God-Level Special Forces Soldier

Chapter 14: Chapter 13

Seeing Yu Ningxue catch up, Xiao Tian immediately smirked: ”Why are you following me, beautiful? Have you been conquered by my heroic charm and want to apprentice yourself to me? I must say, you have good taste. Stick with me, and I’ll make you a case-solving expert in six months. But you have to be able to warm the bed first.”

”Ugh! Stop flattering yourself. I’m only concerned about the kidnapping case.” Yu Ningxue rolled her eyes dramatically. ”Besides, I’ve been in the police force for over three years. In terms of seniority, I’m your senior. If anyone’s going to apprentice, it should be you to me.”

”No problem, you can be the master then. Master, does your disciple need to warm your bed?” Xiao Tian said with a cheeky grin.

Yu Ningxue was speechless. This rascal was determined to take advantage of her one way or another.

Returning to the crime scene, it was already a mess, but Xiao Tian was intently searching for something.

”What are you looking for?” Yu Ningxue asked curiously.

”Shh! Don’t disturb me while I’m sniffing around!” Xiao Tian gestured for her to be quiet.

”Sniffing around?” Yu Ningxue was baffled. Was this guy a dog?

”Found it!” Xiao Tian suddenly shouted among a pile of rubble, pulling out several charred sakura petals.

”Hiss!!”

Yu Ningxue gasped. Could this guy really have the nose of a dog? To pick out a few petal pieces among the smoky rubble, his sense of smell was even more exaggerated than a police dog!

In the next instant, Yu Ningxue suddenly understood, her beautiful face displaying shock: ”I get it. These sakura petals were brought by the kidnappers, and there’s only sakura in West District’s Sakura Dao in all of Shanghai. They’re there!”

Yu Ningxue was utterly convinced. A logically clear mind, keen insight, unbeatable combat skills, and a sense of smell comparable to a hunting dog—what kind of person was he?

Xiao Tian picked up the sakura petals, a cold smile forming at the corner of his mouth: ”Rally the team, it’s time to close the net!”

Half an hour later, a group of police officers appeared at Sakura Dao.

”Mr. Xiao, there are nearly thirty households on Sakura Dao. We can’t pinpoint which one houses the kidnappers. If we visit each house, I’m afraid it will alert them,” Yang He and the others encircled Xiao Tian, awaiting his orders.

Ce Shi was also among them, but for some reason, his expression was slightly uneasy.

Xiao Tian smiled calmly and said, ”Look for a house that’s been abandoned for years but suddenly rented out in the past month. They’re there!”

Upon hearing this, Yang He and the others’ eyes lit up, giving Xiao Tian a thumbs up: ”Mr. Xiao, that’s brilliant!”

”Found it!” Not long after, an officer reported back. Indeed, as Xiao Tian predicted, there was an estate that had been abandoned for nearly ten years, with the owner overseas, but was suddenly rented out last month.

”Close the net!” Xiao Tian barked, leading the team to quietly surround the estate, silently approaching the door.

But just as they were about to unlock the door, an unexpected change occurred!!

”Bang!!”

A deafening sound erupted right next to Xiao Tian and his team.

Everyone was terrified, looking towards the flustered Ce Shi, who awkwardly explained, ”S-sorry, I accidentally fired!”

”Cops!!”

Simultaneously, an angry shout came from inside the building, followed by a burst of gunfire ”dadada”.

”Retreat!” Xiao Tian hastily grabbed the officer who was about to open the door, forcefully pulling him back.

But it was too late; he was hit by nearly a dozen bullet holes, blood soaking his uniform, and he died on the spot.

”Damn it!!”

Xiao Tian roared softly, his eyes filled with fury.

Yu Ningxue was also shocked, unable to believe that a colleague she had worked with for years had suddenly become a corpse!

”Swoosh!”

Instantly, Xiao Tian glared at Ce Shi with a terrifying gaze.

Just one look made Ce Shi feel as though he had fallen into an ice cave. Xiao Tian’s eyes seemed to conceal hell itself!

This guy wants to kill me!

This was Ce Shi’s most basic instinctive reaction!

Fortunately, Xiao Tian withdrew his gaze a moment later, allowing Ce Shi to finally take a deep breath, though cold sweat had already soaked his back.

”Charge in!”

Xiao Tian shouted, taking the lead to break through the door!

Following closely, a team of special police and officers rushed in, immediately seeing seven or eight armed kidnappers inside, instinctively preparing to shoot!

”Don’t shoot!” Xiao Tian shouted again, his expression extremely grim.

The officers looked at Xiao Tian in confusion. His action had prevented them from taking the chance to shoot the kidnappers immediately.

”Look around you,” Xiao Tian prompted.

The officers glanced around the room, gasping in shock, realizing the courtyard was full of gas cylinders. If a stray bullet hit one, the resulting explosion would be catastrophic!

At this moment, the kidnappers opened the gas cylinders, releasing the gas while provocatively looking at the police, as if to say, ”Go ahead and shoot, let’s all go down together!”

”Mr. Xiao, what do we do now?” In disarray, everyone could only pin their hopes on Xiao Tian, this extraordinary man.

Xiao Tian smiled coldly and said, ”We don’t dare to shoot, but they don’t either, right? How could we, over thirty people, be afraid of their mere seven or eight?”

Upon hearing this, the officers were suddenly ecstatic. That’s right, if they couldn’t shoot, they could engage in hand-to-hand combat!

”Beat them to death!”

Xiao Tian roared ferociously, swinging his hand aggressively.
