God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: A Gaze That Can Kill

As night falls, inside a noisy and bustling bar, frenzied heavy metal music surrounds the entire establishment, and the dance floor is alive with madness.

Yet a lonely figure sits at the edge of the bar, drinking in solitude, and that person is Xiao Tian.

He’s taking sips of ninety-five-degree spirits, holding a yellowed photograph, staring intently at it with an eye full of unattainable longing.

Even he hasn’t noticed he’s been staring at the photograph for nearly an hour.

In the photo, a fresh-faced recruit grins foolishly at the camera, while behind him stands a girl in military dress, but with her arms crossed and back facing the camera, only capturing a proud ponytail, seemingly in anger.

The recruit is Xiao Tian, and that female soldier is the source of Xiao Tian’s pain and madness today.

This is the only photo he kept, the only reminiscence, and each look at it makes his heart wrench, yet whenever longing overwhelms him, he can’t help but recall her even if his heart aches.

At this moment, Xiao Tian lets out a long sigh, tucks the photo back into his chest, and drinks with his head lowered, but deep in his eyes, there’s unshakable pain and melancholy.

The female bartender at the bar looks dazedly at Xiao Tian, this man’s good looks and melancholic temperament stir a strange feeling of wanting to comfort Xiao Tian within her.

Just then, a suave man sits beside Xiao Tian, with a neat and luxurious suit, evidently successful, but in front of Xiao Tian, he still shows the utmost respect and calls him: ”Boss!”

The female bartender is instantly dumbfounded, someone like Young Master Xu would bow and scrape to another and even address him as Boss?

Xiao Tian glanced at him and said indifferently: ”You’re here?”

This Xu Fei is Xiao Tian’s buddy; they’ve known each other since they were children running around naked.

”Boss, you finally came back, I missed you so much.” Xu Fei laughed loudly, eagerly moving to hug Xiao Tian.

Xiao Tian directly kicked him away with a laugh, cursed: ”Get lost, I’m not into men.”

The female bartender only feels dizzy, how dare someone kick Xu Fei, such a notorious figure, she must be mistaken.

Xu Fei wasn’t angry, and he still laughed brightly: ”Fine, no hugs then, but tonight if you don’t drink till you’re wasted, don’t expect to walk out of here!”

”Bring the alcohol!” Xu Fei suddenly slapped the bar.

”Let me.” At this moment, a seductive mature woman walked into the bar, dismissed the female bartender, and personally mixed drinks for Xu Fei and Xiao Tian.

Xiao Tian was momentarily stunned, then saw Xu Fei smiling slyly, immediately figuring out what was going on, but remained composed.

”Young Master Xu has long said his elder brother is a capable man, finally seeing him today.” The mature woman swayed, bringing the drinks with a sweet, flattering smile, full of charm, tempting admiration.

But Xiao Tian’s gaze remained indifferent: ”Oh? What does he say about me?”

”He says you’re a man who can kill with just a look.” The mature woman said with a smile.

”Nonsense, it’s not that exaggerated!” Xiao Tian said irritably.

”Maybe not that exaggerated, but for someone like Young Master Xu to willingly risk everything for you, you must not be a simple person.” The mature woman clearly understood social interactions well, flattering yet appearing genuine and unobtrusive.

”Alright, you two brothers chat slowly, I won’t disturb you, call me if you need anything.” The mature woman said gently.

And after she left, Xiao Tian sneered: ”No wonder you arranged the meeting here, seems like you want to meet an old flame!”

Clearly, he had long seen through Xu Fei’s relationship with the mature woman.

”Let’s drink, let’s drink.” Xu Fei laughed awkwardly, neither admitting nor denying, just continually pouring drinks for Xiao Tian.

After several rounds of drinks, the two brothers began to talk.

”Boss, what are your plans now that you’re back?” Xu Fei asked.

”Haven’t thought about it yet.” Xiao Tian answered while gulping a drink.

Upon hearing this, Xu Fei’s eyes turned cunningly, he laughed and said: ”The old man in your family is worried you’ll cause trouble if you have nothing to do, so he wants you to work at the police station for a while, what do you think...”

”What? So you’re here as a persuasive talker, I’m telling you, no way! No one can make me do it!” Xiao Tian replied unpleasantly, going to the police station would be like being free labor.

”Sure you don’t want to go? I arranged quite an attractive place full of beauties at the police station just for you.” Xu Fei winked and grinned.

”I’ll report there tomorrow!” Xiao Tian instantly changed his tone, shamelessly smiling.

”Hahaha, boss, you’re still the same, can’t live without beauty.” Xu Fei laughed heartily, knowing that Xiao Tian would agree.

”Screw you!” Xiao Tian glared at him, then stood up. ”I’m going to take a piss.”

”Come back quickly, waiting to have a good fight with you.”

”Young Master Xu, is this the man you said could kill with a look? Doesn’t seem impressive at all.” At this time, the mature woman approached, although she said flattering words earlier to Xiao Tian, in reality, she looked down on Xiao Tian’s appearance of decadence and destitution.

Xu Fei immediately frowned, displeased: ”Qiangwei, don’t talk nonsense, a man like him is beyond your grasp, not to mention himself, his background alone is enough to terrify anyone.”

”What background?” Qiangwei asked curiously.

”His family is a military lineage, ancestors were revolutionary martyrs, everyone in the family is military personnel, and his grandfather even often appears on central news, what do you think?”

”No way?” Qiangwei was shocked, then why does he look nothing like someone from a military background, instead looking like a decadent young man with nothing going on.

Xu Fei snorted: ”That’s not all, he is the most outstanding military person in his family; the family was already in decline, but because of his exceptional skills, his grandfather earned repeated promotions, even national leaders entrusted him with security tasks.”

”He created a record of defeating a hundred elite special forces alone, single-handedly ventured into a warlord’s camp in Africa to rescue hostages and retreat unscathed; no one has broken this record to date, do you know how many military personnel nationwide see him as a role model?”

Xu Fei could tolerate Qiangwei humiliating him, but he would never allow Qiangwei to insult his boss.

”Then why is he so decadent now?” Qiangwei asked, puzzled.

Upon hearing this, Xu Fei sighed regretfully: ”Some events led him to go abroad, otherwise he would frequently appear on central news by now.”

”But a shining talent will always shine, even abroad he flourished, defeating the Supreme Gods of the Four Forbidden Zones, now becoming the Supreme God of the Dark World, with tens of thousands of followers.” Xu Fei sternly glared at Qiangwei:

”You can say these things in front of me, but if his fanatic followers hear, I tell you, you’ll understand what it means to live worse than death!”

Xu Fei had witnessed the madness of Xiao Tian’s followers; before, there was an FBI team leader in the US who said he would arrest Xiao Tian and made some insulting remarks, that night their headquarters suffered a terrorist attack from ten terrorists, killing and injuring hundreds including the team leader!

Not only that, the team leader’s wife and two young children were also killed.

In the eyes of Xiao Tian’s followers, he is a god! Insulting Xiao Tian is equivalent to trampling their beliefs!

”Hah, I don’t believe it, there’s no such powerful person, such a person isn’t really human, but a god, right?” Qiangwei didn’t believe it, feeling Xu Fei was boasting.

Initially, she was interested in the boss that Xu Fei often mentioned, but after meeting today, she completely abandoned the thought because Xu Fei’s words were too exaggerated.

.....

Meanwhile, Xiao Tian just walked out from the restroom and saw a familiar figure walking ahead.

”Is it her?” Xiao Tian frowned silently, that person is Lin Bingxuan whom he met at the airport today, her bodyguards following behind.

However, Xiao Tian didn’t greet and instead turned away, seemingly not wanting to have much involvement with Lin Bingxuan.

”Hmm?” But at this moment, Lin Bingxuan noticed Xiao Tian turning away.

”Miss, what’s wrong?” The bodyguard asked in confusion.

”That person looks like the one who saved me today.” Lin Bingxuan said, that silhouette indeed resembles him very much.

”Couldn’t be such a coincidence, right?” The bodyguard also hesitated.

”We’ll know if we check.” Lin Bingxuan bit her lip and quickly pursued in the direction Xiao Tian was leaving.

At this moment, she was hopelessly fascinated by that powerful and mysterious man.
