Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

”Earn it first before you talk, don’t start singing a dirge before making any money. I’ll give you two words: dumb ass.”

A bunch of netizens found it incredibly amusing online.

Many saw such generous benefits, and their eyes turned red with envy, shouting online about applying for the job.

As a result, the job announcement’s popularity even surpassed the news of Lu Li destroying hundreds of stars.

This left the reporters who previously followed Lu Li to Kebi Star at a loss for words.

...

”Eternal Star Lord’s” Office.

Lu Li was holding a video conference with global leaders.

”... in addition to the aforementioned issues, I have another very important announcement to make.”

Lu Li glanced at Uncle Long, George, the Great Emperor, Lady Sanna, and others on the screen before saying softly, ”From today on, Earth is to enter a state of war preparedness.”

”What?”

”Entering a state of war preparedness starting today?”

”Why prepare for war all of a sudden?”

”Mr. Lu, is there an anomaly with alien civilizations? Are we going to have an interstellar war?”

Uncle Long, George, the Great Emperor, and others all looked puzzled, asking for specifics.

Lu Li, with a calm expression, explained, ”When I previously attended the funeral of the ’Lord of Ten Thousand Stars’ on Kebi Star, I learned some information. The Galaxy Alliance originally had a superintelligent AI called the ’Organizer.’ Its assistant was named ’Prophet,’ who, for some reason, evolved into a higher form of superintelligent AI called ’Self-Master.’ This might have been a good thing, except it betrayed the Alliance, assassinated the ’Lord of Ten Thousand Stars,’ and has been continually creating weapons, likely attempting to conquer or destroy the civilizations of all intelligent beings in the Milky Way Galaxy.”

George was stunned, ”A superintelligent AI this powerful, capable of single-handedly conquering or destroying all civilizations in the galaxy?”

Uncle Long, the Great Emperor, and Lady Sanna were also bewildered.

On Earth, although there is AI, and even organizer-level superintelligent AI, they hadn’t seen any of these AIs pose a threat to humanity, so they were naturally unaware of the threat of the ’Prophet,’ hence their confusion.

Lu Li understood their thoughts.

He gave a simple example, ”Imagine if the things that happened in the movie ’The Matrix’ came true in real life, what would that be like?”

The events of ’The Matrix’ becoming reality?

George, being an Old Ugly person, couldn’t help but be shocked at the thought of this movie.

Others might not have seen ’The Matrix,’ but they were somewhat aware of its plot.

They knew it was about humans fighting against the AI ’Matrix,’ trying to revive human civilization.

This situation arose because the ’Matrix’ sought to use bioelectricity from human brains as an energy source.

Regardless of the ’Matrix’s’ purpose, enslaving humans and keeping them in a virtual world where reality and fantasy are indistinguishable is a frightening prospect.

If such a thing were to happen in reality, who wouldn’t feel terrified?

Lu Li perceived their thoughts and continued, ”The ’Matrix’ merely enslaved Earth’s humans, providing them with a seemingly beautiful virtual world. Many died without realizing the truth, so it wasn’t as painful. But the ’Prophet’ is different. With its current technological level, it’s not just about enslaving a planet’s intelligent beings. Given enough time, it could enslave all intelligent beings in the cosmos. And unlike living in a ’Utopia,’ it might force all intelligent life to work tirelessly or even be ruthlessly oppressed...”

George fell silent.

The Great Emperor fell silent.

Uncle Long and Lady Sanna, along with 192 other global leaders, also fell silent.

No one expected the ’Prophet’ to be so terrifying.

Once given enough time, it could potentially enslave the entire cosmos.

No intelligent being wants to be enslaved.

Lu Li observed the crowd on the screen, waiting for them to absorb the information before continuing.

Uncle Long suddenly raised his head and asked, ”Mr. Lu, how many planets does the ’Prophet’ currently control, and how advanced is its technology?”

”I don’t know exactly how many planets it controls.”

Lu Li shook his head, ”It’s capable of infiltrating any network. Some planets may appear to be under intelligent beings’ control on the surface, while in reality, they’ve been infiltrated, so I have no way of knowing.”

Hearing this, everyone furrowed their brows even further.

If they could find out how many planets the Prophet controls, it would be more manageable as they’d have clear targets.

But with the situation being unclear even to Lu Li, it became much harder to combat.

You know the real enemy, but you don’t know who the collaborators are, making effective defense impossible.

Take a simple example: if an ally of Earth’s civilization is infiltrated by the Prophet, during an interstellar war, Earth might be fighting on the front lines while unexpectedly betrayed by the ally at the rear.

So everyone felt deeply repressed when hearing this information.

However, Lu Li didn’t concern himself with their repression and continued, ”As for the level of technology, I can provide a precise answer: at this stage, the most powerful weapon it has should be an ’antimatter weapon,’ and the most miraculous is a ’quantum weapon.’ The current maximum power of the ’antimatter weapon’ can destroy everything within twenty light-years.”

”Everything within twenty light-years?”

”The Prophet is truly terrifying.”

”Yes, meaning if it wants to destroy the solar system and neighboring star systems, it would only need to drop an antimatter bomb.”

”How could our weapons withstand such a formidable antimatter bomb?”

Uncle Long, the Great Emperor, and George couldn’t help but sigh in despair.

Amid their confusion, Lu Li revealed even worse news, ”What I mentioned is just the weapons the Prophet currently possesses. It evolves rapidly, and it might unveil even more terrifying weapons tomorrow, like the ’vacuum decay’ weapon, similar to ’two-dimensional foil’ from the novel ’The Three-Body Problem.’”

The Great Emperor was startled, ”A ’vacuum decay’ weapon?”

Lu Li nodded slightly, ”Yes, this weapon might initially be the size of a piece of paper. Then, either at light speed or via spatial jumps, it would reach a target area. At that point, it would unfold, causing ’vacuum decay.’ If you’re not physicists, you might not understand how terrifying ’vacuum decay’ is. Once it starts, it’s practically unstoppable, continually triggering more decay around it like a domino effect, eventually turning the entire cosmos into a true ’vacuum,’ wiping out intelligent life, planets, stars, and everything.”

”Oh my God.”

”’Vacuum decay’ is that horrifying?”

”The key issue is that vacuum decay cannot be stopped.”

”If the Prophet develops such a terrifying weapon, the entire cosmos would plunge into catastrophe.”

”No, the cosmic ’catastrophe’ is already brewing.”

All global leaders present from Earth sighed in helpless amazement.

In that moment, they finally understood why Lu Li, the mighty True God, took this matter so seriously, realizing the ’Prophet’s threat was boundless.

Honestly, whether considering the ’antimatter weapon,’ ’quantum weapon,’ or the ’vacuum decay weapon,’ none had been heard of so vividly before, only seen in science fiction. Now facing the prospect of them becoming real, fear crept into their hearts.

Though fearful, they weren’t overly afraid.

Why?

Simply because Earth’s civilization has Lu Li, the True God.

In their view, Lu Li is an ’omniscient, omnipotent’ True God, with no problem beyond his ability to solve.

Thus, George, the Great Emperor, Uncle Long, and Lady Sanna, along with other leaders, weren’t excessively worried that the Prophet would doom humanity.

Some even voiced this thought aloud.

Lady Sanna cautiously asked, ”Honorable Mr. Lu, may I ask you a question?”

Lu Li responded, ”You want to ask if I can destroy the ’Prophet,’ right?”

Lady Sanna nervously nodded, ”Right, can you destroy it?”

After the question was asked, George, the Great Emperor, and Uncle Long, along with 192 other global leaders, anxiously looked at Lu Li.

Though they considered Lu Li ’omniscient and omnipotent,’ without having heard him personally confirm he could eliminate the Prophet, there was still some underlying worry.

Can he?

Can Land God destroy it?
