Yang He and the others were stunned on the spot. Connections everywhere, can do anything, is it true? Is this young man that capable?

Meanwhile, a beautiful policewoman in the crowd also shot Xiao Tian a curious glance.

She assessed Xiao Tian as he assessed her.

Her almond-shaped eyes, cherry lips, exquisite features, and jade-like skin gave a feeling of pristine clarity, complimented by a poised and heroic spirit, making her even more captivating!

Jiang Chao, that old fellow, didn’t lie; indeed, the West City Branch was full of beauties, and he encountered one on the first day!

Then, Xiao Tian coolly turned to Yang He and said, ”You can refuse my request. It would just mean I make a few more calls, but the final result will be the same, with me in charge here. But it’s different for you, as you might find your career ending here because you offended me.”

The words seemed plain, but they were extremely assertive, with an undertone of threat!

Yang He gritted his teeth, ultimately not daring to provoke the tiger, and humbly said, ”We’ll do everything as you say!”

Clearly, he knew Xiao Tian wasn’t someone to be trifled with!

Xiao Tian then directly looked at the crowd, ordering, ”What are you all standing around for? Did you remember what I just said? Get moving and investigate, huh?”

The crowd swiftly got busy, but at that moment, Ce Shi, the team captain, glared at Xiao Tian with discontent.

”Director, according to the patrol officer, we’ve pinpointed a location!” A police officer suddenly shouted.

Yang He was about to speak but, fearing Xiao Tian, dared not voice a word.

Xiao Tian walked over to look at the computer’s surveillance footage and confirmed, ”This is the place! Gather the team and move out!”

Xiao Tian’s swift and decisive actions quickly influenced the officers present, and they moved quickly as well. Within five minutes, a group of police and SWAT teams were ready to depart.

”Lan, Sis, don’t worry. I will definitely bring Zhengjie back safe and sound,” Xiao Tian assured the Lanqi Couple.

They firmly shook Xiao Tian’s hand, ”Tian, everything depends on you!”

Xiao Tian nodded, then waved his hand, ”Move out!”

......

The grand convoy immediately headed to a dock in the West District.

”Bang!”

A SWAT team immediately broke through the door into a simple tin house, quickly followed by the police, only to find it empty, with only still-warm tea on the table.

And a handgun with the safety removed!

Seeing this, Yang He and the others immediately understood; Xiao Tian was right; this indeed was the kidnappers’ hideout, and the gun was the best proof!

The other side apparently knew they were coming, so they left in a hurry, even forgetting the gun here.

At this moment, everyone looked at Xiao Tian with eyes full of respect!

The person in front was indeed a godsend!

Even the beautiful policewoman’s lovely eyes were filled with curiosity, constantly examining Xiao Tian.

This guy has such a keen mind!

”Mr. Xiao, what should we do now?” Yang He humbly asked Xiao Tian for advice, already sincerely convinced.

”Seal off the area and search on-site,” Xiao Tian decisively ordered, thinking the kidnappers might have left some clues here.

”Search!”

Yang He signaled all the investigative teams to start their work vigorously.

”Hmm?”

But a few minutes later, Xiao Tian’s face changed as if he had sensed something, suddenly shouting, ”Not good! Retreat quickly!”
