Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

For a moment, Lupar, Dapu, Didan, and the others all fell silent.

Princess Aireli’s face was also filled with despair.

Even Shen Xia showed a bitter expression.

Lu Li ignored everyone’s expressions and said softly, ”Continue searching for the Prophet’s source code. If you find it, let me know, and I’ll personally handle its destruction. Also, report any further movements from the Prophet immediately. I need to keep track of its whereabouts.”

There was one more sentence he did not utter, which was that he would go looking for the source code based on the Prophet’s movements.

That’s right, after ending the interstellar video call with everyone, he planned to head to the Large Magellanic Cloud to check if the Prophet’s source code was hidden on some planet in that galaxy.

”Yes.”

”We will notify you immediately if we discover anything.”

Lupar, Saint Garo, and others responded in unison.

Lu Li didn’t waste any more words with them and casually ended the interstellar video call.

Shen Xia cautiously said, ”Lu Li, even you... don’t have the confidence to destroy the Prophet?”

Lu Li laughed helplessly and said, ”How could that be? I just haven’t found its source code. If I had, I would have already destroyed it.”

Shen Xia frowned and said, ”We don’t know where its source code is hidden. How should we search for it?”

Lu Li said, ”I’m planning to take a look in the Large Magellanic Cloud. It might be hidden there.”

Shen Xia uttered, ”But the Large Magellanic Cloud is 160,000 light-years away from here. How long will you take to reach there?”

Her underlying message was clear: if Lu Li left the Milky Way Galaxy for too long and was discovered by the Prophet, the Milky Way might be doomed.

Lu Li naturally understood what she meant.

He smiled and said, ”It won’t take long; I’ll be back soon.”

After speaking, he transformed into a ”consciousness” form, his figure dissipating in front of Shen Xia.

This left Shen Xia a bit perplexed. Could such a distance of 160,000 light-years really not be far for Lu Li?

...

160,000 light-years is a remarkably long distance for any intelligent life form.

For example, Eldest Princess Aireli, even when traveling in the most advanced spaceship of the Divine Moonlight Race and constantly performing space jumps despite bodily harm, took several Earth days to traverse such a distance and reach the Hedal Spherical Star Cluster.

Without a Space Jump Station, Princess Aireli might never have reached the Milky Way Galaxy in her lifetime.

That illustrates just how tremendously far 160,000 light-years truly is.

However, such a great distance is nothing for the current Lu Li.

Now possessing the power of over ten thousand stars, in his ”consciousness” form, he could effortlessly drift across 20,000 light-years with a single thought, making 160,000 light-years only eight seconds to traverse.

If he wanted, he could even cross the entire observable universe, with a diameter of 93 billion light-years, in about 54 days.

This calculation is based on the current energy limit.

In fact, Lu Li can increase his power by 2,000 stars every 20 hours.

After five periods of 20 hours, he’d possess the power of 20,000 stars, enabling a traversal of 40,000 light-years per second.

Thus, transporting across 93 billion light-years wouldn’t take 54 days at all.

These are side comments and won’t be discussed further for now.

After becoming ”consciousness,” Lu Li instantly traversed 20,000 light-years.

Three seconds.

Five seconds.

Soon, eight seconds passed.

He had already reached the Large Magellanic Cloud.

Lu Li hovered at the edge of the nebular region of the Large Magellanic Cloud, extending his perceptive power fully over the area, ”I’m going to see if the Prophet hid the source code here. If it really is, then I’m sorry, but today I’ll utterly destroy the Prophet!”
